So from what I can gather from your arguments
- Absence can’t think while squished by LS
- Lightning spear is a good stun tool
- Central Park has a lot of cover
- Rachel isn’t effected by paralysis inducement
- Rachel outstams Absence
While I’d make the argument that Rachel would be effected by Absence’s para inducement since the section in her resistances that relates to it only applies to actual electricity and neurotoxin-induced paralysis (Absence’s paralysis is more like a hitstun you’d see in a fighting game and isn’t really either of those), it ultimately doesn’t matter because it literally only lasts for, like, 1/10th of a second in this key. That’s NOTHING.
Central Park having good cover also isn’t an issue for Absence. His projectiles can home, his attacks have been shown decimating through miles of dirt, and his beam seemingly vaporized/destroyed all the dirt after the Green Prototype when he blasted it at the end of the second animation. Additionally, your arguments of how Rachel can counter attack Absence by throwing stuff at him or jumping at him is rendered null by him just… flying upwards a little more. He has hundreds of kilometers at his disposal for this.
While I disagree that Class T LS would be enough to stop Absence from thinking since you’re making the assumption that he’d feel significant pain. While it could damage him, type 2 inorganic physiology states that the user is likely immune to pain manip (or, in other words since I’ve seen this on plenty of profiles, they’d have high pain tolerance), and this is the case for Absence. Lightning spear is a legitimately good option for Rachel as it isn’t countered by his physiology, but it
is countered by Absence being very nimble. Throughout the Absence series of animations, I try my best to show them as pretty quick to dodge, attack, etc, and they would likely teleport out of dodge as soon as possible when being crushed by Rachel.
The stamina concern is a valid argument and win condition, Absence likely wouldn’t be able to chip Rachel’s HP enough before they run out of stamina if she was able to…
checks profile heal from having her skull crushed in a single night. Now, while this does raise plenty of questions for why Flip thought Absence’s regen was too absurd while Rachel’s wasn’t, it also puts Absence on the back foot as, by the time he realizes his chip damage may not be doing as much damage as he’s hoped, he’d probably have drained a considerable bit of stamina. Of course, he could try and teleport into close combat with Rachel and attempt to dodge all of her hits, something he may even pull off for a few moments, but that would inevitably end with either a lightning spear or Absence having to teleport back out of her range. Either way, a losing battle.
So… yeah, as long as Rachel keeps her regen and willpower as they are while Absence’s regen is restricted, Absence likely loses. Even if they tried something like hitting Rachel hard enough to send her through miles of dirt or hitting her up to the Karman Line, she’d likely be able to handle herself in those situations.
