It seems like recently, we've approved the deletion of verses when they have outdated profiles which require massive CRTs to revise. In the past, we never did this, but we also never wrote rules about it. I think there's a better way to deal with the concern of the profiles being a bad...
Based on this Staff Discussion, it's better to put the "Outdated" tag on all of the pages (like what has been done with the Nasuverse pages) instead of deleting the verse, especially since people are working on it. (In fact, unless I'm misunderstanding, this is an actual rule now).

Yeah bro, it is totally better to put an 'outdated' tag on profiles that have LITERALLY NO information or actively spread incorrect things, instead of directly deleting them to make things easier when updating the verse.

All the people interested in the verse agree with deleting it because the current profiles spread FALSE information and are completely incomplete and erroneous from every possible angle.

If all the supporters agree on something and multiple Moderators see their perspective then I don't see the point in arguing otherwise unless you have a better alternative that hasn't been addressed already ? Putting an Outdated label doesn't stop the spreading of misinformation and the presence of these profiles don't contribute towards the Devolopment of the new profiles as per the OP hence the redundancy.
