Star Wars Discussion Thread Canon/Legends- Episode VI Return of the Threadi

Well regardless, "Force Scream" does exist in Canon thanks to the novel. Should that be added as an ability in the Force Manipulation?

Speaking of Vader's TK AoE, I'm surprise that Vibration Manipulation isn't an ability in Force Manipulation considering that Vader TK AoE scene has the room literally shaking. Plus, literally Luke's weakest and strongest key in his profile is him describing quaking something with The Force which is also Vibration Manipulation.

Force Scream is not a general power to be added to the page. And it doesn't make sense to put it in the rares tab because it doesn't apply to anyone.

Whenever I have a doubt about something, I go to Wookieepedia.

I found out about the Jedi's Matter Hax by reading the page on its Force Powers. I saw it mentioned with a reference to the novel and went to check it out.

Those guys do a lot of research.

A compilation of Jedi Survivor stuff I had previously gathered:

According to the Jedi Survivor artbook, Dagan Gera apparently achieved the rank of Jedi Master prior to his fall to the dark side (though other sources only describe him as a Knight), and also states that he was once "a paragon of the High Republic":

According to the Tactical Guide, Dagan was weakened from 200 years of stasis during his initial fight with Cal, but fully recovered by the time of the second fight, with that entry describing him as bringing the full skill of "one of the Orders' finest warriors", which seems to put him above most High Republic Jedi. The illusion powers Dagan used "can manipulate even the strongest of minds".

Rayvis had no problem eliminating numerous High Republic-era Jedi (enough that he amassed a collection of lightsabers to give to his lieutenants by the time of Jedi Survivor), with it having apparently required the efforts of "many" Jedi to finally defeat and imprison him in the past. It seems that Dagan Gera and, much later, Cal Kestis were the only two Jedi to ever defeat him in single combat.

Design developer Jason de Heras stated in an interview that during Jedi: Survivor, Cere's power level is supposed to be drastically different from Cal's, and an active effort was made to reflect that difference in the gameplay.

The lead writer directly states that Cere is a formidable opponent to Vader without her fear holding her back.

According to the senior combat designer, Vader wasn't fighting seriously at first, but later in the duel, he starts wielding his lightsaber with both hands to reflect that he's now being serious.

The design director discusses how much Vader gets thrashed to show Cere's power, though Vader just keeps getting up from it.

Another writer statement on the subject:

“The embodiment of this fight isn’t, will Cere defeat Vader, it’s will Cere become a Jedi Master who will live and die on her own terms”

In a different interview, de Heras also briefly described Cal's dark side amp:

“We had to go back to the drawing board a little bit and think about, how can we take his existing powers but dial it up 10 levels,” notes De Herera “In those moments you’re still doing what you’re used to, but they’re mechanically easier now. We added more effects and sound so you feel the leap from something you’ve previously done, to where now you can feel the rage or emotion going through Cal the minute you press any button.”

Bode is Cal's equal in power:

"That's the base of how our combat designer who worked on his boss design started, and then from there, we start thinking about how he's going to be the big bad at the end and how we can have somebody that's going to be super hard, super powerful, and showcase that mirror version of Cal in terms of power level and how you're going up against yourself or your brother."
The Ninth Sister was one of the deadliest warriors in the Inquisitorious by the time of the game, though was still soundly defeated by Cal.

Can I put this in my sandbox?

Seriously, it seems like most Star Wars fans on Reddit are still living in the 90s.

I saw a post talking about the balance of the Force, about light and dark being balanced.

And then a bunch of George Lucas widows chimed in saying, "No, boo-hoo, the balance is the light side subduing the dark side, boo-hoo, George Lucas said that, it's his vision."

It seems they can't wrap their heads around the fact that George Lucas hasn't owned Star Wars for about 14 years. That his vision is no longer relevant. Disney doesn't need to, and at times won't, follow his vision.

Even ******' Legends didn't follow his vision lmfao

There's pretty much nothing to be done if the calculations aren't accepted.

I mean, there is something to be done, which is to remove the 7-B and try a scale with lower values.

But basically everyone will be 8-B, except for the top tier, which is Vader Rebels onwards and anything comparable to it. Because, as far as I remember, Yoda's feat in the mountains was being aided by the planet.
Has there been a VSBW calc for Kanan holding back the fuel depot explosion?

I imagine that would be higher than 8-B and I can do that pretty quickly if needs be.

I recommend doing that. If the High Republic feat and the proceeding rescale goes through, Obi-Wan's Padawan key needs something to scale to.

Oh and since I have this up and Obi-Wan has a now applied rework...

I don't think so. And even if it exists, I think it'll be so old that there are better methods to do it.

Besides, is it valid...? Because Kanan kind of died in that, even though he contained the explosion for quite a while.

He held it back long enough that I think he should scale to it, especially since he was only truly overpowered when he chose to divert some of his power to get the rest of the crew to safety.

The only calcs I can find of it are off-site, so I’ll try to whip something up tonight.

According to the website, Kanan was also moving the ship while being engulfed in the explosion.

Episode gallery 10/10
The blast is powerful. Reaching out with the Force, Kanan holds back the inferno with one hand and pushes Hera onto the gunship with the other. Suddenly, his eyes become whole once more. Kanan, at peace, let's go of the blast, moving the ship out of harm's way as the flames engulf him.
