how is it going with the omnidroid calc?bump
Congratulations!creazy, i got my licence before getting this verse at tier 7
how is it going with the omnidroid calc?
third time does the charm i suppose.Congratulations!![]()
OK, I DID IT ONE LAST TIME, AND NOW IT'S MUCH MORE REASONABLE. CAN WE PLEASE MOVE ONOk, I updated the calc again, and somehow it got even HIGHER than the original high end
I probably messed something up back there cause there's no way in hell that's the case
gun license, aromatherapy license, skydiving instructor license, license to kill, fishing license...creazy, i got my licence before getting this verse at tier 7
how is it going with the omnidroid calc?
no I will torture you forever. redo it again. I have not looked at the changes yet.OK, I DID IT ONE LAST TIME, AND NOW IT'S MUCH MORE REASONABLE. CAN WE PLEASE MOVE ON
So I'm at work currently, ergo I cannot give sufficient time to look at how the calc changed or what IDK posted, but I do have a new fear nibbling at the back of my brain stem.Which is the consensus so far?
I actually thought of that too, and I was concerned that it may downgrade the feat.So I'm at work currently, ergo I cannot give sufficient time to look at how the calc changed or what IDK posted, but I do have a new fear nibbling at the back of my brain stem.
Our standards were (and possibly are, I am old and they don't always tell me when things change) that in situations of kinetic energy vs physical damage, physical damage would take priority. I wanted to see the impact, because I am wondering if the impact shows even more damage to the immediate area, because iirc, it looked mostly just like a crater fitted around its body. This would be a case where the 7-C value (or whatever it is now, I haven't checked IDK's revision) would contradict the actual physical damage inflicted. At this point, if nothing else supported Tier 7, I would have to twirl my evil mustache and reject the revision.
These are my thoughts on the subject at this very moment. Probably should have considered this earlier, but I'm in my upper 20s now, so my brain is only a few years from jellifying.
driving licensegun license, aromatherapy license, skydiving instructor license, license to kill, fishing license...
well as a proud warm-blooded American I have my gun license so I suppose we'll have to play a bit of Chicken.driving license
now i can run you over
Thank you for evaluating the calc. Masked is afraid they must now ask you to resolve a dispute involving the scaling.I am going to extend a sign-off on using the calc's value, only as a "possibly" rating. It is now within the bounds of consideration, and has at least some support, even if said support is a bit murky.
i suppose i can add you to the supporters list, yes?well as a proud warm-blooded American I have my gun license so I suppose we'll have to play a bit of Chicken.
anywho. I've looked at the videos. IDK is right that it lands in water, but realistically, the volume of water is so small (it looks to be like... a normal sized lake?) that a 7-C impact should have still decimated the surrounding area pretty heavily, rather than making one relatively small gap in the ground.
That said. I do think that the lake softened the blow somewhat, and it being a cartoon, and it being a situation where we never see an ideal shot of the crash, I am going to extend a sign-off on using the calc's value, only as a "possibly" rating. It is now within the bounds of consideration, and has at least some support, even if said support is a bit murky.
going over this, I do agree with your perspective over the counter one.Thank you for evaluating the calc. Masked is afraid they must now ask you to resolve a dispute involving the scaling.
This thread and its supporters wish to use the Omnidroid v.10's durability as justification for upgrading Mr. Incredible to Town level.
Masked disagrees, and would prefer the V10's scaling to remain isolated from the rest of the verse, as it is now, since it is currently accepted as a stonewall.
IDK3465's points:
- Mr. Incredible tanked the claw impact head-on and that a lot of the damage to the hull came from kinetic energy (Link)
- the only reason he initially struggled to take V.8 down was that he believed it was a government prototype, which made him hold back
- both the V.8 and the V.10 were made of the same material
- the limbs and head, since even if they weren't directly on the outside and were weaker, they were probably made of the same stuff as the armor plating, since they also tanked bathing in the lava the exact same way, and also, why would Syndrome leave such an obvious weak spot for Bob? He has the necessary material, why wouldn't he use it to add more protection? (Link)
MaskedDragon908's points:
You have accepted the kinetic energy of the landing as a "possibly" value. Hypershock was defeated by the Omnidroid offscreen, currently listed on the thread as being able to produce 15.08 Kilotons. You rejected Gamma Jack's Low 7-C value.
- It is noted on the profile that Mr. Incredible acknowledges that the Omnidroid's claws are the only thing hard enough to penetrate it, which is accepted as piercing damage. He specifically remembers the v.8, which is weaker than the v.9 and v.10.
- Mr. Incredible can't harm the v.10 at all, and can't free himself from its claws.
- He is indeed able to destroy the v.8 joints, but they also seem weaker than the main shell, and are even retracted into the main shell when it lands, protecting them from the impact.
- Mr. Incredible was given the directive to "stop the robot without completely destroying it" but Masked doesn't believe that he was holding back to a great extent, as he proceeded to throw it into lava. He was out of shape at this point in the movie, though.
- While he was out of shape against the v.8, the v.9 ragdolls him once he is back in shape, and the v.10 is regarded as superior.
Masked believes that covers anything.
Edit: Clarified a few things.
given that the lower end of the gamma jack calc was ok and overall tier 7 calcs were also ok id say:going over this, I do agree with your perspective over the counter one.
With that in mind, do you have any suggestions for what the tiering would ultimately look like?
watch Good Will Hunting if you are a normal human being, Harakiri if you're a weeb, and Come And See if you have the guts to tank it, then you may speak to me about moviesAmazing job, dunno how i didn't see it before
100% agreed, the best movies in existance
The Gamma Jack calc isn't approved for 7-C. I specifically rejected this end.given that the lower end of the gamma jack calc was ok and overall tier 7 calcs were also ok id say:
Low tiers (most of the Par family): wall at most Large Building up to Town level
mid tiers (Frozone, Mr incredibile the Omnidroid etc): Large Building possibly Town level
Of course if you belive that Town level for the verse is consistent enough, we could just scale high tiers to Town level (The low tiers would be effected too as some of the Par family can fight against hypnotized mr incredibile)
He's talking about the High 8-C end.The Gamma Jack calc isn't approved for 7-C. I specifically rejected this end.
For my entire life I was, am and very likely will keep being a sucker for The Incredibles and though i can explain throughly all i like about it, i can't even start comprehending how much i love it lolwatch Good Will Hunting if you are a normal human being, Harakiri if you're a weeb, and Come And See if you have the guts to tank it, then you may speak to me about movies

I will literally always talk movie shit but I'm telling you do not watch Come And See unless you have the stomach to see some truly awful shit. and can watch like a 2.5 hour movie in Russian that is chiefly about children running through mud.For my entire life I was, am and very likely will keep being a sucker for The Incredibles and though i can explain throughly all i like about it, i can't even start comprehending how much i love it lol
But i'll watch all of those and eventually i'll give reviews in your wall, if that's ok
I was traumatized by Berserk read and re-reads to the point i have nothing i can't watch/read, but thanks for the warningI will literally always talk movie shit but I'm telling you do not watch Come And See unless you have the stomach to see some truly awful shit. and can watch like a 2.5 hour movie in Russian that is chiefly about children running through mud.
there are darker holes than any manga could shed light on, friend.I was traumatized by Berserk read and re-reads to the point i have nothing i can't watch/read, but thanks for the warning
Landon can correct me if I misinterpret his idea, but it's using the earthquake thing as a possibly rating, with High 8-C as the main rating for the top tiers. The Omnidroid will probably be the same, except the possibly rating comes from its own thing.So. What are we looking at, then. The sorta-kinda eqarthquake calc? I don't agree with the Omnidroid scaling to anyone, so. What else?
That is understandable honestly. Hopefully the new revisions and impact details help clear up those concerns once you have more time to properly look into everything. So I'm at work currently, ergo I cannot give sufficient time to look at how the calc changed or what IDK posted, but I do have a new fear nibbling at the back of my brain stem.
