This part. Which I mean, it's not wrong, but like someone else told this user it's just a big appeal to reality fallacy. Fiction just be like that sometimes. What's wrong with the currently accepted one??
Can't we get something out of assuming pushing the moon at least an arm's length ?Season 3 Mark can move the moon (Showrunner statement): Whatever that calculates out to
What's wrong with the currently accepted one??
Again, I think you mean this one, which again, is Low 5-B

Do I have to say anything ?
We may actually have to make a Calc Group Discussion thread

Unless it was changed, the gravitational equation method used is used wrong and the distance Nolan needs to push the planet is way overestimated. A 0.05 au change in the earths orbit is enough to make it unhabitable and the new calculation takes that into account. This part. Actually that part is wrong and was debunked by a calc mod here. Earth literally has 5-B KE right now and we're all still alive. This part. Which I mean, it's not wrong, but like someone else told this user it's just a big appeal to reality fallacy. Fiction just be like that sometimes.
I calced it off site a while ago and it was like High 6-B.Can't we get something out of assuming pushing the moon at least an arm's length ?
I'm not sure they would boil so quickly after being moved if it was just 0.05 au. The oceans boiled so quickly that Nolan was able to just float there and watch it happen relatively quickly. I found the distance where the surface temp would be hot enough to boil water but I didn't account for the atmosphere so idk. Someone should ask a calc mod.Unless it was changed, the gravitational equation method used is used wrong and the distance Nolan needs to push the planet is way overestimated. It's never shown that the feat happened quickly though. Nolan could have just moved the planet and came back at a later date or just chilled in the atmosphere out of reach of the creatures. The scenes we do see also do not imply that the temprature was boiling hot but rather desert hot since none of the organsisms were sizzling or had any other indication of extreme heat affecting them. The 5-C calculation just serves as a minnimum estimate that doesnt rely on any timeframe. The distance can be argued to be higher but thats up for debate. That still doesnt fix the equation being used incorrectly however. My point in bringing it up in the first place was to show we have feats that support the 5B-5A main calculation that everyone is gonna end up scaling to.I'm not sure they would boil so quickly after being moved if it was just 0.05 au. Robert Kirkman made the comparison to Superman pushing planets which in no way took egregious amounts of time. Why make that comparison if it's not what you're trying to show? We know he couldn't have came back at a later date since he sees one of the creatures collapse in front of him, the timing for him to come back right as the oceans completely boiled and such would've had an astronomically low chance of happening. Nolan himself says that the oceans were boiled away. The creatures are noted to give Viltrumites a good fight so them being ordinarily affected by heat doesn't mean much, though we see a creature collapse in front of Nolan likely due to the heat. It's never shown that the feat happened quickly though. It can be changed to 0.05 au and still get like 5-A for an hour timeframe. The 5-C calculation just serves as a minnimum estimate that doesnt rely on any timeframe. the thread is for both. So far there hasn't been any noteworthy feats in the BB comic. Is this the general invincible thread for show and comic? If it's including the latter, is anyone keeping up with the battle beast comic to pull and calc feats and new showings? Seems it will keep running for a while.
Sure, I guess, but there are notably new feats nonetheless and also new battles, showings, etc. Magic getting an expansion, BB being affected by it, sometimes resisting it, his explicit regeneration shown that isn't listed on his comic profile, his magic sword, him not needing oxygen while fighting in space and his space fighting tactics, the upcoming conquest fight, his sustenance from eating just about anything, etc.the thread is for both. So far there hasn't been any noteworthy feats in the BB comic.
Capes will upscale viltrumites, trustthe thread is for both. So far there hasn't been any noteworthy feats in the BB comic.
Scans ? Whole page if possibleIn the new BB issue Penvincipals Kirk implied Conq>BB in physical stats
So conquest could also fight Thragg for days on end despite being terrified of him? Nonsense scaling. In the new BB issue Penvincipals Kirk implied Conq>BB in physical stats
YesI believe one of the creator said Thragg is explicitly stronger and faster than battle beast, but Battle beast's fighting method allowed him to last long enough against Thragg. To be fair, at the same time, doesn't the battle beast fight also take place years after this on in the setting?
People cling so much to this statement is insaneI believe one of the creator said Thragg is explicitly stronger and faster than battle beast, but Battle beast's fighting method allowed him to last long enough against Thragg.
The only thing Thragg might be faster than Battle Beast is travel through his flight because it's not like he's hitting Battle Beast with a flurry of punches compared to how, for example, Bulletproof can against the Maulers. And the "very specific way" is just close combat, which is just how Battle Beast fights, unless you imply he was doing sneak attacks the whole fight (which btw, it's not like he got him from behind or something, he was in front of Thragg and simply turned his head around fast enough to catch him off-guard, so again, he's not that much faster)
Only way to reconcile thisTo be fair, at the same time, doesn't the battle beast fight also take place years after this on in the setting?
I wouldn’t call it a statement in the same manner that people like to ignore words of the creator. It was a q&a and a response of one of the creators of this fight because people keep arguing about it.People cling so much to this statement is insane![]()
I think the flurry thing is a non point though, viltrumites can clearly throw a punch flurry, we see Mark do so against the dragon in the show during the prison fight.
Don't know about that. This is on of those things where we don't even need to assume, we already have the answer from one of the creators which is that Thragg is "faster" not "about the same" when referring to speed.
I'm not saying they can't, just the fact Thragg can't do that to Battle Beast shows they're about the same in speed. Also, Space Racer's statement that they're moving across Thraxa so fast he can't keep up with them
What is stopping limit breaker Eve from soloing Goku
lol
I guess the range is poor ased on the feats, but potentially, shouldn't her range ignore distance?
No stated mechanism for it. He's just very durable.Wait...why doesn't Brit have the invulnerability in his profile?

If I ever get to see either Robert Kirkman or Ryan Ottley at a con or if there's an opportunity at a Q and A, I will make sure to ask about it. Also yea the question made me cringe too, why write like this TwT. I saw what Kirkman responded with and sheesh. Why can't actual competent powerscalers ask questions and someone explain to him that powerscaling does not work how he thinks and many people are just being dumb? sighAlso, finally got a hold of the Penvincipals section and man, people gotta be infinitely more intelligent when asking these questions

Physically cringed with thisHe's obviously not going to give you a detailed breakdown on how Battle Beast compares to characters that aren't his (unless he gets clout out of it), just ask in-universe stuff, like the Cosmic Nail. How come it's been over 15 years and no one on cons, AMAs, or here has walked up to him and asked what's up with Viltrum's destruction ?
If anything the ship should be moved to optional equipmentBattle Beast should have portal creation removed, it's just the ship making doorways for him, and then have the regenerating sword added to equipment
Tbh it goes beyond in-universe questions. How come no one has asked Ottley for a full body drawing of older Emperor Mark yet ? or adult Oliver as Omni-Man II ? Man, this fanbase is slowIf I ever get to see either Robert Kirkman or Ryan Ottley at a con or if there's an opportunity at a Q and A, I will make sure to ask about it. Funny that people do take factors beyond stats into account and that's why almost everyone agrees Nolan would beat Conquest in a fightI saw what Kirkman responded with and sheesh. Why can't actual competent powerscalers ask questions and someone explain to him that powerscaling does not work how he thinks and many people are just being dumb?
No? But someone did make a really badly rushed TV show Thragg's profileDid someone just nuked Thragg's profile page?
