You just have to retcon Tom being the cousing of Alex's mother and make him a very close family friend or something, like we always tought prior to SF6.
Alex knowing Patricia since she was a baby is still a thing that is also confirmed by the new novella (which is pretty cool, actually), but making the two childhood friends and eventual lovers is still slightly less cursed.

If you scroll up on this page specifically, a bunch of never before seen users ask about universal and outerversal levels here and here, just cuz of her 4th wall breaking steam page and her lvl 3 at the time
I aint believing for a second this one here came just to express themselves "oh look guys, her super looks cool", if that was the case, why the other characters didnt get anything similar, Ingrid clearly gets attention simply cuz Capcom presents her as an all powerful goddess in a modern mainline game

it's a critical art with nice visuals and that looks cool. there doesn't have to be more to it than that. it would obviously be for the best to wait until Ingrid gets released and everything about her is revealed when it comes to power scaling her. i also don't think there's anything wrong with asking questions about how strong she is even though she hasn't been released yet.

isn't the case for everything? there being people pushing for that with their favorite series. personally i just think the critical super art is visually cool. critical super arts in general are but Ingrid's to me just looks the best out of every one that's been shown so far.

Street Fighter is notoriously known for it for years, to the point a redditor just spread more of it around and people believed all of it as factual till a prediction blog for vs debates went out of its way to debunk everything
And no, not every series does the same and even if they do as well, some arent like others
And stop repeating the same thing of "I just think it looks cool visually", I dont need to hear that a billion times, the fact you keep saying that towards me or in general only makes it look like you dont wanna get dumped in the same bucket like others
