I mean, butcher does consistently take hits/stagger high tiers of the verse in this season:
In ep 1 he had a brief confrontation with homelander, he took off guard and knocked out for a little bit Soldier Boy, temporarly restrained and took hits from bombsight and the final battle do seem enough evidence for him to get Homelander scaling

You could argue that the bombsight anti feat is PIS or an outlier since it lit makes no sense.
Also he tore apart one of the most durable supes that weve seen in the previous season.

Shes extremely inconsistent in that regard shes supposedly harmed by bullets then can go toe to toe with Annie level shapeshifter, Stormfront, etc and withstand their hits it's implied she would survive Lamplighter fire blast too.

I'm still not quite sure if Homelander casually choking out Soldier Boy is meant to indicate the V1 gave him a big power boost or if he could always do that. Or maybe it's just a matter of it being a surprise attack? I couldn't tell you. This season's been a bit all over the place

Would you even call it an antifeat? being able to restrain Bombsight (mind you, he's provably top 5 considering he did fought soldier boy) still is a relativly impressive thing.

i just realized starlight is a moron, she flew deep all the way to the beach, and then pushes him INTO the ocean. she has no idea what his situation is, considering she is shocked at what happens. she basically gave dude a giant advantage and thought nothing of it until he actually dies. what even is this show man? and dont say “she was confident she could beat him regardless” because he was giving her the work in their last fight, and this one was back and forth for the most part.

For the sake of consistency, the latter.
a weakened Soldier Boy as he just unleashed a fully powered blast btw. He kept up just fine before and afterwards.
This can just be chalked up to being a surprise attack. HL would definitely have to work for a W in a 1v1 situation.

Bombsight is prob exactly top 5 nothing else,but just barely due to the power creep in the verse.
Id argue that Butcher would beat bombsight given his Finale feats.
My top 5 would be
1.Homie
2.Soldier boy
3.Butcher
4.Ryan
5.Bombsight
Id say that 2-3-4 are interchangeable,and Im not counting Marie because shes a hax merchant(Im pretty sure she doesn't even have superhuman scaling) and she is lowkey a fraud idc that she can pop heads and shit.
Also the entirety of gen V is fodder.

to be fair to her, she was in a chockehold and even if deep was in advantage she really didn't need to get near water, he could have just left him there cuz he couldn't bring any fish on land so he was not in danger regardless

Id say Bombsight would prolly beat rayan due of expirience gap and i think he also got an advantage in physical strenght (as homie pinned him down quiete easly)

nah, butcher didn't get an upgrade, i still want to remind you that Kimiko had an upgrade that made (maybe) comparable to SB in physical and Rayan was also there to pin down homelander.
It was a 1v3 and i think it's fair that they were all in their usual stats (exept kimiko, she had an objective upgrade)

I dont think the finale acc buffed butcher.Its just an inconsistency, because they had to let soldier boy 1v1 BS for the plot.And Ryan was pretty much relative with Butcher against Homie,they had similar performances.

Not comparable at all to Soldier boy.Soldier boy was beating the shit out of Noir pre rad.Its obvious that the radiation didn't give him almost any stat buff.And the radiation only gave Soldier boy the nuke blast, nothing indicates that he got stronger.

He 100% did. Butcher kept up with Homelander just fine 1v1 before Ryan stepped him and was able to overpower him with said one's help. He 100% got a silent power up and it's 100% shitty writing btw he got rocked by Bombsight, got hit by Kimiko and didn't even dare to 1v1 Homelander or Soldier Boy earlier in the SAME SEASON. He was depicted as a high-mid tier supe for the whole season but suddenly keeps up with the god tiers wtf.
And Ryan got his butt kicked by Homelander 5 episodes ago too, I mean you can justify that he still wasn't that much weaker as he made him bleed but them 2v1ing and winning wasn't logical when a supposedly much stronger team was barely able to hold him off and still couldn't blast him.

Butcher only has one anti feat which is against Bombsight and can be considered an inconsistency.The others dont matter that much,just because he didn't fight SB and Homie when he had the chance doesn't mean he wouldn't have put up a good fight.

doesnt matter, hes atleast physically comparable to her (and he was in a crappy mental state anyway, dude was giving her the work in their earlier fight so she DEFINITELY shouldnt be confident that she could take him in just throwing hands), the fight could’ve gone either way so why not take him to a building or somewhere you have electricity in abundance or something?
they only had her go to the beach so that he could get jumped by sea creatures. logically there’s no reason the fight should’ve went there, but using logic on this show is a waste of time so nvm i guess
