Capture the Flag but it's a Vs Tournament (10/10)

This idea popped into my head a few days ago and I thought i'd be fun to try.

Welcome to Capture the Flag!

Entry Rules:

  • 1 team with up to 4 (might up to 6 later) characters per person.
  • Team names are recommended but not required. (Random example; Powerful Princes (Thor, Vegeta, Bowser Jr, Asriel Dreemurr)
    • If no name is given, I'll just give the team a random color.
  • Only 8 teams.
  • The team together cannot stomp 1960s BLU Team.
    • The tiersetter battle takes place on Construct with a 10-meter starting distance.
    • BLU Team has its stock weapons and no upgrades

Stat Equitization stuff:

  • All stats except range, stamina, and intelligence will be equalized to the weakest character in use.
  • Amps and stat increases will be capped to a maximum multiplier of 2x. (I.e; if a character has a 10x amp, in this tournament the amp will be reduced to 2x)
    • Any one-shot or Blitz-level amps will also be capped at 2x.
  • All characters will be able to interact and see each other naturally.

VS Thread Scenario:​

  • The TF2 rules of Capture the Flag are being used.
    • Like in TF2, if someone carrying the Intelligence teleports or turns invisible the Intelligence will automatically drop off them
    • 20-minute rounds and Sudden Death is in play if the timer runs out.
    • Teams are informed of the rules before their matches.
  • Fights will take place on one of TF2's CTF maps.
  • Teams start in the maps' opposing Spawn rooms. Fighters will respawn in their teams' spawn rooms when killed or BFR'ed from the map after 20 seconds
  • The Administrator, as the Announcer will inform fighters of their remaining time, if the Intelligence is picked up/dropped, etc. like in normal gameplay.
  • The tournament winners will get a near-unlimited supply of raw Australium and Australium weapons
    • Competitors are informed of the properties of Australium and what it can be used for.
  • All competitors retain memories of previous matches and have the option to spectate other matches as they occur.

Tournament Thread Rules:​

  • 4 votes are needed for a thread to reach grace.
  • If a user concedes the opposing team will advance.
  • If a Team gets no arguments for around 2-4 days the opposing team will automatically go to the next round.
  • If a thread gets no votes or the votes are tied, I will decide who I think advances based on the arguments given.
    • If my team is involved, however, I will coin-flip instead to prevent any bias on my part.

Might turn this into a tiered tournament if no one shows up for the Stat Equitization version.
 
Do they have to be from the same verse or can i just make a crackhead team of people that have never met?

Teams don't have to be from the same verse; they can be made up of whoever as long as they don't stomp 1960s BLU Team together.

Should be fine as long as they don't get Budget Cuts.

A little worried about The Agony cause of Peak Tier Remnant's Perception Manipulation stuff. If it's passive, then the Merc's don't really have a way around it, but if it's not, he should be fine.
William is so full of himself in that key that he doesn't use any of the hax beyond what's listed in that key. Remnant abilities he doesn't use unless they're a part of his immortalities.

I’ll be honest, I kinda forgot Blacephalon and Marshadow have Intangability, with Soldier and Medic being the only mercs with NPI, is it now a stomp or would you say it’s still fine?
This rule also applies to the tiersetter match:
characters will be able to interact and see each other naturally.
So they should be fine.

  3. Darth Marr (Defense)
  4. The Raven Lord (Floater)
So how does BLU win against... THAT?

Well sorta simple.
  • Maestro is defenseless physically, so if he's caught out his endless support is done, and it's really not hard to dodge or mow down his summons that aren't bosses.
  • Dr. Fetus has fodder clones, but really isn't much without prep and tech, making him unironically only kinda better than Maestro's Bosses at invading against a sea of rockets, though he is skilled at ******* over projectiles.
  • Marr is frankly the hardest one to argue. But bullets being hitscan means he can't take fights forever, so he could be overwhelmed.
  • Oberon over there is basically the devil on the shoulder. He has no constant presence like the Dungeon Maestro, he's got no overwhelming skills like Dr. Fetus, and he is nowhere near as monstrous as a defense as Marr... but what he has is mobility. The guy can turn into ravens and smoke, can literally teleport, and generally can **** over many things. But one good backstab and he's done for, since he's got no immortality gimmicks.
Keep in mind they take it like, 9/10 times, but BLU tends to have zerging numbers and that includes things like Heavies and Scouts, so they could pull off a miracle occaisonally.

The Imposter and Movie Pennywise are fine, but the Miniseries and Book Pennywise are prob to much for the Mercs
Well, then I'm choosing Gorefield instead of the Miniseries and Slenderman instead of Book Pennywise. The final name of the group will be "The Dungeon Seekers" (I know that all of them aren't really related to dungeons, but I like the name).

Btw, may I ask you how did you got this idea, because its nice.
I was thinking up a gimmick for a team tournament and thought CTF could be fun. I was originally gonna have this be a “stealth” based thing but I shelved that for later.

Gore’s regen is a bit much but assuming it’s stamina based he should be fine.

Just to know, does each character know every strength, weakness and ability of his teammates?
