Except they don't even work together to take out the ragnars. In what way is them running from and kicking them deeper into space because they can literally do nothing to them more interesting then one or two viltrumites teaming up to take one down? What point does the introduction of a creature stronger and more durable than a viltrumite serve if their only notable use is being thrown directly at viltrumites to score a quick kill and then being avoided afterwards? The more interesting scenario to me will always be viltrumites opting for direct confrontation while at a power disadvantage and you can't do that if ragnars are completely invincible to a viltrumite. That's a really contradictory take. Viltrumites a race known to rely on individual strength being forced to work together in order to take out a beast if anything is far more interesting.
Viltrumites being able to beat any and everything is what's really boring.
Ehhhh I mean its kinda handled badly in the show where everything on earth can take down a viltrumite atp.Viltrumites being able to beat any and everything is what's really boring.
WIPNow that the destroying viltrum feat has appeared on the show, would it be possible to split the verse page for Comics and the TV Series? (Then just make a disambiguation box). Surely theres enough separate content, calcs and different scaling approaches to do that
gunThat's the thing though; the chop doesn't actually increase their Attack Potency, it just focuses it. Would be misleading if we said it raised their AP to a higher level.
On a logical level it doesn’t, but out-of-universe there’s legit no reason a punch does as much as a normal punch does but a spear somehow pierces all the way through their body. The hole Conquest made through Mark was also widened because his whole arm went through. That's the thing though; the chop doesn't actually increase their Attack Potency, it just focuses it. Would be misleading if we said it raised their AP to a higher level.
It didWell, the episode did keep Thragg stating that the 37 Viltrumites on Earth would be "more than enough" to tear the planet in half.
Did this guy even ask that he wants to steal calc from this site without even giving credit.

Profile for fodder
that sucks he didn't give credit to anyone and used both invincible calcs and Ben 10 calcsMost people who use VSBW Calcs on Youtube don't. It's a sad thing but it happens
blame kirkman for not thinking about thatSo it ends. I actually didn't like the war arc tbh. I don't mean the emotional beats or the powerscaling but the "war" part of the war arc. This was a skirmish at best. Like MHA does it better, and the war arc there was like only a tier above mid. Much less Marineford, Shiganshina or TYBW arcs.
Mainly the planning and how it's written. You are telling me a rusty ass shit stick ship has Dwarf star level Proton missiles but the state of the art Viltrumite cruiser has none ? No anti matter, hydrogen or proton bombs to glass Telescriya ? Just basic laser cannons.
Actually why were we looking for Viltrumite weaknesses when a Proton bomb can just take out their entire planet in one shot. Or just have Space Racer shoot it from far away when Thragg gathers everyone on the planet.
It just felt underwhelming and not well planned. But the season was still mostly good.
Too busy trying find all the "creative" ways to nerf or write out Atom Eve during certain important story beats to add stakes, from being a discount Lantern corps member to the trauma of going through an abortion (yikes!).blame kirkman for not thinking about that
I don't think its a super impressive feat but the GDA have the tech to open inter-dimensional portals (unstable ofc) which is likely the foundation of how they get access to time and dimensional travel in the future (which was used to save Mark after getting stuck in the desert dimension with Angstrom). Always a funny trope in fiction when Earth is considered an unremarkable civilization yet has access to certain magic and/or tech that puts some "super advanced" alien civilizations to shame (e.g Mister Liu's dragon, if the show sticks the comic reason why the dragon needs a host).not that it particularly matters since there are better feats, but mark performed another clear feat of FTL travel all on his own, going from the edge of the solar system to Earth in less than 10 minutes. ~25 times faster than light, being conservative (using neptune as the start).
How it feels like when you squeeze the sauce packet to get every drop in.Looking back, the comic version had Thragg just stating that 37 Viltrumites was enough to tear the planet in half, while the show has him state that 37 is more than enough to tear the planet in half, which should get slightly higher results, as it suggests that the feat could still be performed by less than 37. I guess dividing by 36 would be the lowball assumption in this case.
I would even call this even a war, it was more like a battleSo it ends. I actually didn't like the war arc tbh. I don't mean the emotional beats or the powerscaling but the "war" part of the war arc. In its defense, it wasn't much longer in the comics either, it was maybe one or two issues the destruction of Viltrum was not more than a sharp 4 pages. Talescria was even longer in the show. The event called Viltrumite War begins when Mark fights Conquest [2nd time], or when Nolan, Mark and Oliver leave Earth.I would even call this even a war, it was more like a battle
Okay, almost everything you see of her is Show original.I really like the show version of Debbie, can someone give me spoilers and/or a summary of how much different she is from her comic counterpart, if its better or worse?
^This plus let's not forget in the show, Oliver is the sole reason she's leaving Earth and she still very much doesn't like Nolan at all. The comics were... something else.Okay, almost everything you see of her is Show original.
She doesn't know about Omni-Man being suspicious until the battle of chicago, she doesn't have her moment of anger and sadness, her relationship with Paul doesn't even pass one meeting, etc.
That brings me a bad earing for what Oliver will do^This plus let's not forget in the show, Oliver is the sole reason she's leaving Earth and she still very much doesn't like Nolan at all. The comics were... something else.
I agree with you but I also like the trope of Earth being scrappy in terms of advanced technology compared to other generally more advanced civilizationsToo busy trying find all the "creative" ways to nerf or write out Atom Eve during certain important story beats to add stakes, from being a discount Lantern corps member to the trauma of going through an abortion (yikes!).
