Wiki Page Deletion Requests Thread (New forum)

The most egregious problem is that the profile uses information from a separate continuity than Transformers: One.
Tier is listed as High 7-A, but Attack Potency is listed as Mountain level.
There's no justification for Attack Potency, range, or Genius intelligence
Height reference links to a wiki instead of a proper source
No proper justification for Body Control or Social Influencing

Hello.

I know your page has already been published, but linking to other wikis as evidence is strongly discouraged, especially even more when using highlight links. These highlights can break even with minor wording changes (which is very common for other wikis), so your links may stop working. I think you should replace them with image snippets instead.

Yes, it is maybe official but these links can be edited by anyone, and even a small change in wording will cause the highlight links to break. Since they rely on exact text matches, they are not reliable in editable pages.

Because of that, they will eventually become broken, and the only thing that will remain is a page filled with long, messy #:~:text=... links that no longer work.

I'm mostly worried about the longevity of the links rather than whether the link is allowed or not, since linking to other wikis are not disallowed.

Thanks for helping out, there's no rush, so feel free to handle them whenever you have free time.

The Sonny Boy verse's cosmology blog and Tier 1 characters were added because of a thread that seemingly didn't have enough staff votes? (I couldn't find any other CRT by Blackcurrent for this verse, and there's no CRTs linked in any of the editing histories of the profiles either)

Assuming ImmortalDread was a past thread mod or admin that retired, that's still just two staff votes which is not viable for passing Tier 1 revisions under the wiki's rules. If there's no further reason for why these pages were approved then I propose these to be deleted and moved to Blackcurrant91's sandbox:

Why not simply inform the supporters of a verse when it’s going to be deleted? I’ve noticed you don’t usually do that, and I think it should always be done. Also, older pages aren’t deleted for lacking references or scans, that usually only applies to newer ones.

Probably because I dont get to decide whether or not its deleted? Its a requests thread and im not staff. If someone who has a job on this site can ping the relevant parties, then they can.

Its pretty obvious that no one has any plans to fix the verse, and that as it stands, it'd be easier to just re-add the pages to modern standard anyway if anyone is truly interested

Older pages that lack a very significant quality, with no signs or redeeming factors (such as lack of calcs, scans, wiki-traction etc) should always be considered for deletion, they arent (or at least shouldnt be) immune solely cause they're old.

Its a good thing that im not suggesting it should be deleted solely for lacking referencing/scans then

Even then, you’re still the one proposing that it gets deleted, you brought the topic up, not a staff member.

Also, saying it’s “pretty obvious” no one plans to fix the verse feels like an assumption. Did you actually reach out to the supporters of the verse on their message walls to confirm that?

And like I mentioned before, older pages usually aren’t deleted just for lacking scans or references, so that point doesn’t fully justify pushing for deletion here.
 
Proposing =/= Deciding it will happen. And no, I havent got an obligation to do that. You can ask them if you want.

Because it is pretty obvious... Theres no talk about the verse, no calcs, its been like this for years. Nothing is being done (And i'm not gonna be looking deeply into a show for preschoolers). And like i said, it'd be way easier to just remake the pages to the modern format should anyone want to. Its not like anything of value is getting deleted here.

And like i mentioned before, im not proposing it gets deleted just for lacking scans or references. Thats just one showing of a lack of redeeming quality. The Tiering of the page itself are guestimates with no actual backing, and the verse is abandoned. It feels more like false advertising to make a verse page for one singular, heavily outdated profile with no followup for years.
