Unpopular Opinions and (Friendly) Rant thread

Because, you know, it's so hard to scale a character/verse that don't gives a shit about consistency, logic, continuity and etc and just does things because he can/can't do it at the moment. It's also makes them more interesting, since things IRL is not really consistent either. On a good day you could do 10x more than average, and at worst you could even barely leave your bedroom since you got sick/tired/don't feel like it, so I think there's nothing bad if we scale inconsistent/toon force characters in ranges, rather than one specific tier
I think a lot of verses could benefit from us being more lax in allowing ranges, rather than trying to settle on one value.

I always found giving toon-based characters a fixed rating to always be so weird, because it's really just dependant on "what would be funny" it goes against consistency entirely. They'd make a character run into a painted hole in the wall and get knocked out unconscious, and then in the next scene they brush off a town level explosion, or destroy a celestial body. A variable rating is more appropriate then a fixed one, as although it's not directly stated, it's just the way these characters are treated most of the time.

Also, is it allowed to talk about politics in this thread or no?
From the rules:
Derogatory comments on religious or political matters (both highly sensitive issues) will not be tolerated, as it almost always leads to massive hate-commenting and negativity. Doing so will result in a deletion of the post, and possibly a ban, depending on the severity.

is it unpopular to say strawberry ice cream is infinitely better than chocolate ice cream and chocolate ice cream in general is straight up bad

I've been seeing a lot of chocolate ice cream hate recently ngl, which is funny since only now did it become my favourite lol

claiming strawberry ice cream is better than any other popular flavor.
Just to clarify I don't think this, probably top 5 lowkey. Birthday cake in general IMO is, not really great. Makes me mad thirsty and when it's moist it's even worse. Bundt Cakes however is kinda dope.

Birthday cake is pretty bad, I'll give you that.

Though when I was a kid I really liked the kind that had, like, bubblegum pieces embedded into it.

That may have just been my local place, though.

"The graymark" is a gem and is easily top 3 best webcomics in webtoon right now.
It's heavily screwed by the fact it's prequel work Burning effect is not on webtoon and is extremely hard to find online, however.

Fuc.k.ass JJK edits left me hearing Juda juda ah ahs in my head nonstop.
I'm just a holy fool, oh, baby, it's so cruel
But I'm still in love with Judas, baby

Oh-whoa, I'm in love with Judas, Judas
Oh-whoa, I'm in love with Judas, Judas
Judas, Juda-ah-ah, Judas, Juda-ah-ah
Judas, Juda-ah-ah, Judas, Gaga

Helps that the song itself is stupidly catchy.

Unrelated, and not an unpopular opinion just wanted to share it, but finally got to play Bloodborne, my first souls-like game and Fromsoftware and all. Holy shit, the thing is hard. I mean, I was aware of the reputation this kind of games have and I was expecting to die a lot, but the lack of checkpoints did take me by surprise and the fact when enemies combo you damage seems to multiply instead of adding up so if you get careless of have bad luck getting cornered or surrounded can get you killed.

A funny bit was when I was exploring a bridge precisely looking for a checkpoint after advancing quite a bit and le wild boss drops out of nowhere (like, literally, the monster thing fell from above right in front of me) and I can't run because of the barrier. I managed to hold my own, but got defeated in the end.

The game is a freaking blast though, and gothic horror, victorian setting and eventually cosmic horror are right up my alley. And fortunately, despite the initially overwhelming amount of info and gameplay features, there is a help function explaining what's what so after a while I could more or less get an idea of where to take my character.

EDIT: Ah, yes, I did have the jumpscare with the boss, with the ominous music and with the life bar, just as the meme goes, lol. Though my reaction was more akin to "F***, I'm f****d..."

Pokemon Sinnoh games are overrated as **** (haven't played the switch games I'm only referring to nds games). The region is bland, pokemon availability is trash, it's slow as hell, the map is boring from the start, the environment feels repetitive. The only redeeming quality about the games is that few of the existing Pokemon are very good, the Legendaries, infernape, staraptor, garchomp and few other more Pokemon carries the games hard.
