Proposal to Disallow the Use of Google Docs/Drive and Similar Services for Scans and Evidence Hosting

Hello, Butler here. It seems there isn't currently a written rule regarding this, maybe it was deleted (I don't know), but as of now, nothing of the sort exists. So, let us make one. Due to privacy and reliability concerns, I suggest that private cloud services like Google Drive or Docs be...

This has just been approved. We now disallow Google Docs, Google Drive, and Dropbox links due to reliability and privacy concerns. The full details are mentioned in the link above.

We're asking for help from both staff and non-staff members to clean up these pages.

Any help is greatly appreciated. If you have some free time and are willing to assist, it would mean a lot.

However, some of these Google Docs links might affect this. They could contain explanation page-style content that would need to be moved to a user blog. Since this might overload your account with too many blogs, you could instead reach out to the supporters of the relevant verse if you want.

The Ultra Series Cosmology's Google Docs link is actually just a link to a translation of the full novel. The transcript of the section needed from the novel itself is already on the blog. So I think all we have to do is just keep the transcript in the blog and remove the link right? We don't need to take a screenshot of the novel and make an Imgur or whatever to replace the transcripts?

If any of you come across pages that link to private cloud services and they only contain text (and are small enough not to warrant a blog, or you feel they shouldn't be one), you can copy the text into https://pastebin.com/. After that, archive it using either https://web.archive.org/ or http://archive.md/ in case Pastebin removes it.

My mad cow disease outdated profile? Label it as outdated in the meantime. I'll make a sandbox contribution. I had sidelined albeit long term plans to CRT it myself. The other supporters for Plague Inc don't seem to be too active any more (on Plague Inc).

I'll lump this replacing google docs links plan into my Plague Inc backlog unless I have a volunteer to do the stuff for me, and if they can get to the scans in-question. Plague Inc is a favorite childhood verse of mine I want to revise eventually.

At the time, the drive link saved a lot of time for me as it centralized stuff into one link rather than many. Logistically? I'd need to use stuff from the plague Inc wiki, and first and foremost, scans from the game itself to replace the drive link. There are a lot of traits in plague Inc for a given disease/official scenario. That may take a very long time to replace the links considering I have a life and I'm prioritizing implementing CRTs and Mage and the Demon Queen Verse stuff.

As for the ability, it was supposed to have been packaged alongside with the sealing I had added, but it seems to have been mistakenly removed by me. I’ll add that back with new scans.
