If at any moment in this fight homelander tries to get in close, weather to grab Tighten or to try to Superman rush him which is in character for him the gap will be immediately clear and he gets ragdolled.

Ragdolled, then what? Does that stop him? If Hal tries to pin Homie down, he gets a heat vision to the face.

Then Homie gets pissed off and cuts him in half with heat vision. Resistance not enough to withstand it + he's at point blank range.
