When they arrived at the building, Rex knocked on the door. He was alert, though it didn’t show on his face. After a couple of minutes, a voice from inside shouted, “Coming!” Moments later, the door creaked open. Standing there was an older man, perhaps close to sixty. He had a grayish beard, a bald head, and wore a mustard-yellow short-sleeved shirt left unbuttoned, along with green trousers.
“Adventurers, I presume?” he asked, his tone carrying a mix of curiosity and amusement.
“Uh, yes… this is a tavern, isn’t it?” Rex replied, trying to sound casual.
“You could say that,” the man answered with a faint smile. “But please, come in before you freeze out there. The rain will start soon.” With that, he stepped aside and opened the door wider, inviting them all inside
"The horse can go to the back barn, if you want" the man added
