- Abstract Beings (Popeye can even interact with abstract beings that represent the idea of a year/time.)

- Magic
- Teleportation (As shown here.)
- Incantation (In Thimble Theater, the phrase open sesame is a magic word that can open sealed passages, objects like Popeye’s spinach can, and even unlock padlocks.)
- Martial Arts (Has some fighting skills in boxing and wrestling)
- Extrasensory Perception (Popeye can see and hear other people's mirages. He can feel other people watching him. His fist acts as a radar and can find his enemy. He can sense evil in the area. He can also navigate without sight. And can hear Olive talking to Brutus in his head. )
- BFR
- Space (As shown here)
- Dimensional (Popeye can punch people into other comic strips or the cartoon.)
- Vehicular Mastery (Well-experienced sailor, and ace pilot.)
- Acausality (Type 1 Popeye interacted with his past self without any negative side effects.)
- Attack Reflection (Popeye can send rocks and bullets back with a punch or even with his head. His rubbery body lets him rebound cannonballs, and he can blow knives back. Freezing water passively ricochets back at Brutus without affecting Popeye. He’s even capable of punching back lightning and deflecting magical energy blasts.)

In one instance, he burst through a panel and landed in a truck that hadn’t even arrived at the building yet.)
- Supernatural Luck (Popeye has consistently shown that he is naturally very lucky. Popeye tries in various ways to get severely hurt so he can go to the hospital, but only ends up failing in the end, being completely unharmed in a stroke of sheer luck. Things also just so happen to land perfectly in place for him.)
- Physics Manipulation (Popeye can stop in mid-air, slide up a pole, slow an object’s movement to a snail’s pace, strip away an object’s momentum mid-air, leaving it frozen in place. He should also scale to Wimpy, who can catch a thrown object in midair and instantly restore its momentum, sending it forward as if it had never been stopped.)
- Text Manipulation (Popeye has the ability to turn words or sounds into tangible objects.)
- Limited Dream Manipulation (Characters can have objects in their dreams become real in the physical world. Swee’Pea dreamed of Popeye getting a black eye, and it happened in real life.)
- Possession (Popeye can enter or hide within objects. Though he can physically place himself inside an object, he can't control or manipulate it from within.)
- Immersion (Popeye is able to enter and leave drawn images, affect drawings, paintings, and tattoos. He can even punch people into pictures, or TVs. 1 Layer Brutus is shown to have Immersion, as he can unintentionally enter a painting. But, when he tried to go through the same painted hole Popeye passed through, he couldn’t.)
- Homing Attack (Popeye was able to make the ball move in mid-air and guide it straight into the glove.)
- Astral Projection (Popeye can manifest a ghost-like entity that represents his fighting spirit. The spirit can give Popeye a pep talk, offer advice, and help him recover from a fight. In Thimble Theatre, when a person enters a state between life and death, their soul leaves their body. The same thing happens to Popeye at one point: he’s stabbed with a knife and is essentially dead, but his soul separates from his body and later returns to it.)
- Purification (Type 1 Thanks to his pure mind, body, and soul, Popeye was able to purify the smog, a malevolent mist that corrupts everything it touches. In doing so, he not only purified the mist but also reversed its effects on the people of Sweethaven, restoring them to their true selves.)

- Dimensional Storage (Popeye can carry items on his person that defy realistic size or cram big objects in smaller ones.)
- Spatial Manipulation (Popeye can physically reposition a hole on an object; he can move a building’s spatial location without disrupting its basement or any internal pits. Popeye can alter the interior space of an object, allowing him to place large objects inside small ones. Popeye can punch Brutus through a radio from a faraway distance. Other characters can manipulate perspective and distance, enabling them to interact with objects as if they were right next to them. They can also change the space inside a room, closet, or hut so that it leads to another room or location. He should also scale to Wimpy and Poopdeck, who can grab and move a hole around.)

- Supernatural Luck Negation (The Whiffle Hens are described as the luckiest beings in the galaxy. Their luck is so powerful that when Ham Gravy was carrying one, he was struck by a close-range magical blast, yet the attack completely missed, and it’s implied he didn’t even move. When Popeye tried to attack Ham Gravy, Popeye’s own innate luck was strong enough to slightly override the Whiffle Hen's enhanced luck, allowing him to land a scratch.)
- Transmutation (Popeye can transmute objects using the fire from his pipe. This ability operates passively it activates whenever something makes physical contact with him. It has even been shown to trigger while his guard is down.)
- Possible Precognition (Popeye with any crystal ball can glimpse possible futures.)
- Possible Plot Manipulation (Popeye can end is own cartoon.)
- Possible Mid-Godly Regeneration (The Popeye primarily seen in the shorts is portrayed as an animated character who is drawn, animated, and viewed by a higher-level Popeye in the “real world.” This higher Popeye can directly interact with his animated counterpart. This higher Popeye should contain his true soul or being. Because of this, even if the lower, animated Popeye’s physical body, mind, or soul were destroyed, he could still return, so long as the real-world Popeye in the artist’s studio remains unharmed.)
-
- Minor Resistance to Disease Manipulation (Popeye can get over a bad fever with no medication.)
- Minor Resistance to Biological Manipulation (Popeye was only slightly affected by nerve gas.)

- Morality Manipulation (When a person eats spinach coal, a side effect is that it makes them kinder against their will. However, this effect doesn't apply to Popeye. The white hats turn anyone who wears them into a nice person.)
- Poison Manipulation (Popeye has a high resistanceto basic types of poisons; he can smoke a mercury thermometer and be fine. Medicine designed to alter his personality and behavior had no effect on him.)
- Madness Manipulation (Type 3 He was trapped in an empty void designed to drive him mad, yet he remained sane.)
- Stealth Mastery (Popeye is able to see through a person's disguise.)
- Temperature Manipulation (Heat Popeye can withstand extreme heat, whether it’s food hot enough to make him breathe fire, cigarettes burning out on his skin, or even enduring a fever of 200 degrees without harm. He was covered in molten metal and was fine. Cold He withstood a cold chamber, Popeye can walk around in a swimsuit that everyone else finds freezing.)
- Time Stop (Popeye could still move even after the story stopped.)
- Fire Manipulation (Popeye can be roasted with fire and be fine. Bluto's fire is intense and can incinerate anything it touches, yet when Popeye is hit by it, he's unharmed, only burned. He was unfazed by the fire spewing from the jet.)
- Magma Manipulation (Popeye fell into a "tub" full of lava, was pulled out, and was fine.)
- Sealing (The seahag trapped Olive in a painting. Popeye was then able to go into said painting to free her.)
- Transmutation (Popeye was once transformed into crystal, yet he remained alive, fully conscious, and able to move. He can also restore himself to normal after being changed into a radish, a chamber pot, a board of wood, or even a tin can. On another occasion, a scientist and a genie turned him into a dog and a pig respectively, but he remained completely unaffected.)
- Corruption (Type 1 The smog is a malevolent mist that corrupts everything it touches. It transforms people into grotesque monsters, drives them to madness, or causes erratic behavior and can distort speech. It can lower a person's intelligence, making them regress to the mentality of a child or infant. The smog can also ruin the weather in an instant and grow plants that, when consumed, turn you into a junk food monster. Yet, Popeye is unaffected by the smog's devastating effects.)
- Statistics Reduction (Popeye can keep his strength even when shrunken.)
- Possible Soul Manipulation (Popeye should scale to Linden, who can have her soul taken without any negative side effects and continue living. Linden is not special or unique; the most likely reason she can survive without a soul is that characters in Thimble Theatre are capable of the same thing.)
- Possible Plot Manipulation (Certain aspects of Popeye’s character are fixed and cannot be altered, even when the plot or narrative is rewritten. In one instance, the writer allowed the characters to change their roles, and Popeye even requested that chocolate replace spinach as his source of power. However, despite these narrative adjustments, chocolate failed to give him any power regardless of whether the story is modified.)
-
- Sealing (Popeye can slam people into pictures, thus sealing them.)
- Hair Manipulation (Popeye can punch or remove the fur from an animal.)
- BFR
- Time (Popeye can punch people and send them through time.)
- Power Nullification
- Darkness Manipulation (A ghost shrouded the arena in darkness, but with spinach, Popeye restored the light.)
- Regeneration (Low-Mid Bluto has regeneration strong enough to rebuild his entire skeleton within seconds, but once Popeye eats spinach, Popeye can dramatically slow down Bluto’s healing.
- Transformation (Brutus used a magic stone to transform into The Thing, but Popeye reverted him back to normal with a single punch. Note: The magic stone itself was not destroyed, meaning its removal wasn't the cause of the reversal.)
- Ice Manipulation (Most likely, after Popeye eats spinach, he can make an ice suit.)

- Instinctive Action (Spinach can cause a user's body to move on its own, primarily compelling them to fight.)
- Temperature Manipulation (Heated up the ocean.)
- Construction (Popeye can create structures that bind and restrict an opponent’s movement. Bluto, who is comparable to base Popeye in strength, was unable to break free and remained trapped.)
- Absorption (Popeye can absorb lightning and can even transform into lightning itself.)
- Morality Manipulation (Popeye has shown that after eating spinach, he can alter people's morality through literally punching the hostility out of them. He once stopped a street brawl by turning the fighters friendly with just a few blows. On Mars, a planet consumed by war, he beat the Martians so thoroughly that the entire civilization became peaceful. And he’s done this more than once. He can even achieve the same results by firing spinach-powered energy beams.)
- Size Manipulation (Popeye can shrink people by simply punching them. Spinach can make people grow in size, and Popeye can increase the size of objects.)
- Transmutation (1 layer Popeye attempted to transform the Indian chef into a turkey, but the chef reverse transmutation. However, after Popeye ate his spinach, he transformed the chef into a coin, and he did not change back.)
- Homing Effect (If launched by an enemy, Popeye can shape his body like a boomerang, lock onto his target, and return to the battlefield.)
- Accelerated Development (Other;Abilities After eating spinach, Popeye instantly gains talent and mastery in skills and trades he didn’t have before, such as dancing, playing instruments, or working as an auto mechanic. Spinach can accelerate an organism’s biological processes. When Popeye fed spinach to a hen, she laid eggs within seconds, a process that normally takes 24 to 26 hours.)
- Matter Manipulation (Popeye can fuse with matter.)
- Explosion Manipulation (Popeye can make his bicep explode as an attack.)
- Illusion Creation (Popeye can make ghostly apparitions of himself.)
- Water Manipulation (Popeye calmed a section of the ocean by physically grabbing the waves. Bluto tried to escape, but Popeye created a wave that reached out, grabbed Bluto, and tossed him right back to Popeye.)
- Intangibility (Elemental Popeye can turn into a lightning bolt.)
- Greater Breath Attacks (Popeye can blow away an entire flood, clear fog that covers a whole city, or blow away an island. He blew deadly gas all the way into space. He’s demonstrated the ability to transmute objects using nothing but his breath.)
- Plant Manipulation (Popeye can cause Plants to grow around him.)
- Mind Manipulation (Popeye can hit his enemies and then force them to obey his commands.)
- Thread Manipulation (Popeye can control and repair rope.)
- Emotional Manipulation (Popeye can hit his opponent and make them start crying like a baby.)
- Paralysis Inducement (Popeye can hit someone and lock them in place. Forced three monkeys to freeze in place, arranging them to resemble the three wise monkeys. Dumped clay on Bluto, sculpted it around him. As a result, Bluto was completely immobilized and essentially turned into a statue. Should scale to this turkey who made a group of native americans into a living totem pole.)
- Durability Negation (Popeye can pull someone inside out.)
- Property Manipulation (Popeye can change the properties of an object that he touches, giving it a new effect or power. He grabbed an ordinary lightning bolt and threw it back, and it gained transmutation properties.) I don't know how to quantify this
- Hole Creation (Popeye can make doorways.) I don't know how to quantify this
-
- Sealing (When two ghosts trapped him inside a book, he ate spinach and escaped.)
- Emotional Manipulation (With spinach, he was able to resist the effects of the OOB Bird, which can make a person apathetic and feel bad about themselves. Spinach can stop Popeye from crying.)
- Disintegration (After eating spinach, Popeye became immune to disintegration.)
- Size Manipulation (Spinach can reverse the effect of shrinking.)
- Freezing (1 Layer Popeye has demonstrated resistance to freezing, as he’s able to break free from ice when frozen. However, he was struck by a freeze ray that managed to keep him frozen. But after he eats spinach, that same freeze ray became completely ineffective against him.)
- Transmutation (1 layer Bluto was able to override Popeye’s resistance and transmute him into a bird, but after eating spinach, Popeye transformed himself back to normal.)
- Fear Manipulation (Became cured and immune to Brutus's fear-inducement gas.)
- Sleep Manipulation (Spinach can wake Popeye up.)
- Biological Manipulation (Popeye can undo alterations to his body)
- Statistics Reduction (The Sea Hag’s Evil Eye Whammy was able to drain Popeye of his strength, but after eating spinach, he became resistant and punched the attack back at her. In another instance, he was struck by a weakening ray from a bird; however, once he ate spinach, he was able to deflect the effects right back at his attacker.)
- Reality Warping (Swee’Pea was given the Wish-o-Matic, a device capable, of making anything in, the universe into reality. When Popeye tried to stop him, Swee’Pea responded by wishing that Popeye would hate spinach. Despite cosmic and universal forces being set against him, Popeye resisted through sheer willpower. Even under the effects of the wish, he managed to get spinach into his mouth, and his determination was so overwhelming that it caused the Wish-o-Matic to break.)
- Paralysis (Became resistant to a paralyzing ray.)
- Unconventional form of Damage Transferral (If Popeye is being tormented by a voodoo doll, he can eat spinach to trigger a spinach backfire to free him.)
- Sand Manipulation (After eating spinach Popeye can walk on quicksand.)
- Possible Telekinesis (Became resistant to a Hyp-Nut-Ist's hypnosis, which has the effect of controlling people's bodies or objects in mid-air.)
