Crown of Dreams | Role play

Yet the flames were more than destruction, they were a message. A statement carved in smoke and ash, meant for both the town and its lord: You are not safe. Your walls cannot protect you. Your power cannot shield you. Shadows are nothing but lesser projection to hidden against the real monster
(Fight had concluded as Self-battle field removal)
(Can I have Yushina try to get out?)

"Hey are you ok" Rex asked to him, noticed the influx of his presence after a long time, there still not civilization around them... prolly in a few kilometers perhaps they will find anything?
Zebedee looked toward Rex. He still said nothing. His hair blew despite no breeze around those that were there. His eyes grew to be a more vibrant color, as if lightning of the same color glowed from them.

He turned his face, and walked toward where they had come from. He looked at what Volstagg entrusted to him. He wanted to drop it to the ground, bury it in the sand, but it was as if his hand couldn't let go.

"..."

They vanished in an instant; warping through shadow and slipping into another darkened place beyond sight, leaving behind only ruin. Flames licked at the ground they abandoned, the air thick with smoke and the crackle of destruction.

From a distance, the monkey watched their departure. Its laughter rang sharp and mocking, a sound of triumph. Victory was his, and with a final glance at the chaos, he turned away, retreating while the fire raged on unchecked

Panic spread through the town. Civilians fled in desperation, rushing to the safety of their homes. Meanwhile, the braver among them fought to contain the inferno. Buckets of water, desperate shouts, and trembling hands barely managed to slow the blaze, their efforts fragile against the consuming fire.

Yet the flames were more than destruction, they were a message. A statement carved in smoke and ash, meant for both the town and its lord: You are not safe. Your walls cannot protect you. Your power cannot shield you. Shadows are nothing but lesser projection to hidden against the real monster

Upon watching the events unfold from far away, Eredna loses his composure as he clenches his fist and teeth in natural wrath

"You phooey numpty animal! I shall enjoy when your heart has its blood course down my hands when killing you!"

He would after a few moments realize his woman and Tiamat are still injured from the assault had earlier, so he goes to them in order to check up and help with whatever he could
---------------------------
After a long chain of events, the group finally stopped. Their steps slowed, and a heavy silence fell between them. Try as they might, desperately pursued what they sought, the truth was undeniable: their search had become pointless. The trail had vanished as quickly as the governments that cover up corruption.

Perhaps it was the Mistwraight that Jack unleashed within their base that made the Neo-Technologists believe time was no longer on their side, accelerating their operation far beyond what they had anticipated. Whatever the reason, Jack and his companions had returned too late to inform Deel and the others, hoping that by the time they returned, the enemy would still be there. The train had vanished. The Neo-Technologists' base had disappeared without a trace too. Hours of searching had yielded nothing but emptiness, as if the earth itself had swallowed their enemies.

Now, night was falling. Shadows stretched across the land, absorbing the last vestiges of daylight. The air grew cold, and with it came the persistent unease of the open air. They knew all too well that sleeping under the stars was a risk they couldn't afford. Night was not kind to vagrants, and danger lurked in the darkness becuase they lived in a magic world. perhaps a tavern?, some place with walls, warmth, and the muffled comfort of human voices; would serve them better than this forest which osilate (is write osilate?) into a semi desert. Even if rest was unlikely or a no needed in this moment, shelter was a necessity.

Rex looked at his companions, his face is tired but he know the truth: this is not the end.

"Hey are you ok" Rex asked to him, noticed the influx of his presence after a long time, there still not civilization around them... prolly in a few kilometers perphas they will find anything?
"Better then the times we almost died or got heavily injured...•sigh•...let me look up and search for any heat signature around...or anything helpful"

Deel flew up and uses his thermal vision to check the surroundings in a wide radius, anything that picks up their interest as of now will do, if there was anything

"Haaa.... I'll go back and beat that guy." Yushina sighed. "There's no more nice girl for them."

"And get yourself burned? He made us all 4 quit after catching us off guard, we will come with a different plan, I also dont intend to let you do as you wish for my land as you wish in it"

"One of the many things to dislike about Mistwraight is that it's really hard to confirm if they be vanquished unless seen first hand because proof isn't left behind." Jack says.

"Yes.. that’s one of the reasons people say being devoured by one is worse than death itself. At least in death, your remains can be laid to rest, placed in sacred ground, honored and remembered but when a Mistwraith consumes something, and then eventually dies, everything it has eaten is erased; turned into nothingness. No trace, no memory, no legacy. as well this mean the Mistwraight maybe remains alive too." Noah said
(yeah, is kinda grimm from Rwby, is rare something from them is left behind, they just turn into ashes)

Rex took a moment, silent beneath his blindfold, even without sight, he understood what Zebedee meant; he could feel it.

“…Listen. Life isn’t easy. I know how many things have gone wrong, how heavy it feels when failure piles up. Maybe you think giving up is the only path left, and maybe you’re even right to consider it. But you shouldn’t. Do you really believe heroes surrender just because their week turns against them? Do you think a handful of mistakes, even dozens, can erase your dreams?

Every stumble, every misstep, it’s part of the journey. What matters is that you keep moving forward, even when the weight tries to drag you down. You’re stronger than you think, and the fact that you’re still here proves it. Don’t let despair decide your fate, because your story isn’t finished yet.”

A few heartbeats later, Amanda and Tiamat slowly reclaimed the fragile gift of hearing; though the world still rang hollow, as if sound itself had been wounded.

“Auch… auch, yes, went i hold that thing in claws” murmured the Dragon Queen, her voice fractured yet defiant, while she brushed the dust from her gown

Amanda's gaze drifted far into the town, her words fell soft, yet heavy as iron becuase in this moment, the reputation of her lord is in danger:
"I suppose... even if we slay the monkey later, the harm has already carved its mark. Wounds may be bound, flesh may knit again but trust, once broken, is a scar upon the soul. Doubt lingers longer than blood, and harder than bone."

"And get yourself burned? He made us all 4 quit after catching us off guard, we will come with a different plan,
"Counterpoint, my muscles was almost done adapting. I coulda beaten him!"
I also dont intend to let you do as you wish for my land as you wish in it"
"But fine, I'll go... calm down or something.."

"You think I don't know that?" He interrupted, his voice gravely and abrupt in delivery. A subtle thunder underscored his words. Winds swirled around him at a higher velocity, the lightning in his eyes fiercer than ever as he faced Rex. Then, he looked back down.

"I know I can't quit. I can't stop going. But it doesn't stop hurting either."

Jagged spikes of ice protrude from the ground, like a phalanx of Spartan javelins to keep opponents at bay.

"Leave me alone."

"At least you are dealing with a lot of our current situation better than me, because I am going to attempt to force the nearest ant colony I can find to experience my current emotions instead of me and see if I can figure out their color." Jack says scanning the area with his turnip.

"Let us go to my office dear Amanda...Miss Tiamat, I shall prepare the best resting place for your mighty presence I can afford in the town immediately..."

Told them both, as what happened now was already done, best he could do is tell his men to help with whatever they could from the aftermath left
"Counterpoint, my muscles was almost done adapting. I coulda beaten him!"

"Little lady you shall understand...that there are rules around the very ground you stand on or float on in case of flight...therefore I...Lord Eredna Yyob, demand of you to respect the authority over my lands while in it...did I make myself clear? I better not get the unpleasant surprise of you going out of your way doing as you want..."
Konoe was holding Xordenia, petting her.
She purrs while becoming soft just like jelly, she was in a lazy mood, wanting just to be spoiled and sleepy, just like your average cat, as usual

Clarified for her better in regards to his words

"If you wish to be helpful, help me with my dear Amanda and Miss Tiamat..."

"... And what could help that?" he asked, turning his gaze toward Zeb, Rex’s voice cut through the storm of his words.

“If I leave you alone, that could mean I don’t care about your situation. That could mean I’m willing to let you drown in it” His tone softened, though the weight of his words remained. “But if I stay, that mean you care enough for other to see how change the situation, you can´t hold the world in your back, Yoshioka tried that and who know where is she, this group had always same problem, cannot work as unit, cannot talk to each other, what is going in the mind of Jack or Deel, what if Takea need help with something unrelate to physical strenght"

The only thing his eyes could grasp was the forest stretching in the distance, its dark silhouette etched against the horizon. Moonlight from the shattered celestial body spilled across the land, casting fractured shadows that turned the view into something broken, perphas the looking in the distance isn´t the solution, maybe they should try to choose another option, civilizations always left signals

He sighs and rubs his temples gently to calm down a bit of his frustration had at this very moment

"I am terribly sorry I called you out from such long distances miss Tiamat, only to end up in such a failure, I will take responsibility for my incompetence had"

Deel flew up and uses his thermal vision to check the surroundings in a wide radius, anything that picks up their interest as of now will do, if there was anything
As Deel’s wings beat against the cool night air above the forest.

At first, the land seemed barren; only the faint glow of small creatures scurrying through the underbrush, the dim warmth of trees breathing in silence but then, far off in the distance, a single point of heat shimmered against the horizon. It was no mere campfire, nor the fleeting spark of a traveler’s torch becuase the glow is something large

From this height, the shape was uncertain, blurred by distance and night. Yet the contours suggested walls, a roof, perhaps the bones of a structure. Could it be a tavern? A roadside refuge where weary souls paused to rest before continuing their journeys?

(I was only really looking for signs of ants)

he notice something a bit distance, a little difficult to see because of the undergrowth, but there it is: a group of ants carrying what appears to be a sugar piece towards a hole

He descends down and informs the others if what he saw with his vision and what should be done about it
"I guess is our best option so far, even if isn´t a tavern we can still ask for instructions to find somewhere" Rex aswner

"I just need time. Alone."

Zebedee said no more, walking away from them for the time being. He apparently just needed some time to get his head on straight. There was still some lingering resentment he had toward the group. He especially didn't want to hear anything from the man who was his grandfather's lapdog, at least, that was his perception of him. He needed to wrestle with his own thoughts, including how he felt about the group he was with. Their presence, he felt, would taint his judgment.

The events from a week ago were still fresh in his mind.
Speaking of her, she observed the Weatherwraith leaving. Her body was practically feeding from his rage and swirling emotions. The shift in winds and thunder in his voice made her begin to gauge his strength. Her muscle fibers tensed as a smirk spread across her face.

"Yo."

The depressed hero-for-hire sighed with vitriol emanating from his voice. Her. She was one of the biggest offenders in his mind: A monster. A woman who turned herself into a weapon. A psychopathic beast that used terror in her home as an excuse to kill for fun.

Everything but a hero. What the Gallen saw was different: Anger. The increased likelihood of lethal force. His hatred, which would incentivize him to go all-out against her. Another fight she was yearning for after the last few battles she was in.

"I told you to leave me alone..." He said to her, repeating his sentiment in a way that towed the line between fatigue and a threat.

"I know what you said," The Gallen responded.

The winds flared up. A confrontation was clearly about to be underway, and Taeka was anticipating every second of it.

Jack smiles as he dumps his annoyance at himself over the fallout of luring the mistwraith to the base on the ant colony. "So, if Zeb goes rogue are we obliged to try to get the stone from him, it was provided expressly for the purpose of helping our mission and he still hasn't actually used it if I am not mistaken?" Jack inquires to the group.

"Are they gonna fight now? At this moment?" Konoe asked, almost to herself but was said out loud for anyone to answer.

The winds howled around the group
"That's because we don't have a leader. Your Grandfather and Miss Sasha were dead. Even if Yoshioka were here, I doubt she could lead us with her unorthodoxical methods. We should at least prioritize that which is paramount..." Konoe suggested. "If my mother were here, she would've said those word-for-word."

Yushina carried Tiamat as she did. "Lifting weights...." she muttered
"Hh, i can wall you know, i was just knock down by something that attack my ears, not my legs" She comment

"Deel is right, so far he seems still processing, let's give him a day or two before make assumptions" Noah comment

Are they gonna fight now? At this moment?" Konoe asked, almost to herself but was said out loud for anyone to answer.
"I don't think so, fighting to clean frustration never end good as one could think, i see that once with two siblings, fix a bit their relation but ehhh, it could have be better if both had talk things out" Noah said

"I figure we could probably just ask for it back if needed, I just want to know if it is needed? I mean he only joined us because he wanted to be a hero and that hasn't worked out the best," Jack says with uncertainty in his voice, "Of course I hope to start improving on successful heroics."

"Hh, i can wall you know, i was just knock down by something that attack my ears, not my legs" She comment.

"Thank you dear, •sigh•...thank you..."

He grabs her hands and squeezes it a little, he needed to hear some support, even a little as he may be getting, should be enough to have him calm down a bit

(Do the ants do anything interesting because of Jack giving them his stress.)

"Your guys told me to help you, so... Isn't that what I'm doing?" Yushina asked.
"I-, you know what, actually i have a mission for you" Tiamat said with something in mind
"Right...." Konoe nodded.

"Alright" Rex agree while walking, those with super senses could feel something in the distance, a few kilometers, likely the structure that Deel see before

"I don't see why we can't talk about it on the way." Jack says.

(Do the ants do anything interesting because of Jack giving them his stress.)
"wel"

While the group was talking, in the small world, the ants that were struck by Jack's negativity would stop cooperating on tasks such as transporting food; the frustration translated into constant collisions between them, as if they thought the others were making a mistake.

"I-, you know what, actually i have a mission for you" Tiamat said with something in mind
"Bruh, we just got from a fight. The lover couple over there are having their moment..." Yushina replied.

"Alright" Rex agree while walking, those with super senses could feel something in the distance, a few kilometers, likely the structure that Deel see before
Konoe stood up and carried the cat with her, standing near Rex.

Jack stops tormenting the ants and follows Rex alongside Aonbharr. "I suppose you would prefer to wait until you rested to deal with whatever would prompt me to say that?" Jack asks jokingly.

"It's nothing, sir. Today we had to go through something out of the ordinary. We must take this calmly" she said, tilting her head slightly with a little smile
He places his hand on her cheek and gently rubs it as he looks at her

"What would I do if I didnt have some moral support from my right hand woman..."

Afterwards he holds her hand to walk their way to his office along the others before getting Tiamat a room, they had to talk a few things
"Alright" Rex agree while walking, those with super senses could feel something in the distance, a few kilometers, likely the structure that Deel see before
"Something from where we are headed...I can feel it in the distance....just in any case, keep your guard up"

"Alright guys, lets see what we found there"

It took them a few kilometers but they see it in the distance a tavern/manor(?) At 2 kilometers away

Tiamat just sighed before said "Alright, lets look a place were to sleep"

Afterwards he holds her hand to walk their way to his office along the others before getting Tiamat a room, they had to talk a few things

"He thinks it wouldn't be that big a deal to sleep outside." Jack says before pausing.

"Regarding the group unity thing. There was a ritual my community used to do a ritual to link the minds of our leaders to Aonbharr and also others who did the same we could try looking into, I personally thought Sasha's connection between us was useful." Jack says.

"Maybe, what about Aonbharr what you think he thinks ablut this situation?"

"Alright guys, lets see what we found there"

It took them a few kilometers but they see it in the distance a tavern/manor(?) At 2 kilometers away

She sighed. "There could be a chance that that dragon-virus thingy could be spread and get worse. And if anything, it should be you encouraging us to go around, but... I'm no jerk to be pushy..."

Her hand glowed an outline as light emerged from it, ready to accompany Deel in his attack.

"Please watch my back, Xordy. It could be an ambush..."

"I have a few ideas of who could help us with that, but it will take a time for me to found her" tiamat said while walk into her room
"That's convenient..." Yushina crossed her arms.
