also Kronos cut down his father exist as primary canon also is very big deal. It's really hard to convincing people cronos has such feat using GoW Ascension web statement timeline back in 2013

Maybe not, maybe Santa Monica will remake GOW 1 and incorporate the story of GOW Ascension to match the story and events of GOW Chains of Olympus. This would make the GOW 1 remake complete and longer, as well as changing some things about the story. That's what I think.

We don't give a s-h-i-t about what people think.

We've known this since at least the Myth to Legend documentary that there is only one singular Cronos in GoW and the one that Kratos meets is the same exact one that killed Uranus. All the guidebooks and even the damn novels say so. Sons of Sparta confirming it in the flesh is the killshot.

btw looks like chaos is formless void is definitely new. Are there other sources that literally said chaos is formless void ? For some reason this feat actually greater than odin killing ymir ?
 
When Cronos found out Gaias nymphs protected child Zeus he turned Amalthia into a griffin as punishment. Neat bit of transmutation hax for the big guy.
 
one thing i found interesting is magical artefact, orbs magic looks pretty common in daily life of laconia society
 
Might need to go relook the lexicon again but I'm pretty sure Cronos could still scale to Uranus (Albeit by some hefty downscaling instead of upscaling like he currently does), I'm 90% sure one of the lexicon stories for one of the titans mentioned that several of them were able to restrain Uranus so he couldn't defend himself from Cronos lobbing off his manhood

  • A sickle forged by a Primordial.
  • His four brothers holding down Uranus.
  • Uranus being offguard and thinking he's gonna bang Gaia

Just to castrate him and take his throne. Heavy downscale though, but yeah.

Nothing. The novel used to contradict what we believed was canon (a fight). That's no longer the case. The novel and games are now 1:1.

The fight stuff came from a documentary + WoG. Obv the new game takes precedent.

There's new information that may change this into an "element type" sort of counter rather than power.

Apparently, Nyx fleeing from the Day (Hemera) isn't due to power but her "intrinsic nature" as the Night.

Primordials being lower than the Olympians is kinda being evaporated.

iirc Aion represent cyclic time while uranus represent linear time (past, present, future). If chaos spawning cyclic time that would be interesting feat
 
Yeah, it seems clear that God of War is gonna be far closer to Greek myth than it was. Also, Chaos's Flame is now 1:1 with the Primordial Fire of Norse. Hyperion created the sun and stars from it.

Does Hyperion have quotes in the game about creating stars? That will refute all the haters who try to downgrade it based on Bruno and Cory's argument that the Greek universe is just a continental.
