Madness Combat Discussion Thread: Redeemer

Haunted Mansion's trophy has a boat on it with a word "Stygian" engraved on it

Which aligns with Krinkels' description of Stygian being like Charon who guides souls across river Styx

(Possibly Vehicular Mastery?)
But I'm inclined to believe that Krinkels comparing him to Charon who guides souls across Styx and the trophy having a boat are more metaphorical things

Standard Nevadean stuff, i guess
Honestly I think he’d just be a bunch of unknown stats with super genius intelligence and that’s it. Makes more sense for the profile to just be The S-3LF eater and just note they’re the same person.

What do you think about boat stuff with Stygian?

I always assumed that S-3LFs are directly related to the natural power of Nevadeans, considering how absorbing more S-3LFs was making Gestalt stronger and bigger

Just something I wanted to note for all of you

I mean yeah. S-ELFs themselves contain people’s experiences mind and I think there snoopables which talk about its power along with that gestalt statement, but I might be wrong about that.

Also ik triple post, but Stygian is going to be the second Employer to get a profile on the wiki, since he has just enough content in game where i'll tolerate a profile for him, plus he's the second employer to ever be featured in the main series! (even if he's only mentioned in text a normal viewer may never see) He deserves a little respect on the name.
What would his tier be? I'm guessing for his avatar, maybe something like unknown possibly 8-A if we just assume he is the same as The Auditor? and true form would just straight up be either low 1-C or 1-A

He'd scale to the arena mode player because he can instantly kill them.

and his true form would scale to the auditor's.

As the chosen director of Project Nexus, many responsibilities have been laid at my feet. These responsibilities are rooted deep into the very fabric of the world, governed by those minds who dain to choose me as the director. By working with these powers, I have felt their heir, I have understood their interconnectivity. I have I have witness to how I could use these powers to mantle the shelf on which these gods stand and I could join them. I would simply need an extraordinary body, something capable of harnessing their near limitless power over Nevada.

Have it been discussed already?

The plush description is also interesting

"One of the (relatively speaking) few of type Generation 1 to exist, and under that classification his most prominent feats include overseeing and directing Project Nexus's charter to enrich Nevada with reacquired S3-LF energy. He never questioned his Employers as to why this needed to be done, but would rather turn his powerful mind to usurping the purpose of the project to become a demigod. With an ego as large as his presence, his name is frequently cursed by the scientists he employs due to his abrasive and dominating personality, at least until they climb the tower to cut him down for his cavalier approach to weilding godly power."

I added this to the cosmology blog.

The Maker & The Machine's sections are almost done too.
There is this one line for the Magiturge:
The universe whispers its secrets to you in eldrich tongues. But... you've never cared for conversation, so you rarely pickup its calls. Instead, you have taken to cracking the grand mysteries of Nevada through brute force and sheer willpower (of which your reserves are unlimited). You've already seen what lies at the ephemeral borders of this plane. Just a little further until you see what waits for you beyond it...
Ephemeral means: that it is short lived, which implies that the borders of Nevada are only existing for a short period of time and not all the time.

I think it feels veeeery vague and honestly reeks of flowery language than anything, but probably worthy of mentioning

Since always? Genuinely there are so many example of Madness franchise and authors themselves using figurative, vague and just joking languages

Nexus Blades' description
Mag Bandit's description
Bandito's description

and etc
what do they even say?
"this blade will make you look so cool, that everyone will die immediatly"
"they ate each other for dinner"
"he is a bad man, REALLY BAD"

I suppose S-3LFs being used to revive GO3LMs and Zeds serves as a proof that it is pretty much Life Force (alongside the fact that bringing one's S3LF into Occurant from The Other Place is a way to resurrect people)

I also believe that there is an in game sign describing GO3LMS which mentions that S-3LFs contain knowledge and mind (in the last stage where we pass the Nexus Core museum with generations)

Doc I believe literally calls it living energy.

Jebediah mentions it contains people’s memories in the sleepwalker area. The mind part I think is mentioned somewhere else, but I think jeb says that part too.

I actually even has this quote (not Jeb's)

- No wasted potential!
Losing Generation 2 employees is a difficult alteration of well laid plans. Developed during the earlier days of the project as a means to preserve S3LF contained knowledge, these brutish fellows are assembled from the bodies and minds of more advanced compatriots.

- Manners is everything
Generation 3 employees possess an incredible amount of physical strength, and because of this it is essential to imbue them with a sense of caution with their power.

S-3LF Eater is just some unkillable ************, how much of a immortal he is?like WHAT LEVEL, conceptual?
To my knowledge? Not even the prime blade can put it down permanently and that shit is straight prime code stuff which is another concept that is in theorical stupiditly high scale

Also gotta add

As someone that is in talks with the MAX 2 team. Are we gonna make pages about it in FC/OC? Because if there is any madness movie that deserves that honor is MAX 2

It's got basically every immortality the machine has, plus it's durability would scale directly to the god-tiers. Genuinely it's stupidly hard to kill. it'll be completely unmatchable. An 8-A with 1-A durability.

From what little there is public there are some really good feats.
The Hybrids can casually rip the head of a Robot OC which I belive based on similar feats is Class K at the very least
The lasers from AAMO are described as quantum lasers by Jsoull
The armor from the Hybrids is stated to be level 7 Armor and basically stoped a railgun revolver shot like nothing.
The explosion caused by the clash of bullets between the AAMO revolvers blowed up a good chunck of the MEAT Sector yet Cethic had half of his body mostly fine (although the lower part got borderline vaporized)
Zapchon could block and parry AAMO lasers no problem (with one of the AAMO leaders straight up choping him into pieces)

This claims he is responsible for causalties in The Machine and is made of the logic itself, notice also it describes The Machine as "unimaginably large"
