GRACE (2-7-0) No, I don't like horror movies, they're too heartless, y'know? ('39 Tin Man vs Billy Loomis)

Tin Man's branching out to new parts of the woods, he comes across Ghostface trying to murder truckers hitchhike. They fight for some reason.

Speed is equalized, both are 9-C, the fight takes plan on the open road next to the woods, Loomis' optional equipment is restricted. (Imagine it narrated by the Smash Bros announcer)

A heartless monster: Rex_Eckles, Matitius_Vangreetius

He's a lumberjack and he's okay: DaReaperMan, MannyQ361, Nonynho, Ztesrxgdfjcvgkbh, JustANormalLemon, ARCH0207, kwelski

The Death Star (Incon):

Billy has a 1.36 times strength advantage, confirmed lifting strength, confirmed pain tolerance (which can help while hitting a hard object made of tin), and stealth mastery (although this is out in the open, so it may take some time to actually use it).

However, Tin Man has better melee range with his axe (Billy's knife also can't block his strikes very well, while Tin Man's axe can), isn't subject to rage when losing or plans unfold (he won't cry during this fight, the only time he did was when Dorothy was in danger), and has pretty good fighting skill (despite getting caught by surprise by three of the Witch's guards alongside Scarecrow and Lion, they managed to defeat them in a quick, off-screen scuffle).

Is there any data regarding endurance and stamina? For example despite the strength advantage, if Billy was struck by the Tin Man, how well could he take it, and vice-versa?

Not for Tin Man anyway. Billy is 36% stronger than Tin Man's durability, and vice versa.

Don't see anything stopping Ghostface from using stealth and taking Tin Man from behind.

I guess the potential stealth option, in conjunction with other advantages, is enough to push me in favor of Loomis.

That's good, but Loomis' better strength, LS, and stealth seem to be enough to push the likelihood in his favor.

Probably gonna go for Tin Man. Backshotting the guy made of metal isn't the best idea, and considering thickness of materials here Billy's knife might just ******* break.

And uh, axes to the brain aren't kosher for one's health and wellbeing, espeically after you pissed a guy made of metal off. Tin might be fragile compared to other metals, but that's enough to make Billy's knife not happy about being stabbed through METAL. Material advantage is a real thing, and generally, unless the knife is high quality and not bought for like 20 bucks, it's not gonna survive that.

It's a ghostface and a high school student. Not exactly swimming in money to buy a pro-made knife.

What if Billy just disarms and uses Tin Man's own axe against him? He'll also play dead if wounded to get the drop on him again.

It assumes Tin Man's inital hit isn't lethal. It may very well be since he did just get STABBED and that shit hurts like a *****. Yeah Billy could take the axe, but that's also made of tin. He's gotta be careful with it if he doesn't want to break it too. Much easier to go through flesh and bone than it is to go through tin, tin, and more tin, joule-based durability be damned since they're close enough.

Actually wait, it says that Tin Man only has Superhuman Durability. Does that mean his AP doesn't scale to over 6000 J?

Maybe???

It's been ages since I watched that movie, so if Tin Man doesn't harm anyone who can harm him...

I mean, Tin doesn't rust, so that could be a problem

I mean, from what I can find, tin is actually really soft. Soft enough to be cut with scissors in fact. What the Tin Man is made of (or just his joints) is probably tin-plated steel which would explain why he can rust. He should have 9-B durability just from that alone to be honest.

Tin is very soft yeah, but stabbing it with a knife still is gonna break it. Circa, someone who makes knives.

As for different material... Yeah, I'd agree.

I already asked this, but just to get a clear answer: do you think Loomis' stealth would be enough to get the drop on Tin Man and pull out a win?
