(Quarter Finals 2)

Match Rules:
  • Rules as stated in the Tournament.
  • Both are 9-B
  • Speed will be equalized
  • No Prep Time, Random encounters, No prior knowledge to anybody
  • Both start 30 meters apart from each other
  • Win Condition: As stated in the rules.
  • Location:
  • The Sealed Museum (As stated in Tournament rules):A large, eerie museum filled with ancient artifacts, statues, and glass display cases. The front gate locked behind the combatants, trapping them inside. There is only ONE light bulb 💡 hanging from the ceiling 30 feet/10 meters high, casting a dim, glow only in the middle of 3 meters area, thats it. It is seen in the photo below. The rest of the museum has no light sources whatsoever.
If..... the combatants decides to fire or destroy light bulb then yes you guessed it there will be Complete and utter Darkness engulfing the fighters, forcing them to rely on sound, memory, or special abilities ("if" they have night vision or other sensory skills). The museum is silent with no other light source except for one bulb

Did ya AI generate a pic for Snowy? It gives me Umamusume vibes lol
Her expression isn't quite fierce enough, but otherwise the details aren't bad.

Snowy upscales from 3.47 Megajulius's so she has a bit of an AP and dura advantage.
She also has an advantage on LS. A grab will definitely get snaily in trouble.
Given SBA, Snowy has a good defense against projectiles, given the location. As the location is dark, she can use the Tokyo Physiology part that makes projectiles get lost in the dark and drop into the future as defense. So as long as Snowy sticks to the shadows, she should be fine.

What are Snaily's in-character moves and strategy like?

fixed, would be pretty embarrassing losing to a snail of all things 😈

Being your typical Metroidvania character, he just shoots with his projectiles (The Rainbow Wave being his best one since that has a wider width than his Boomerang and Peashooter) and dodges around attacks by moving to the side. If there's an attack he knows he can't avoid in time, he'll just hide in his shell to block that attack and take no damage from it as a result.

Also, are we just assuming this match takes place in Tokyo for Snowy to use her abilities?

Given SBA this should be the second key. I asked when nominating her to make sure, but didn't get an answer.
I mean, not like her second key would have unfair abilities, so I think we may as well go with that. Give the magic character access to mana, if you get my drift.

Great.
In that case, my argument for now is that Snowy has a solid defense on long range by using the darkness present on the battlefield, while she should have the advantage in close range combat via AP, LS and ability advantage. Due to being able to use Snaily's own shell as a weapon against them, she should dominate once she gets into grappling range.

Bump
Voting Snowy for now. I'll wait for arguments.

In any case, should Snaily ever decide to camp on the ceiling (He's been known to utilize Surface Scaling very much during fights which is made even better with his Gravity Shell where he can just jump and change his gravitational direction up), how would Snowy try to counter this, knowing that her range is less than the ceiling's height (10 meters)? Affer all, even if she somehow grabbed a car out of nowhere, a car is only 5 meters in length which is inferior to the range of Snaily's Peashooter and Boomerang which can go up to tens of meters.

Three options.
  1. Just stay in the dark. There is nothing Snaily can do from the ceiling while Snowy stays in the darkness, as all its shots vanish into the future. So Snowy can pretty much just wait until he tries something else. Won't tire her out either, as she does literally nothing.
  2. She could use the door trick, where she writes the person she wants to go to on the door and then the door leads there. That would get her where she needs to be.
  3. Grab his attacks and redirect them with her mobilized writing.
Also, is it really in-character for him to stay on the ceiling indefinitely?

In fairness, this is a player-controlled character we're talking about here, so he can really just do anything that can help him win.

Crud, projectiles are Snaily's only way of attacking... However, what are the odds that Snowy hits the lightbulb especially with that range disadvantage against the distance to the lightbulb?

Does she even know Snaily's name? And based on the image of the museum above, there doesn't appear to be any doors, not to mention how they are stated to be locked to stop them from getting out of the museum.

Fair

We don't tend to assume that being a player-character gives you automatic unlimited competence.

Why is the lightbulb important?
As the OP specifies it is "casting a dim, glow only in the middle of 3 meters area, thats it. It is seen in the photo below. The rest of the museum has no light sources whatsoever."
As long as Snowy isn't specifically in that 3 meter radius, there would be no real need to destroy the lightbulb.

She doesn't need to know.
The Colonel simply nodded once. The Professor nodded back, pulled a magic marker from his pocket, and approached the nearby student dorm.
“He wrote “Girls’ Dorm” in messy writing on the entrance.

Then he wrote “Snowy” on the entrance door.

“Yes, that all looks right. Time to open it.”

He opened the door to reveal Snowy’s dorm room on the other side. The small room had a bunkbed and two desks by the window. Snowy stood in the center.

She was frozen in place with her eyes on us. For some reason, she was in her underwear. For perhaps the same reason, she held the rest of her clothing in her hands.

“What are you doing, Snowy? If I didn’t know better, I’d say you were changing.”

She didn’t respond at first, until suddenly…

“You pervert among perverts!”

Anything a woman’s hand touches becomes a weapon.

We quickly slammed the door shut and corrected the label with the magic marker.

“ ‘Snowy Mountain’. There, now this door should lead to a frigid mountain peak.”

“My daughter has opened up so much. She used to be so shy.”

“She really has,” I said just before the door opened and a fully-dressed Snowy rushed out with a roar of anger. She failed to even notice her father’s presence and left him behind, so the Professor and I fled from the sword-wielding disrespectful daughter.

I looked back to see “idiots” written on the inside of the door in ink calligraphy.
As she demonstrated here, just writing "idiots" was specific enough to get her to her desired targets. Correspondingly, a description like "huge snail" presumably would suffice for snaily.

What existence of doors on the interior is concerned.... well, idk. It's a museum, so I figured it probably somewhere had some door somewhere. To a storage room or something. Guess DemonicDude would need to specifc.
However, Snowy's AP should easily be enough to break the lock of the front gate if need be. So that would be an option.

Alright i'll go into the details for you DT 🥰

At the center of the hall, a circular, stepped platform rises from the cracked stone floor. Resting on top is a glass display case, pristine and glowing softly from within, isolating a small, mysterious artifact (That shall not be named). The light around it forms a pool of clarity in an otherwise oppressive darkness. Along the right side of the hall, a long row of dimly lit display cases fades into shadow, their contents barely visible. At the far right, a heavy stone door which is closed. On the door there is a golden button upon pressing which it will open the lock thus leading you to stretches forward into fog, drawing the eye toward the cathedral’s massive entrance of the wrought-iron gate.

Inside and outside view:

Ok, thanks for the clarification.
So yeah, at least one door seems to be available, so the door thing is an option.

Late to the party, but I did make a comment about Snowy having her second key:
Snowy (if switched) should only be on her base key (not Tokyo) since no other characters' hax levels are this big, and I'm not sure how the average 9-B character could handle it.
That said, the fact that she isn't necessarily in Tokyo means that her physiology and what she can utilise depends on the stage she's in, so I'll let it through.
Other than that, Snowy FRA

Oh damn, missed that comment. Kinda got lost between the other two lol

I don't think she gets any good hax in the second key other than the darkness-dependent projectile defense?

What do you mean regarding the stage?

Ah, I see ok. Yeah, on the bouncy stage she doesn't have the defense. In exchange she could bounce to reach her opponents, so that balances out quite nicely.
