Void Hunter buffs made ZZZ vs Yozakura Family sort of possible. So lets see which family of old money and dead moms produces stronger fighters. Plus these two are inept in one specific field. Futaba cant use computers and Miyabi falls for scams.

so just at a glance, what's stopping futaba from just ragdolling miyabi from a distance with her absurd LS advantage? she either just crushes miyabi or hurls her and sends her out of orbit or something

Tbh it’s mostly that Futaba wouldn’t immediately opt for Aiki wind LS (tbh she mainly cheeses like this against outright evil people or monsters) crushing or ragdolling against an opponent like Miyabi since she does like testing her martial arts head on against other fighting styles.
So she’d actually want to begin with close quarters combat such as attack reflect, punches and physical throws rather than just pointing her finger down and ending this (or tossing her to the stratosphere).
Which at that point Miyabi’s 2.8x more durable and her hits are more damaging, has a spatial strike with the tailless + is about as fast.

her not going immediately for wind shenanigans is helpful for miyabi, but the massive LS disparity would still probably help her a lot in CQC. her profile says she specializes in aikido, which i think would actually be really bad for miyabi lol. not only should she just generally outskill but the LS gap means that i don't think she'd have much trouble pinning miyabi down or straight up wrangling tailless out of her hands

i think miyabi can put in work if she gets good hits in, but i'm just not sure if she'll be able to given their basically equal speed + futaba's massive LS advantage

That is true. Despite Futaba’s Low Mid Regen thanks to Yozakura Physiology. Miyabi could ideally end the fight with a single well placed slash or stab.
But Futaba is kind of a better Yixuan + her fighting style lends to dodges and redirection as you said which would make ripping the blade out of her hands a logical conclusion. Plus her Extrasensory is gonna tell her that Sword is Abnormally powerful.

Futaba can mainly win via removing the blade or restraining since she’s lower in the raw power department rather than trying to win out by striking. Which could lead for a low to mid diff in Futaba’s favor. Miyabi’s attacks iirc do have a freezing effect or something like that, which Futaba’s blooming can’t really null since Cold is the absence of thermal energy rather than direct thermal energy. So that could chip Futaba down if Miyabi has any aoe with that at all.

she does have pretty good AOE with her attacks yeah, though miyabi would have to open with that. she usually just prefers to directly engage in CQC first, which gives futaba ample opportunity to simply disarm/restrain her

i wouldn't consider this a stomp since miyabi does at least have a way to win in that regard, but i do think futaba wins pretty concretely imo. and worst comes to worst if she's down on the ropes i guess she could always just wind gg lol

Noted, counted vote for Futaba then

Before proceeding to vote Futaba, how comparable their skills are?
martial arts vs. martial arts, futaba should definitely be way more skilled just off of actually having feats and statements supporting her skill compared to miyabi's vague martial arts knowledge. obviously miyabi isn't primarily a martial artist, and her skill with tailless i think should be comparable to futaba's own martial arts skill, but the issue is just that futaba has a massive LS advantage which means she'd more than likely just be able to disarm miyabi in a CQC scenario

Basically what Sooshiroh said. They're both prodigies who have trained since they were kids in their specific fields of swordplay and aikido respectively. I'd say Futaba is a bit more skilled if you look at her intelligence section and her martial arts justifications in her PNA. She fights against analytical prediction merchants and other martial artists in her verse keep conceding inferiority to her. And was able to teach someone way weaker and slower than her a way to break out of Kyoichiro Yozakura's Steel spider threads by explaining the principles of Aikido's energy redirection to him. So there's that.
