This calc, which is their current reasoning for Large Town level, has now been revised to Large Town level+/723 Kilotons of TNT.

Anyone significantly stronger than this, like enraged D-16, Optimus/Megatron and Sentinel should upscale to baseline Small City level

In the same blog, all cogless characters should be upgraded to Class K.

The gap between 723 Kilotons and 1 Megaton is 1.38x, I'm pretty sure the cut-off for upscaling tiers is 1.2x.

it's 15% of the next tier as a "rule of thumb" if we're talking about the like 2023 upscale thread, but a lil bit of leeway is given depending on how massive the "one shot" is that vindicates the upscale, I know this because people wont get off my ass about upscaling plat.

Honestly, I'm fine with the upscaling, I just thought the upscaling rule might get in the way of it being accepted.

There is no official cut-off point for upscaling, it’s a case-by-case thing. But from what I’ve seen, anything less than a 1.4x difference is usually considered acceptable.

Regardless, I don’t think the new calc has actually been accepted, so the thread can’t really continue until that’s resolved.

Nah 1.5x is no in range its usually anything 1.2~1.1 thats acceptable
