Even without scaling her to naoya in any way. Maki is comparable to characters such as Kenjaku and uraume via chainscaling. Kenjaku was able to casually dodge piercing blood multiple times and Uraume was able to block it from close range.
Meanwhile Maki before sumo training is slower than Naoya's combat speed. The only way to make this work is by sumo training stuff.

It literally was prep my guy, she was prepared so she blocked it. That’s literally it, when base Naoya reached top speed she attempted the same thing and Naoya failed her out on her bs and avoided it.

Keep in mind, I was never trying arguing Maki was as fast as Naoya, I'm just noting how curse naoya is indeed supersonic VERY casually even with the god damn awful speed cap that shouldn't exist and someone should delete from existence already.

Maki is below superhuman according to one of the statements via getting blitzed by 0.01 seconds, the other statement proceeds to say Human Naoya surpassed subsonic speeds, someone who who Maki is able to count the frames of, unless you think she counted that at superhuman speeds and naoya just forgor to actually use his transonic speed even tho the manga says he's going at full speed. Then your supersonic - mach 3 statements have the person somehow be unable to hit the "superhuman" maki with enhanced senses. Which btw wouldnt matter if she has enhanced senses if shes below transonic since even without any dashing or acceleration curse naoya should be faster than human naoya who already surpassed subsonic.

It's not bad paneling. Projection Sorcery is a technique that makes the user follow X path no matter what. Once it starts, you can't stop. She just predicted his 24 moves to dodge. You can do that with Subsonic/Subsonic+ speed

Being able to react to 0.04 seconds doesn't mean you can react to someone doing transonic movements towards you man what the hell? If naoya is moving at transonic speeds she'd not be able to distinguish/react to the 1/24 interval between his movements unless she's at least subsonic+. Which already contradicts your other statement so yea go ahead continue. Where's the consistency. Also tell me how naoya when accelerating as curse fails to hit the "superhuman" maki aswell.

≈24 m/s in combat, (≈24 m/s, 308.7 m/s) in travel speed, [Mach 0.9, Mach 1.1) at top speed.

1. Hanami's buds couldn't travel a close distance in 0.01 seconds. That's not hypersonic.
2. Naobito's Projection Sorcery of covering melee distances in 1/24 seconds. Next to Gojo, he's the fastest Jujutsu Sorcerer, which means every other Jujutsu Sorcerer is below him. He was blitzing Dagon, and stated to be possibly faster than Jogo. Consistent, they say "he's the fastest" while Gojo is sealed..
3. Naoya's Cursed Technique lets him track movement at 1/24 seconds each. This means that his regular reactions are inferior. This means that his speed is inferior when he's shown to not cover large distances in those timeframes. Yuji calls him fast.
4. Piercing Blood is canonically shown to be faster than sound by its sonic boom, then it progressively gets slower. Can conclude that it goes to below the speed of sound after its initial fire.
5. His peak speed (it's his peak speed) is stated to be supersonic, and the context is implying that everything else he's done isn't supersonic.
6. Naoya and Naobito's victim is frozen for 1 second if they don't move at a specific timeframe of 1/24 seconds. Maki doesn't even move that, and she's frozen. Naoya couldn't even cover that melee distance in a single second. It's consistent.
7. They blatantly say he moves faster than the speed of sound, and they imply that they can't. "If he moves at the speed of sound, we'll prepare".
