Indie Games General Discussion Thread

I wouldn’t know I don’t have enough experience with them.

Being in a world where Scouts would actually be kind of a menace in the 9-B tier is very funny though

Only problem is most of their kit comes from optional equipment, they don't got much hax without em

Yeah but they get 7 things it’s fiiiine. Being 5 megajoules already makes them stronger than like 90% of the things in 9-B

strongest tokyo revengers character after getting hit a boy scout's blowgun (speed was equalized):
heeeeey-3darts.gif

Actually on the topic of blowguns, I'm currently looking and blowguns seem to fire in the low subsonic range of speed

there's a chance these scouts are faster than I thought

oh wait I think the blowgun might be a hit scan weapon lol

that's still good attack speed for the verse tho

I'm pretty sure the repo bot size in this calc is invalid now, the trailer shows them being way shorter than a meter tall

Apparently cooking fortified milk twelve times makes the duration go up to 2 minutes

Oh shit they are planning workshop support
Character 5 is gonna be a spear user as well

I recently played En Garde! on Steam. Very good game, but unfortunately very short.

(The main Character is very solidly 9-B though-)

After 4 hours of playtime, I think Eureka is my main while Rend is my secondary. Least favorite is probably knockt, the projectile smashes can be a bit gimmicky

Weirdly most characters don't have attacks that reach platforms, only Rend Side Smash and Knockt's Up Smash can poke. The Rend one is weird cause I keep instinctively going to up smash when I'm below a platform but his up smash isn't an upwards sword swing

The thread has been inactive for a year, hehe get it?

This calc got accepted math-wise

But we need to discuss if the unit conversion used in the code should be used or not (1.125m vs 1.8m)

I think using 1.8m might be better since that it un-complicates stuff, would mean the Island's height is just what's directly listed in-game (1920m)

That would make the most sense imo, it seems more accurate as in-universe measurements

Would we consider Rain World to be an Indie Game?

Yea

A game I've always wanted on VS Battle wiki is Stick Fight: the game

I'm guessing most characters would be Wall to Small Building level (the main feats are shattering big blocks of ice)

Although there is a black hole gun that could be used for calcs because you can escape it while its small, although it'd probably be a massive outlier

Oh I actually have that game

Two similar games I've been wanting to eventually add to wiki are Rounds and Bopl Battle

I'm not entirely sure how you calc resisting black hole pull for LS and AP tho; I've only seen the second one done once

I am worried if they meet the qualifications to be a verse or not
  • The VS Battles Wiki is, first and foremost, a fictional character indexing site. All featured characters in our profiles should originate from actual stories, from works that are reasonably notable or popular outside of versus debating communities. A story includes a plot, a fictional setting, and has a defined canon. At the very least, the setting should be entirely fictional in nature, with no true bearing over the real world.
There isn't really a plot in these games, it's just fighting

Fraymakers, Cross Impact, and NAIR are allowed tho, so maybe it's fine?

Also most sandbox/simulator games don't have a story yet we have Worldbox, Dinosaur Simulator, T.A.B.S and others

Stick It To The Stickman is really fun

Brawler roguelike really is a great concept
There's also Platformer and Auto-battler side modes, I quite enjoyed the latter even tho auto-battlers usually aren't my thing. Level Builder will prob make it really easy to get footage too

Seems like a very 9-B verse, don't think Speed will be super impressive either but the hax seem like a possible strong point
There's time based abilities of both slowing down time and taking time from your enemies. I'm only like 3 hours in so there's prob some crazier abilities further on

The game is funny too, even having seen some of the jokes before in early let's plays there was still stuff that caught me offguard

Makes sense to me. Should be fine to just work with that

Would an explosion literally cooking a scorpion instantly count for 20 psi? lol

it is technically "fatalities approach 100%" but for scorpions instead of people

If so, it would make the Dynamite get into 9-A instead of 9-B

Edit:
Might able to do ISL with finding the energy to cook a scorpion but it's preferable to use an explosion formula for a explosion

Funny enough the wiki already has the dynamite's explosive radius being 9.6m. But since the wiki lowers the meter size by 1.6x, the actual radius that we'd work with would be (9.6*1.6)=15.36m

15.36^3*((27136*1.37895+8649)^(1/2)/13568-93/13568)^2= 0.29124545874 tons (Building level)
apparently it gets to Building level

I'm gonna try to find the source of the wiki's explosion range to confirm their claim tho

Does anyone recognize what this pistol might be? I plan on doing speed calcs but I'm horrible at identifying firearms when they aren't super obvious
