Jujutsu Kaisen Discussion Page #1

I just cleared this up in DMS elsewhere, but the mind being weaker making his soul drop to 40% actually makes sense, as we know you need a strong mental state to control cursed energy effeciently, otherwise your output plummets, or at worst you can't use it at all (Remember Prison Arc Yuji? He was scared and not able to control his emotions due to being traumatized at the time, and couldn't use CE). So mental state actually affecting that makes sense, because 40% is in reference to the Cursed Energy Sorcerers use to protect their souls subconsciously. Meaning Yuji's output dropped to 10% CE protecting his soul as opposed to the normal 100%.

So it actually does all tie up pretty neatly.
When I say CE is all but confirmed to come from the soul, I'm referencing CE coming from emotions, and emotions coming from the soul. I think u can make a solid case for the soul being the core of CE too but not relevant

I'd like to note Yuji was at 10% during the fight. And he kept up with Mahito and Todo. Meaning his 10% is on par with Mahito's 40% and Todo's 100% (Which makes sense as Yuji's obviously far physically stronger than Mahito, and Todo stated Yuji was already stronger than him as far back as the Goodwill Event, and said he was falling behind the two). That'd make Yuji 4x stronger than base Mahito in peak condition only.

That said Yuji, Todo, and Mahito were fighting at 120% after landing their Black Flashes. So Todo would be at 120% power, Yuji would be at 120% of 10%, and Mahito would be at 120% of 40%. Tho I don't think that matters since it should equal everything out since they all had the boost.
Is it really consistent for 100% Mahito to be 4x weaker than Shibuya Yuji? That would also make Shibuya Yuji at peak condition 2x stronger than the baseline of a special grade and ISBODK which is kinda insane icl.

I mean, Yuji's attacks cause Mahito's body and limbs to explode. Not to mention in any fair 1v1, Mahito gets absolutely decimated by Yuji and always ends up coughing blood and trying to run away. The only way he ever manages to do damage is through cheap blows and shapeshifting his body into more dangerous (usually sharp) weapons, or tricking him (by using people as bait). The fact Yuji also endured a beating from Mahito while not fighting back at all, including a Black Flash with comparatively minimal damage is further proof of that imo. Meanwhile Yuji's Black Flashes always completely decimate Mahito.

Yuji is far beyond the standard for a Grade 1 from the very fact he can fight Disaster Curses at all considering even newborn ones are too strong for most Grade 1's to fight even in 3v1s. Let alone 1v1. So him being a bit stronger than the baseline of a Special Grade (Which tbh is prolly Geto. Geto is kinda weak asf, def the weakest Special Grade, and physically he ain't that crazy. Kenny really made him that much better) is fine imo. Not to mention the fact that Yuji literally combated Yuta in the next Arc while still not at fully recovered, and yet Yuta still complimented his strength. And Yuta is a very high Special Grade Sorcerer. So I'd say it's fine imo.

It's assumed that it destroy trees since it's dona in a mountain that got trees

But Ig 5 is fine

Ye 5 seems fine
you kinda dont need 5 ends when most of them dont even have a justification

Dawg how is the og calc accepted when diameter is imputted as radius

Guys the sukuna cloud split got accepted
But just as Large Town level and Hypersonic+
interesting seeing as how it's ap result is very close to (though above) Buraqibear's Uraume calc
If the high-tier upgrade goes though, Ryu surviving a 16F Sukuna (Who was underestimating him) dismantle is consistent (and now we don't need to deal with Wacky high scaling and pray the anime makes it consistent)

Bro had to tag Dale just to point out the mistake that already got fixed
I wanna see if the kagurabachi guy thinks its fine cause i dun even know what be going on here with the gatekeeping you be making on the info about this feat

I mean Yuji did say he need to use a black flash (2.5x) inbued with all of his maximum cursed energy to defeat ISBODK Mahito

A regular black flash wouldn't have beaten ISBODK according to this.

I am not that knowledgable on in-verse so correct me if I'm wrong but:
How could he possibly be above special grade?

Well yeah, Yuji was fighting on par with base Mahito, and Mahito had just landed another Black Flash of his own (Giving him another amp if we use the stacking) and was 2x stronger thanks to ISBODK. So needing his max power with Black Flash to one-shot ISBODK makes sense. A casual Black Flash prolly would've just hurt Mahito significantly and weakened him. But not one-shot.

Choso states Yuji is stronger near the end of their fight where he states just a few blows from Yuji almost put him out of commission (Yuji only landed 3-4 clean blows IIRC). And by the Culling Games I think Choso is an exceptional Grade 1 too tbh.
Tbf, Mai only saw him take out a Curse that wasn't all that. She didn't see his full power, and he's clearly not an average Grade 1 like that statement would suggest.

Well keep In mind, the minimum requirement to be special Grade is Volume 0 Geto, and he's not really that impressive at all. His Maximum Technique is weaker than Granite Blast which Yuta can endure (And Yuta's Rika blast nearly killed Geto, and Rika's energy blast is weaker than Granite Blast which Yuta can survive). Yuta obviously got stronger since then, and Yuji can keep up with Yuta. So him being stronger than the weakest Special Grade by only 2x seems fine.

Choso contends with Yuji physically
True, though Yuji is shown to be superior

Yuji even calling him "strong"
that's really mostly about Choso's blood manipulation
Kenjaku could be downplaying... maybe
Beginning of Shibuya aint comparable to End of Shibuya

Yuji being stronger can be explained by him now containing 15 of Sukuna's fingers, which i think make him stronger, he also lands black flashes mid fight and it just noted to rapidly grow stronger in fights before

that is just.. not true... JJK0 love beam was a death binding vow one, just imagine how much it makes it stronger when regular birds go from well birds to one shotting SG curses

Okay, but to be fair, Binding Vows give inconsistent amps. A bird becoming a threat to Sukuna level peeps would entail going from below average human level to Large Town level (Or whatever level we have Sukuna and Gojo at) whereas Choso's went from being around Yuji and the others level to just strong enough to endure Divine Flame. The jump is significantly less. But considering the blast didn't even kill Geto, it prolly wasn't that significant of a boost. If it were comparable to the amp from Bird Strike Geto would've been vaporized.
