Sonic General Discussion Zone Act 1: New Frontiers

Is this quote accurate? “Also in the comic they call the dungeon to have endless halls so if I wanted to be a sonic scaler on vsbw I could exaggerate this for infinite speed 🤫

I was not expecting this thread to be active at all, anyways I've been having a good Christmas, hope everyone else is too!

Anyways I think Sonic is at least FTL but in terms of on-screen feats it becomes rough and not definitively undeniable, stuff like Non-aggression gets thrown aside bc fancy background, Exception is vague asf, Rivals has the whole "Eggman Nega needs to take a picture of Earth" and Nega Mother Wisp is almost undeniable but if the orb in the background is a planet, it likely kills it. For the record I do think each of these is still in the MFTL+ tier but there's a counter for each so they're not blatently undeniable. And lasers could be argued to just be game mechanics or not actual lasers. Additionally nothing in-game suggests Light speed travel for Sonic CD and it's in a manual people argue is completely de-canonized. Along with Unleashed could be argued to be just game mechanics as well

As for incalculable speeds, the Secret Rings corridor is from a Prima Guide, which is unreliable (I agree with this), Null Space has been said to just be a portal, and Solaris is just the Super hedgehogs using the rift (although I esp disagree with that.)
Oh and Time Eater's End Of TIme thing but idk

Lasers being game mechanics doesn't make sense at all LMAO???? Let's not make that argument before someone looks dumb.

Also, on-screen showings aren't the only way to scale characters lol. If that was the case, literally anything outside of a show/game wouldn't be valid. So long as the statement shown isn't contradicted in any way, then it is a very valid thing to consider for scaling. That's basic debating 101.

Also, Null Space "just being a portal" is blatantly false. Like what? It's very obviously not just a portal. It's been shown AND stated to be another dimension to which is endless. Let's be real for a second and not just make stuff up LMAO.

I don’t know what’s up with random lowball claims recently

I'm just saying, people have made those arguments before so they're not at all blatantly undeniable, and I also agree with Sonic being at least FTL

Plus Null Space just being a portal makes sense as the light appeared only after the double boost and if it was disconnected from everything, there couldn't have been a portal from Null SPace when they broke out. Plus the Rookie has a Phantom Ruby

Null Space has been said to just be a portal
I still don't understand where the "portal" argument comes from?, are they talking about the weird shining thing that appears and attacks them with red cubes after doing double Boost?, cause it's not same as outside, plus where stated There was a portal?.

Just because a weird lowball argument can be made, it doesn't mean they have any merit. Sure if you strip context from the situation, you can concoct whatever crackhead narrative you want.

Also, Null Space just being a portal doesn't make sense. We literally see them go into another dimension. An endless dimension (stated). If it was just a portal, Eggman literally would not have used it if there was an escape from the dimension. The Rookie having the Ruby doesn't make it invalid either since it could simply be a means of escaping the world. Phantom Ruby countering another one makes more sense than whatever you're implying.

You trying to nitpick the smallest things just doesn't work when we have mountains of evidence to the contrary. You always make these asinine claims based off of little evidence and mental gymnastic reasoning to try and disprove literally every piece of evidence saying otherwise. It would do you well to think harder before making an argument.

It is said they broke THROUGH Null Space, aka from one side of it to the other, then "broke" implies that they did just that

What I meant was the Null Space infinite speed feat just being a portal the two double boosted to towards the real world after being trapped, not that Null Space itself is just a portal

I actually agree with this somewhat tho

And I've already explained that Eggman wouldn't have sent him to a place that was said to be an endless void where he wouldn't be able to escape from if it was very escapable with another portal being in there. That doesn't make any sense.

What tier would be the creation of Angel Island? Would it just be baseline 6-C? The gods that created it from the ruins of the Knuckles Clan civilization would scale to High 7-A+ individually, possibly lower...

Merry Christmas to you, and everyone else here!

Buy some cool toys while you're at it everyone!

You really didn't read at all did you? Or you are choosing to ignore it to not blame Sega IDK
That's about the note. It's confusing because Sega didn't allow them to explain it in the comic itself, not that Sega forced them to go beyond Frontiers right now.

Mfw people were debating Sonic stats on Christmas kek

Would I want it any other way? Probably not lol

On a powerscaling debate forum no less... ugh, the audacity!
I keep telling y'all about watching out for the detractors whose sole purpose in life (not even an exaggeration and its pretty pathetic too) is to hate and/or downplay the Sonic franchise both in and outside the powerscaling community.

Some thought I was being "harsh" when I've said this in the past yet once again it's proven I'm simply dropping cold facts with yet again more discourse with anything above FTL Sonic and hax =/= AP on fricking Christmas!

Like seriously who deadass downplays on Christmas, let alone specially targets the Sonic franchise and fans? Nuff said!

The Grinch of Powerscaling does

From a Speed Simulator map to being used in Speed Battle, then the setting for Blade of Courage, Metro City has had quite the evolution in terms of usage (I know some leaks for Frontiers 2 state the game takes place in a Japan-analogue city, so maybe it's coming from this).

What is this even referring to? Is that Archie or IDW?
It has nothing to do with either and is just making a “VSBW Sonic scalers wank him” joke.

I myself agree with most stuff on vsbw about Sonic except for 6D Super forms and 2-C base everyone.

There is no "2-C base everyone", some don't inherit the scaling, if you're referring to the side cast, it's extremely easy to understand why they would still scale to the others.

Metro City was in Speed Battle first, actually. Then speed simulator

I mean in the production timeline, not the release date. Speed Simulator already was developing that map before Speed Battle stuff, but they had to make some changes to their material to be consistent with Speed Battle and also follow the name Metro City.

I mean this because if it's used in a future project and the production origin is Speed Simulator, it means that someone at SEGA decided it could be nice to pick this material being developed for Speed Simulator and adapt it to become a tie-in place for Sonic 3 stuff and later incorporate its elements into other works like Blade of Courage. So what I said is mostly a curiosity about the development timeline.

Metro City looks nice in Speed Simulator.

I mean like anyone scaling to 2-C in base at all, it just looks like outlier central to me, + a bajillion anti feats in stuff like IDW.
