Marvel: Fantastic Four Speed Downgrade

Oh,

Then it just needs to be applied to the affected characters.
The thing is plenty of characters have "Comparable to F4 member" in their Speed. What has stopped this from being applied is that no one wants to go through the hassle of looking for them

My option is still to just downgrade the FF rather than upgrade Spider-Man.
That's already been agreed on, what's left is applying this

Does it need to be all in one go?
That's preferable imo, don't want to add even more disjunction to the Marvel profiles

Are any of you willing and able to help out with this please? 🙏

Yes, but somebody needs to properly apply this revision. 🙏

I agree with the downgrade.

To note, I also told Eseseso the same thing when he made the thread that upgraded their speeds, that this would be an outlier and that it would affect many more profiles than the ones he wanted to affect. But he disagreed. I knew someone would need to make the effort to clean that up in the future.

Edit: Being aware of past mistakes helps not to repeat them. Don't take it personal.

Don't think it was necessary to add that when the thread has already concluded but ok.

Is there a way to, like, get an automated list of all the Street tiers and low Heralds, since those would be the only guys scaled to the FF?

I think so, yes. You can create a temporary sandbox with a dynamic page list script. 🙏

Thank you, but can't only staff members use it?

We can make exceptions if the DPL scripts are used to help relevant wiki revision projects. 🙏

Probably an outlier but still.

I read a small fraction of FF comics so I will say that it's not an ourlier, just Flight Speed. Human Torch consistently has several crazy speed feats on with his flight. Not at this level, granted, but the justification has always been the following:
  • "[Johnny] explains that his flame only burns for a limited time, the brighter he burns and the faster he flies the sooner it extinguishes, so he dares not to blaze too brightly or fly too fast until he makes sure he won't need need his flames for a time. In short meaning that he has a peak speed that if he were to always use, he wouldn't last long with his flames on, but using a lesser speed consumes him far less stamina in that form. - Fantastic Four (1961) issue 9"
  • "Q: How far, how fast can [Johnny] fly?" "A: That depends. The faster he flies goes, the shorter his limit becomes. At normal speed (about fifty air miles per hour) he should be able to fly for a half-hour, a distance of twenty-five miles." - Fantastic Four Annual Vol 1 1 (Obviously, he's faster than this, but the general rule on how his higher speeds work is consistent.)
I had this written elsewhere. It's all but telling us he has a distinction between combat speed and flight speed, because he gets tagged in his combat speed, which is proven to be slower than his peak flight speed, so his peak flight speed must be something he doesn't fully react to.

Could the feat be an outlier anyway bc the writers didn't keep in mind the amount of time Johnny can keep his flames on? For sure, but I have no evidence of that. As far as I know, he learned use his flames for a longer amount of time.
That one's definitely an outlier. Also, even then Reed would be around as fast as the beam, to calc the actions needed to catch it is calc stacking.

Microsecond speed feats for Human Torch
Both appear to be poetic, especially the latter. And in the former, he is using his nova flames, which is something of an amp, being able to match an exploding star and all.

Do I just make a blog post on the site with the DPL script or is there somewhere special I need to do it?
You create a personal sandbox page, and remove the script after it has fulfilled its purposes. 🙏

Okay I generated a list for anyone linked to the FF, and after deleting the ones that aren't affect by any speed changes, here's what I got:

That should be most of them, I probably missed some though. (yes, I deleted the DPL)

You should check if other characters also get their scaling from those in that list. Tiger Shark gets his speed from Namor

Further evaluations and rational reasoning and suggestions here would be appreciated. 🙏
