Since Reaver has no enhanced senses or anything, what stops Player from throwing smoke bombs and hiding to snipe him outside of his FOV?
So if my memory from playing this game like, 5-6 years ago idk, serves me right, the handcuffs make any melee confrontation an instant loss for Reaves, as he’ll just get restrained and teleported into prison (I assume that’s where the BFR comes from nvm yeah that's where the BFR comes from). This point is moot however, because Reaves is a range spam type of dude and would quickly widen the distance.
Player would pursue him on vehicles that can regen basically any damage he deals to them. If one is disabled and is in the process of recovery, they can get out and spawn a different one.
The taser’s projectile is fast, but Reaves has the option to aim-dodge. Even if he does get hit, he still has much higher travel speed (assuming John Jailbreak’s speed stats are all baseline, they are about 17x slower than Reaves in running in speed equal). By the time the 3 second ragdoll thing wears off, Reaves should already be able to maintain enough distance to prevent himself from getting handcuffed.
He can be slowed down using spotlights if Player decides to chase him with a helicopter. Many of their aircraft have missiles and bombs that can two shot other Players. Outside of their vehicles, they can increase their speed with energy drinks and melee weapons + flips and rolls.
That said, Jailbreak guy can still shoot him with other firearms, and given the over 3 times stat advantage, it would be bad if Reaves gets tagged by the taser nonetheless.
Especially since he has no resistance. Player always takes no damage from being tased, despite there being recorded cases of tasers killing people. They can also endure being shocked with plasma weapons and electric fences without getting paralyzed, unlike with the taser.
Reaves’s aim is so good that Jailbreak dude is effectively incapable of dodging any of his gunshots. If John tries to block with a riot shield, Reaves can bypass it by ricocheting shots behind him or attacking from other angles, he also has AoE explosives and Hound’s ricocheting pellets for the same purpose. He can mitigate the stat gap by targeting John’s vitals, primarily the head. John’s regen is decent but slow, and once the damage exceeds what he can heal, that should settle things.
Apart from the forcefields which Arkan mentioned, some of the vehicles also reduce the amount of damage Player takes as long as they remain inside.
He's gonna have to do it pretty quick before he gets tazed.
The taser is essetially hitscan and he can just pull it out and shoot it, not even giving Reaver a chance to aim dodge.
The taser has low range, a single shot, long reload time, and low accuracy. There's a reason why many cops would rather just shoot criminals enough times to slow them down for an arrest than trying to land a taser shot. This isn't even mentioning the fact that Reaver is more agile than any Player.
Also, player has a
forcefield launcher that heals himself in which only electric attacks and a rocket launcher can bypass such as the
Plasma Pistol. Best case scenario if John does figure that out, John can just pop a forcefield and shoot plasma pistol stuffs.
Explosives in general can bypass them. Reaver has those, or he can deal enough damage to the forcefield to make it end early. Plasma weapons have low range like the taser. If Reaver just keeps his distance, Player will have to peek out of the forcefield to attack and become vulnerable.
This is an obvious game mechanic and you know it. The devs just didn't implement a damage multiplier for headshots unlike many other shooters (and they're actual characters in the lore by the way). I can use your logic to argue that Reaver guy can just kill the Player by shooting them in the hand enough times because weapons in Jailbreak always do the same amount of damage no matter where they hit. We know they're not just shrugging all of this off because they'll get slower the lower their health is.
They didn't solo shit lol. The first invasion canonically took an entire week for them to repel and needed every Player at the time to team up, both criminals and cops. The second one they literally lost and had to pull an Avengers Endgame to win.
