Hazbin Hotel Discussion Thread

Once again, I'm pretty sure at this point that speed is mostly equal across all players in the verse, with nobody actually being faster than another person or at least not by that much, as opposed to places like One Piece where Luffy at the beginning of the east blue arc would be completely speed blitzed by kizaru, hazbin just doesn't have that
1. Kinda fair, though shock.wav has a really good speed feat

2. I edited my comment, posted it before finishing

Yeah, haha... we have actual speed feats for Hazbin that fraud of a bird doesn't scale to.

OK, SO CRACKPOT THEORY
I just rewatched the scene where heavens shield gets busted, I don't think what we see is really heaven itself, I think that the rings and star thingy are actually a MASSIVE gateway/portal, one that the beam traveled through, out the other side of. Am I crazy? I feel like there's merit to this, and it could explain how heaven is a whole universe on its own but only looks like a large star, the beam itself looks so big that it should have destroyed the whole thing otherwise.

I think Pentious could probably get an upgrade in intelligence, inventing a machine that broadcasts something to a world which is likely lightyears away, and inventing it in less than a day, sounds more like Extraordinary Genius to me.

Last episodes were nice (they work better as one big special tbh, since the one right before the last one just feels as a build-up to actual finale), plot twists and final song were especially great, and I guess it’s a tradition to leave us at a cliffhanger.

Also, I guess it’s a tradition for the main villain to want to wipe out Alastor's smile off of his face in the last episode huh

when you give your soul to a random overlord because you're bored

OK wait, how was Alastor beating Vox if Vox is strongest? I guess it’s because they are still toe-to-toe but Alastor just fights better? Also I guess Alastor does not lose power if Rosie’s deal is done since his power comes from the staff.

From what I remember of the fight, Alastor was faster, but Vox's attacks damaged him way more

Just read this

I believe that the Vox vs Alastor fight ended up that way because of a skill issue problem from Vox, as Alastor has way more experience in battle.
Yeah that’s what I think too + they are still close.

Also would this mean Charlie has some kind of Power Bestowal if her saying that Vox is strongest actually made him one?

Vox power 100% comes from approval from people. Once Charlie said that he was the strongest, hell accepted him as the leader and more people devoted their soul to him

That's what I understand

Lowk, I think all of the Vees are kind of morons in terms of battle IQ. Their fight with Alastor felt so weird cause they didn't coordinate their attacks at all, and they are so blunt, just brute-forcing without any kind of strategy. They also fell in every single one of Husk's traps repeatedly.

I think it's more so that Charlie was what Vox needed to get support from all of hell, so maybe the stronger the person who approves Vox is, the stronger he gets, which would also explain why he wanted to get other Overlords' approval.

We got a Robo-Fizz going toe-to-toe with Cherry, this coupled with Blitz throwing that one Sinner out, does mean we should probably scale the I.M.P crew to the Hazbin cast.

Btw guys this is wrong, Vox isnt bad at fighting. He lost because he wasnt actually the strongest sinner, for that moment SPECIFICALLY he WAS indeed the strongest but thats because Alastor was still owned by him. He touches Charlie AFTER that.
