Battle of Pride (Vegeta vs Escanor) (Dragon Ball vs Nanatsu no Taizai)

They ain't ever coming bro đź’€

I highly disagree with this, because Vegeta isn't the type to do that but eh. It is true that the current distance creates a issue for him.
I mean I could try changing the distance to 10 km to see if that'll make any new arguments, but considering we're already at 6 votes, I don't see how much of a difference that'll make. (Best I could do is a rematch sometime next year with Escanor starting early morning since he's also 4-B. Maybe that'll give me the chance to start with a Base Vegeta instead)

Well prior knowledge could help, but as is, Vegeta might be able to sense or deduce the danger of the heat. If Escanor starts melting the ground or the heat is rising, it might clue him in. For action, Vegeta could push Escanor back and or even send him to space if he really wants to send him away.

Fleeing and fighting someone from range are 2 different things, so I don't know why you're mentioning that. Vegeta fights people from range when he knows he stands little to no chance against them in CQB very regularly throughout the series.
1) He has no prior knowledge about Escanor’s Heat as it doesn’t have effects on his surroundings when equiped with Rhitta.
2) Vegeta is the brawler type more than a ranged combattant.
3) According to his weakness section he wouldn’t insta go SSJ3 especially against someone weaker than him.

A tiny fraction of Sunshine’s power is stated to be able to erase everything in a 10 km radius

If SSJ1 is a 50x multiplier (inconsistant but meh) starting him in base would be weird

Umm...what? Are we trying to argue Vegeta doesn't have a sense of touch? If Escanor's heat is actually as oppressive as you guys are arguing it doesn't matter whether it's visible or not, he would feel the heat and have no choice but to fight from range because if he didn't he'd die. Unless what you're actually trying to argue is that the instant GG aura arguments are just not valid, then that completely changes the scope of the conversation. Because if his heat has no effects on the surroundings when equipped with Rhitta then his aura is not passive, meaning that argument is invalid. (Something I literally mentioned earlier)
2) Vegeta is the brawler type more than a ranged combatant.
This has nothing to do with the fact that he is very capable of fighting from range, and has done it multiple times. I'm more of an English speaker than I am Spanish, but that doesn't mean I can't speak Spanish.
3) According to his weakness section he wouldn’t insta go SSJ3 especially against someone weaker than him.
I mean yeah, it's definitely something he rarely does but Vegeta has used transformations just to flex before. This weakness is also less of an issue here because Escanor is relative to him.

Where? If that's the case, then his profile should reflect that sort of range.

The 50x multiplier is very consistent within dragon ball I have no clue how it's inconsistent, especially when it's been stated to be 50x through multiple guide books.

(Edit: As for the base thing, I mean starting Vegeta in base with a different Escanor key)

I'm sorry but isn't Vegeta IC cocky as hell and would try to bum rush Escanor and get vaped? His character is the main reason why he'd lose this fight.

Vegeta was arrogant, but not as arrogant was he was in Z. He still took the fights he was in seriously.

Said sense of touch would only get him charcoaled tho friendly reminder that Escanor in his weakest key ever (Young Morning) could passively insta charcoal someone that is way above a value 140x > Vegeta’s

Passive Aura that he can Amp in immense AOEs

So is Escanor

Fair

Yeah, that's why I changed my vote.
So is Escanor
Less talented/experienced than Vegeta at ranged fighting though but yes, it's not like he's incapable of fighting from range.

Actually, how does Escanor handle the soul damage aspect of Ki attacks in Dragon Ball? Escanor has unconventional Soul Manipulation (His soul was taken out of his body by Melascula), but it doesn't seem like he resists when his soul is taken out of his body or when it's tried to be devoured and not outright soul damage. Let me know if I'm wrong it's kinda hard to understand what he exactly resists.

Demons can remove and absorb souls destroying them in the process, as Escanor’s soul is sunshine itself Melascula absorbed his soul but it didn’t get destroyed and went back to his body.

Also, I can’t find ki’s soul manip

Also, I can’t find ki’s soul manip

Not Goku stealing her panties and 120 y.o Roshi nose bleeding to 16 y.o Bulma.
Not Meliodas having to grope a woman to tell if they're female and Escanor simping for Merlin who's true form is a child. (There's a reason they're called the seven deadly groomers)

Ok joke's aside, I genuinely want to know how Escanor would handle the soul damage of Ki attacks. (For some reason my phone won't let me reply to what KaramcaS posted, but everything regarding the soul manipulation of ki is there)

can someone summarize the win-con of each side? i dont have much time to read all 3 pages
Escanor: Heat that would vape vegeta.
Vegeta: His shenanigans (ki blasts and that sort of thing).
Based on what Makai said:
Passive heat aura:
Young Morning Escanor which is his weakest key ever showcased besides night instantaneously charcoaled someone multiple no sells gap above lightning heat which is already 140x above the listed resistance for Vegeta.

Aura flex:
Same key can flex his aura which propagates his heat omnidirectionally with hundreds of meters to a few km of range (That’s how he melted Edimburgh’s castle entirely)

Cruel Sun:
Higher heat than his passive output can be amped in terms of size and produce insane AOE’s he can also use them as Danmaku.

Enchantments:
Sunshine is a destroyer type magic which allow him to enhance his attacks tenfold. (Which imo doesn't help much since he's Near-Noon and close to his peak power and Vegeta would outclass that power boost easily with SSJ2-3)

Lifting strength Class P > Class T

As for Vegeta:
Better overall ranged attacks and mobility, better stat amps which would increase his speed, better AP with SSJ 2-3, and higher combat intelligence.

If I missed anything just add to this.

Adding to this before I go back to sleep. Depending on how Escanor's soil resistance works, Vegeta also would be able to directly damage his soul with his ki attack, giving him another possible win-con.

Basically in nnt resistances to soul manip/damage/destruction depends on the spirit stat.

Escanor has one of the highest spirit in all of the series

Sunshine also protect his soul
