It: Welcome to Derry Discussion Thread

So how should we interpret the cemetery feat? possession? necromancy? soul manipulation? What exactly was happening there?

ep 5 Are the things IT makes actually real so like reality warping or is everything just TP illusions and stuff?

it’s probably both??

in ep 1 lily teddy phil n susie got attacked by the flying baby demon thing in the theater when it went out of the screen n they actually died

except for lily ofc

Idk it makes it really unclear half the time if everything he does is just in their heads or if he is an actual reality warper

he does have realoty warping stuff! he did some weird things like remaking bill’s childhood basement n making a dog that could turn into a monster in the movies idk

it’s just that he also messes w ppl’s minds too so like some of the stuff u see could also just be illusions

like in the recent ep, leroy saw it/pennywise taking the form of charlotte but like pauly the guy next to him doesnt see her n in this other ep he made lily hallucinate her dead dad in those pickle jars

Pennywise should have Non-Physical Interaction, BFR, Extrasensory Perception, and Power Nullification (Sealing).

He was able to send Hallorann back home inside his mind, and interact with his Shining box, even going as far as opening it without a key, thus releasing the war ghosts he had stored.

In earlier episodes he also noticed Dick’s presence when he was watching him. We might also give him Soul Manipulation, since he was able to turn Hallorann’s ghosts against him.

Wait so I’m confused what exactly is this saying?

Ignoring the book because idk if this book has this or not.

However if Ep 8 shows this thing where IT is either omnipresent or is not bound by conventional time that would be a cool resistance if not speed buff. However Id like for this to be explained because the you'll burn line could give him precognition at best.

Either way I’m very curious what this interview means ep 8 actually can’t come soon enough

I'm (unfortunately) not sure if these two calculations are valid anymore. As Episode 4 recontextualized the feat because Pennywise arrived in that black meteor thing which didn't even tank the impact.

Season finale is out it sucks how they always manage to beat him despite all his power

Okay so ep 8 fully explains it.
I was worrying it was gonna be pretty vague.
Past, present and future all happen at the same time for him.
He heavily implies it's all just a singular point
And s1 is him trying to avoid an unavoidable fate by killing off the parents of those who killed him

pennywise should has omnipresent or not? IDK when he says that past, present, and future are all the same to him, is that omnipresent? And perhaps his death in IT Chapter 2 was just one event he had to experience he also said that his death was merely a reborn

Its omnipresence logic is similar to Solaris.

So throughout the entire series did he show anything that would be new additions on his profile ? Can someone make a list of everything

I'm pretty sure his feat of freezing the lake would give tier 7 results, as we have some characters with similar feats that have its calcs at tier 7
