-Eyepatch vs Terrarians-

Kaneki gets stronger and faster as he takes damage, so a drawn-out fight won't do the Terrarians any favors
Then yeah depends on if the Terrarian gets summons or not. Game wise they are fully a benefit with no downsides so if he does summon Ken should be gibbed pretty fast. But outside of that I guess Ken just regents and adapts

I think it is also important to consider if they can pin him down with weapon knock back using stuff like spiky balls, bury him with their sand guns, or use bombs to dig a crater and give them time to rain pain on him. Terrarians usually win fights by reducing enemies to gore so they probably aren't going to bother leaving a body to heal

Terrarian Wincons:

-Number superiority and AP advantage
-Electricity manipulation
-Flight
-Ice manipulation (freezing arrows)
-Damage reflection and Dura neg with a lightning staff

Kaneki Wincons:

-Skills
-AD
-LS
-More flexible attacks
-Accelerated perception
What's stopping the Terrarian from flying and outranging Ken?

Their flight is limited in this key, but if they have the rod of dirt they can make platforms on the sky.

Still wish I knew why equipment the Terrarian had. Especially since 1.4 added the ability to magically change what your wearing allowing for much better combo game. Because if the Terrarian has summons I easily will vote for them since they can spawn on Ken and quickly gib him since he can’t interact with them.

Why is all this not in the profiles?

Because terraria has been dead on the site for years and any upgrade attempt no matter how obvious is just met with a downgrade. The verse has literally nothing from 1.44 and that happened years ago, so stuck in the mud. If you want video of the Magic equipment change I can make a quick YouTube video right now to show it is indeed a full on thing.

If you are referring to the summons. I have heard mixed things on if summons have their powers listed or not. Fallout has it that miss fortune’s paralysis isn’t listed because it’s a summon, but other series do list what summons cause so terraria is in the fallout book currently.

Okay, I guess we could use summons, but then it would be fair to give Kaneki Scolopendra, which gives Kaneki blitz and a one-shot amp.
Or we could keep this key, but then the Terrarians have access to the entire inventory of this key, but without the summons.

This fight just seems kinda all over the place balance wise. Either Ken blitzs or an attack spawns on his face and he dies. Guess you could use the flinx staff only because it scales to the eye of Cthulhu rather than evil bosses so it’s baseline 8-A rather than having any upscaling.

Terrarians have a range advantage as well as a numbers advantage allowing them to have one of them retreat and recover from damage with potions or whatever while the other keeps up the offensive. Also is the 8-A key thing for Kaneki just trying to say we are using the first key or are you also restricting how high he can go with RE and AD because I mean technically since the high end of each tier uses the same value as the baseline for the next tier so he could still get to 100 tons same as the Terrarian and still gets to eventually blitz.

That said I am only really familiar with the Terrarians so does he start with the Kagune and how well would he handle keeping track of both terrarians if they split up does the skill thing and Analytical Prediction cover that (Also I can't find any mention of martial arts other than him losing it in the dragon key, mentioning he learned them in his intelligence section, and having the martial artist category)

Kinda curious if Ken really is more cartoonishly skilled, the Terrarian can fight armies with everyone in them being stronger than them (as the entire point is to get stronger equipment). And terraria has really changed up a ton of weapons from just swinging up and down to having slash effects showing you are stabbing them multiple times during the first slash and swinging maces. Along with people able to hit people around walls with bullets that bounce. It’s obviously not animated in the most flashy way but the Terrarian isn’t unskilled especially since the beastiary states many enemies you fight are very skilled (such as the pirates saying the gun mean are deadeyed with their shots and all the crew are skilled and easily raid where ever they go)

I’m unfortunately not the best with explaining skill unless it’s like blatantly obvious stuff.

Kaneki manages this with AD and skills. He will quickly disarm them with LS.
The absurd number of shurikens, throwing knives, grenades, snowballs, javelins, molotov cocktails, spiky balls, and/or frost daggerfish kept in dimensional storage.

Kaneki simply gets stronger at this level. At some point, it ceases to have a quantitative value.

For example, like a battle between two 9-B characters, where both are at the top end, but the first scales like a one-shot character with this stat and is much stronger, while the second scales directly.

He'll simply get stronger until he's strong enough to tank hits.

Yes, he has experience fighting against a group of opponents and a fight against two experienced fighters will not be a problem

Will make Kaneki stronger...
I mean only if he survives again most of the time they reduce most enemies to scattered pieces of gore with these things and the standard methodology most terrarian players use is attack at a distance while dodging with ranged, magic, summoner, and melee weapons or go in close with a true melee weapon keeping near the distance the weapon lets them and run if you get hurt bad enough to heal before charging back. Some of these weapons might technically only be 8-B but they scale to 90 tons of tnt and are boosted by armor and potion damage buffs so they should still work.

okay

I mean those two were like right next to each other. I am talking about like both usually at least 20 meters away from each other launching attacks at him from what are effectively opposite sides of the area.

Especially since in this group there will be two intangible creatures attacking him that the Terrarian can resummon directly on top of him. The Terrarian in this key scales to something that face tanks the 90 tons (meteor) while Ken starts at 72. The summons can actually gib him very fast.

Kaneki scales far beyond his value

To be fair summoning them repeatedly is somewhat limited by the fact they need mana to do it and the process requires them to not use any other weapon in that moment.

Jesus, is this match even possible to balance? I thought it would be some kind of composite where they could use their key's best weapon, but I had no idea about intangible summons. On the other hand, if you give Kaneki access to kakuja, he'll stomp.

Summoning takes so little mana usually your regeneration out paces the loss, but for fast opponents that is specifically the point of summons.
So yeah I think this match is all over the place in terms of who can do what. (Though it does have me really want to go through with my upgrade for this section of the game so wise, I need to find someone good with meteor calcs and water vaporization)

Also the Terrarians don't need to have the item used to summon the minion on them to keep the minion around they could have put it in a chest for more inventory space. I mean a similar issue happens with the lightning aura sentry but at least the sentry is unable to chase Kaneki on its own so if he keeps moving they might have a hard time keeping it on top of him.

the discussion thread might be a good place to start.
