Which keys are they in again? Because the OP says Academy Entrance Boruto but it also lists HCR which he only gets in a much later arc

Anyways, Boruto is a genius combatant and strategist. He can trick people like Ao into second guessing and even then, prying on such second thought, He quickly circumvented the mechanics of Shojoji ability and instantly thought of a plan to work around it. He normally starts out with 3-4 shadow clones, using them to monitor his opponents fighting style.
All Boruto needs to do here is land a rasengan, which really shouldn’t be that much issue considering he has 1-layer of invisibility for his vanishing Rasengan. Kaneki LS Isn’t an issue here since most people boruto fight (Shojoji, Ao, and deepa) can easily restrain him, and he still finds away around them by using shadow clones and possibly substitution jutsu.
Is Kaneki in this key the one with High-Mid regen?

Kaneki's main thing is his AD and RE. The more damage Kaneki takes in a fight, the stronger he gets, during the end of part 2, we see Kaneki get his ass beat by Furuta and then one tap and blitz him a panel later. We also see this with the Dragon Tentacles, who basically turn Kaneki into mush, and then immediality after, he blitzes and one shots 3 at the same time. More damage = more strength.
He also has very good LS with his Kagune, and he spams the absolute **** outta it as well. From below, blindspots - all at the same time, while attacking you himself. He also has High - Mid regen, it pairs very well with his RE and AD hax.
RE + AD + Regen + Skill + LS is his main thing.

Boruto skill blows him out of the water honestly , it'll be hard for kaneki to land a decisive hit, boruto can also escape being crushed by LS by something like substitution.
He has speed amps like boruto stream and shunshin (well he's not that good with this one). I see boruto landing something like a vanishing rasengan which probably is decisive enough to win

Kaneki is more skilled in combat than Boruto and actively spams his kagune. His AD does its job. Sooner or later, he will catch him with his flexible kagune and kill.
BS is quite predictable, and Kaneki will be able to dodge rasengan via his skills and increased reaction speed.

I doubt Boruto is less skilled than Kaneki. Boruto even in his earlier key was already praised in having chunin level of skills, with him even surprising people like Kakashi on how quickly he progresses.
Calling boruto quite predictable is absurd, considering that this dude is NEVER predictable. With shunshin or gale palm, Boruto can blitz him with a clone, if Kaneki somehow finds a way to maneuver through that (which i doubt), the real Boruto stays back to cough up a plan, like using stealth mastery to catch Kaneki offguard, then land a rasengan, or better still just throw in a vanishing rasengan which Kaneki has no way to detect.

I'm talking about the vanishing rasengan being undodgeable. Karo brings it up, that's why I say that. His regular rasengans being dodgeable is what I was referring to.

For VR it's not really a problem. It's certainly not killing Kaneki and after he realizes how it works dodging it won't be an issue due to analytical prediction. I'd even say it might be detrimental to Boruto as doing damage that won't kill him will just boost up Kanekis stats after he heals.
Clones are decent but Kanekis extra limbs (kagune) and the fragile nature of clones makes them not too hard to deal with.

Chakra blade is (or well should be) optional equipment but it also massively drain his stamina so it's pretty useless here tbh
