Indie Games General Discussion Thread

Since it can be hard to discuss obscure indie games that aren't currently on the wiki or don't have verse page and likely too small to make a discussion thread for, I thought it would be good to have general discussion thread for this

Here's some cool indie games I like that would be neat to see on the wiki
  • Mdickie Games (Hard Time series, Wrestling Empire, etc. I know at least those are connected but honestly all the games might take place in one universe)
  • Anton Games Series (Antonball Deluxe, Antonblast)
  • Fight Knight
  • Ultimate Chicken Horse (and eventually Ultimate Sheep Raccoon when that game comes out)
  • Caves of Qud
  • Your Only Move Is Hustle (Ninja has a profile here but it's not great, they're playable in A Few Quick Matches as well)
  • ATLYSS (Are early access games allowed on here?)
  • WEBFISHING (Would just be funny to see how strong fishing up a giant whale is lol)
  • Shogun Showdown
  • Primordialis (Check out the demo, this game is awesome)
  • Bopl Battle
  • Shadow of Doubt (Awesome detective game, wish my potato computer was able to run it at more than 2fps lol)
  • Friends VS Friends
I plan on doing stuff for yomih soon-ish

Honestly I'm surprised nothing from mdickie has been talked about before considering how popular his stuff is

 
I have most of the math for yomih done except the tedious ones before putting in a calc blog, the current Street tiering is wildly inaccurate for what happens in the game

There are two shockwave moves in the game (Mutant and Robot)
Not gonna include Mutant's as it doesn't seem likely to be a sound wave plus would inflate the speed values, but Robot's shockwaves seem valid as a high-end
 
people are able to edit sandboxes right? Wanted to make one for yomih profiles so have every character (I believe 5 profiles would be enough for a verse page too)

Alright, I'll prob ask some help for figuring out the categorization of powers for the cast

Should I post calcs for it in one big blog or space them out (Either gonna do Speed, AP, and LS in one blog or start with a Speed blog with the AP and LS after)

Yeah, they also worked on Loop Hero, which is a steam release (But this one got Tier 1-2 bullshit that I hate)

They also updated Please Don't Touch Anything this year, which implies some great release

One of my favorites is also Roulette Knight which is basically about playing russian roulette until you reach the castle

It would cover basically every feat in the game lol
The only reason I thought about putting it on in one spot is I've heard before that's generally better practice for very small / obscure verses

My brain is too smooth for anything Tier 1-2 related, Roulette Knight sounds pretty cool tho

I think you can get 9-A or 8-C

I was interested in indexing it but I'm busy finishing solo indexing a few verses
 
I just remembered about it but rivals of aether on here is weird
Everyone scales to Large Mountain level from Absa creating a storm, but I don't see anything that clarifies why that would scale to physicals
 
I plan on doing calcs for bopl battle using the black hole move it got and I was wondering how you are meant to find durability from resisting the pull of a blackhole
the only example I could find of how you're meant to do it is that controversial jjk one which doesn't explain the process
 
Got Dead Estate recently so gonna add that to list of verses to potentially index

I feel like Primordialis will be fun to do, haven't done stuff for small scale verses before

the profile feels weird since there hasn't any calcs been done yet plus the planet level scaling seems a little iffy and vague tbh

Your Only Move Is Hustle: Speed Of The Cast

Currently I have both an end just using .357 magnum muzzle velocity and then a higher end that compares the bullets to Robot's shockwaves that he creates by falling from high enough
I had already ruled out Mutant's Shockwave move since it's super slow in-game, doesn't really act like a sound wave, and just inflates the speed ridiculously (using Mutant's shockwaves makes the bullets Hypersonic+)
Robot's shockwaves gives a much more reasonable result of the bullets of being ~4x faster (Mach 1.356 vs Mach 3.9167)

do yall think the shockwave end is viable or should I just use bullet speed?

the broken world is being kept intertwined by the last of whatever power she can muster in an attempt to salvage it's previous form

Small planet is fair, however I put at least simply because she would at least have to be that powerful the even have power than can not only attempt to hold the world together but give people the same power to beat the Colossus. What rating would you suggest?
