i dont think a media handler would have a promo code for their site on his bio, an affiliate definitely will tho. not to mention how odd it is for him not to mention that he's their media guy on his social media page.

also the litres site does infact have a section specifically for author interviews

the last one is from 2020 tho.

im just trying to get facts right, especially these days where social media misinformation & disinformation are so common & are quite easy to spread.

Yea there is a interview panel in their website but if you look all the interviewed individuals have their identity on public. Maybe chognung doesn't want to reveal himself in public thus they didn't put him on that list.

maybe, or maybe they had nothing to do with this and just used that post by one of their affiliates to boost their book sales.
i dont think this should be used without korean sources backing it up eitherway, we'd essentially be taking the word of an unrelated third party as true.

Might as well keep it on the radar since we can't really discard it right away without proving it completely wrong. Either way slr novel should have a seperate profile than sl since there are way too contradictions regarding their continuity.

dude we dont have to prove it wrong, if they have no actual official SL sources backing their stuff up then the burden of proof is on them, they're the ones making the claims about this interview. we'd be taking the word of ppl who have no direct connection to the author with essentially no evidence from anyone who is involved with the ip. who's to say they're telling the truth? why should we take their word for it when none of the official sources confirmed this?

Also KakaoPage mentioned on their site that it's a direct continuation of Solo Leveling, so moot.

SL is published by them, so yeah.
 
After spending the later part of my day trying to find anything to prove its the actual author and I can say i have found nothing. And the more I keep trying to research more it seems like it just isnt the case

Yeah, besides there is zero neutral source besides that telegram link nor the Original Korean texts from Chugong.

What makes it more dubious is the fact that zero Korean outlets news is making wave about it as SL popularity is beyond huge in Korea.

You would think the author of SL making that statement will be all over the news in Korea, but no lol.

Yeah, zero Original link from the Korean texts of Chugong, they are just "claiming" it happened without any external source or evidence lol
 
another suspicious thing about it, is that chugong has never ever to my knowledge done an Interview / QnA outside of south korea, so if verified, this russian interview would mark the first time it ever happened, which is odd considering if the author wanted to do a foreign interview you'd think he'd go to an english outlet, since that's where the most reach would be.

What is even more odd than that is the fact no Korean outlet news brought that news, SL is extremely huge in Korea, it's basically the face of the industry over there, bringing millions thanks to his IP

You would think the author of SL saying "I will write the true sequel myself" will be everywhere but no.

And I can't find the Original Korean texts of Chugong in that so called "interview" which pretend to be translated

It would be canon unless someone can prove chugong actually said that.

Even if he did, it would kinda help since it would make everything canon to the verse and just alternate timelines. Which would upgrade the cosmology by a bit.

Now that I think about it, it would indeed upgrade further the verse lol, as in both OG and Ragnarok, Jinwoo power is said numerous time to be capable of returning everything created into nothingness.

What was phoenk’s opposing view about yesterday? He claimed that it was noncanon yesterday, I assume you cleared everything up and addressed his issues of the canonicity?

He simply always viewed Ragnarok as it's own thing basically, he wanted a separate profile for Ragnarok characters and OG Sl characters, although that is a based on a dubious so called "interview" that nobody heard about

Nah we were discussing in historians server I said chugong said he wanted absolute being to be a truly omnipotent god so tier 0 (I was trolling)
He said its not real simply because of this litres nonsense(from what I understand)and hes probably just tryna get stuff ready to make a thread. I wish him the best of luck because I tried like 4 hours yesterday to find stuff and it genuinely only got worst for proof.
Like nothing that hints at it being chugong. 2/ 3 of the interview people are the same person . The account that posted it isnt even a offical account on litres(like blue check mark on twitter) among many more issues

So phoenks is essentially having a fighting battle against this. i thought his stance was neutral on how sjw was caled but wants a seperate profile as per said above by dooyo. Also, whats your discord? Wuji from this solo leveling scaling server told me alot about you particularly. A expert in the scaling of solo leveling.

By the way dooyo, if the interview becomes true, why is phoenks intending on trying to use it if what you said is true and that it will just help sjw’s scaling case instead? It won’t harm his profile according to what you said

Nonetheless, it's funny to be skeptical over a mere telegram screenshot, pretending to be from Chugong and also funnier when it said he will write a "true sequel" when the actual Chugong was done from writing and even called another author to write the sequel for him, the one that actually exists and not fake news like a "true sequel" coming eventually
