Ikr doesn't this guy know it's been 8 thousand since 2022?7 "thousand"??
Not to debate on theology but you do realise what the cause for said violent crimes is right? At least, by the construct of the seven deadly sins. Like the idea isn't "Oh oh, you felt anger, to hell with you." Its "Too much anger will literally kill someone". Loving to eat, which is really slight gluttony, is obviously not compareable to hogging the local food sources for the decadend pursuit of eating pleasure. And while gluttony nowadays dosn't make much sense as a deadly sin as it did back then, as the difference between a glutton who can hog the precious little food sources of a medieval village and your average obese american is night and day, but sloth especially is such a deceptivly bad characteristic to have.7 deadly sins shouldn't be used in evilness scaling at all. Call me a devil's advocate, all you want, but for me outclassing someone in some of those sins means absolutely nothing (especially if it something light, like gluttony or sloth). Having flaws or some unpleasant/annoying qualities ≠ being evil, willingly harming others and committing horrible crimes - is.
Alr, basically that's basically what I mean. For me it basically didn't made any sense, because feelings themselves aren't always lead to some harmful actions (procrastination, self-control and remorse are the thing) and it kinda annoyed me that basic human emotions are villanized for some reason. Now I see why those things are considered sinful - because of their extreme manifestations, you explained it pretty wellSo sure, if you believe that the sheer feeling of sinfulness isnt bad, like being really ******* angry but not acting on it is harmless then yeah, you could do this distinction.
I would have called it "7 deadly frames", if I was talking about itNGL I thought he was talking about the anime and tuned out after the first few words
I always found his content kinda cringe tbh. His edits about irl stuff especially feel either extremely tasteless or like a 14 year olds best attempt at being profound3. I feel like Capeditz became a media elitist in some form, or at least Cap's audience
I was gonna press you about being a Helluva Boss fan but this may be even worse ngl8. Pineapple pizza is mid, I don't really hate it and I don't like it either. So I'm just really neutral about it and just prefer something else
"Fan". I dropped that show before sinsmas because I got severely exhausted from it, idk if being somewhat neutral about something makes me a "fan" of that thingI was gonna press you about being a Helluva Boss fan but this may be even worse ngl
My bad then."Fan". I dropped that show before sinsmas because I got severely exhausted from it, idk if being somewhat neutral about something makes me a "fan" of that thing

Anytime he is mentioned I get flashlighted, bruh. Anyways, it reminds I should read Blood MeridianI feel like Capeditz became a media elitist in some form, or at least Cap's audience
I won't call it unpopular opinion. Most moral frameworks still put a lot of weight in consequences of your actions (even deontological ones)Harmfulness of the action is more evil than selfishness of the action (evilness scaling once again).
Even though it's subjective - I've seen a lot of people who hates someone mostly because of being selfish and not because of how much harm they caused. So i thought it's pretty common occurrence when someone hates selfishness of the act rather than act itself or the harm it have causedI won't call it unpopular opinion. Indomitable human spirit is used as a way to say adrenaline most of time thoI absolutely despise "indomitable human spirit", when someone thinks like this unironically. That's straight up No limits fallacy, but for real life, for real people. Do I need to say that a lot of humans have things like: procrastination, laziness, depression, suicidal thoughts, addictions and etc? Basically things that literally shatters any will to live, things that very few actually overcomes and not succumbs to them. No one's willpower is unbreakable, if some mental illness just appears out of nowhere and decides to twist anyone's brain - they are screwed. The ability to resist those things are actually linked to it's severity and effects (don't forget that "aboulia" is a thing, and it literally disables the willpower entirely), and not always the sheer willpower. You can't resist and overcome dementia - you will lose memory anyways, you can't fully resist schizophrenia - you'll have to take your meds and hope that it won't get worse, in some cases even depression could become irresistible and person would commit suicide just because of it, and not because he lacks willpower and didn't try to do something about it.
I think we should know that we are humans, we have flaws, we should acknowledge them and don't blame each other for them (when it's possible). "Indomitable human spirit" belief is really harmful in my opinion and just undermines the empathy and acceptance of each other. It just makes us blind to our problems, could lead to victim blaming, could lead to complete ignorance about mental health and struggles of each other and etc. It's completely unrealistic, harmful and denies our nature, as the living beings
That makes more sense ngl, I thought it was mostly about willpowerIndomitable human spirit is used as a way to say adrenaline most of time tho
