Devil Hunter hunts Dinosaurs (Aki Hayakawa vs I-Rex)

I will state my thoughts as follows:

As for I-Rex, she has the advantage of terrain and a.p, she also has claws and a tail that help in combat. I think she will be able to try to scratch and try to bite Denji. (If anyone has a better argument, please express it.)

As for Denji, he has innate agility, a strong will, shown through the times he tried to run away from Zombies when he was stabbed through the chest, being squeezed so hard that he vomited blood, trying to fight Leeches when he didn't even have enough health to transform (His saw blade can cut him, so that's also a feat of endurance). If I-Rex wanted to take down Denji, she would have to completely destroy Denji's body first, but from what I see, she prefers to play with her prey (or not?)

Going with Denji here

It can grab him which he won't be able to break out due to inferior LS and just bite down.

No acrobatics in the first key. Is he as agile as a Raptor or less? Either case means Indo can land a hit or grab.

Won't save him from decapitation, getting ripped in half, or just being chewed to death.

Oh no, it's the opposite in fact. The Indo was unusually vicious and bloodlusted. That's why it was killing everyone and everything it saw.

it looks like this, in an anemic state, he can still move like this even with an arm missing and the saw itself cutting him

that is if I-Rex really caught him, he was agile enough to dodge I-Rex's attacks
Agility won't mean much if the speed is equalized and if he just gets jumped by the Indominus thanks to her camouflage since the fight takes place in the Amazon rainforest.

Also if I'm reading the profiles right, there's a 7.5× AP gap between Denji and the Indominus, meaning he isn't doing more than papercuts to her at best with his strongest attacks in this key while if the Indominus so much as hits him once anywhere he'll be crippled immediately.

Maybe I should keep the Chainsaw Man form for Denji and note it to only be used in life-threatening situations?

I don't think so, "life-threatening" means he only uses it when he's close to being defeated. I-Rex still has a chance
Denji isn't an idiot, if he can end a fight to the death as soon as he can then he's gonna pop his 8-C form basically off-rip, especially against a monster like the Indominus when he notices his normal form isn't doing shit to it.

I really doubt Denji wouldn't immediately pull the cord on a 6.7 meter tall monstrosity. He'll probably look at the Indo and assume it's the Dinosaur Devil or something, you know, because dinosaurs should be extinct?

this would immediately turn the fight in his favor since he has a 5.4347826087x AP Advantage when he transforms

that's if I let Denji fight normally, but here I "note" that, only in the moment of "life-threatening danger" is he allowed to transform into Chainsaw Man

I don't think you're allowed to do that but even if it was, Denji would certainly think trying to fight something that literally shrugs off his attacks like mosquito bites is a life-threatening danger so he would just transform anyways. It really feels like you're desperate to make this fair when this fight just doesn't work at all no matter how you look at it.

Huh? Why can't I do that? From the beginning I said I would set Denji's mind like that so it would be like that, why didn't it follow that?
Because that's like really weirdly specific yet vague, its not the same as making someone in-character or bloodlusted. Even still, ignoring that issue entirely, going by your own OP setting for Denji, he's not an idiot and will obviously think that just fighting the Indominus in general is a Life-Threatening Situation as you put it since he's basically only doing papercuts to the damn thing so he's going to transform regardless.

If he's in an anemic state, the saw blade won't be complete, and Denji's state will be almost the same as when he fought the Leech. But if the a.p. is that different, I can switch to the "Post-Training" Key, and Indominus Rex will still retain the advantage in Lifting Strength and camouflage. Only this time, Denji was really well trained.

How about DON'T MAKE MATCHES WITH WEIRD CONDITIONS.

Might as well make it Denji with one arm behind his back, one of his eyes shot out, and getting his **** sucked by Makima, because that's Basically what you're trying to do here.

are you insulting my fav char? and i was trying to make a point like "denji only uses the chainsaw when he's in a near death situation" why isn't that possible? yes it goes against in-character but it's still more fair right?

You can either have a Character be In-Character, or bloodlusted. There's no fancy stuff like you're doing here

Refer to my previous joke. If all of that makes it fair, why not?

You're talking to a guy who recently got a match between two haxlords meaningfully debated and added to profiles, I know what can and can't be done in a match.
bro i didnt even watch that match what do i know about what you did?
