Star Wars Discussion Thread Canon/Legends- Episode VI Return of the Threadi

With that in mind, I think the easiest way is to downscale from Kanan being able to minimally compete with Vader. And I think we've brought Season 1 Kanan into line with other Jedi. At least the profiles always say "should be comparable to Season 1 Kanan."

Luke > Young Obi-Wan > Ben Kenobi = Vader ≥ Ahsoka ≥ Kanan > Ezra / Cal / [Insert Jedi i don't know] > Din "Mando" Djarin > All "The Mandalorian" characters

Something like it?
Dunno anything about Kanan, Ezra or Cal, just that they more or less are there

It depends on which Obiwan, which Vader, which Ashoka, and which Kanan you're talking about.

These guys and others get stronger and more skilled over time.

Unless you're talking about their versions of Rebels.

“All those who realized that Vader’s suit was necessary to keep him alive sometimes made the mistake of thinking that this fact weakened him. While it was true that the terrible wounds caused by Kenobi on Mustafar meant Vader could no longer live without the aid of the respirator, his power in the Dark Side of the Force surpassed any physical limitation. Even if an ion grenade or some other device temporarily deactivated Vader’s cybernetic armor, his ferocity of spirit was compensated by the Force. The diabolical scientist Cylo learned this the hard way, for he believed he had defeated Vader by deactivating the suit’s total-shutdown switch at the moment of its original manufacture… when that was by no means enough to stop him; Vader killed him immediately for his treachery.”

I forgot the source, but I think Vader grows stronger after ANH. I remember certain scenes in the comics where, after ANH, Palpatine makes Vader stronger or something similar. Lost Stars. The same thing post-ESB, and I think there was a statement about him being referred to as being at his peak during ROTJ. I will need to find the sources, but I think Vader does get stronger during the OT.

Just look at the new justification on Vader's profile.

wait was Canon Star wars originally High 7-C on this site?, was checking Anakin's profile and saw that in his Darth Vader matchup, Darth Vader was specified to be High 7-C

God-tiers were High 7-C. Some still are, like Luke.

But that's sequel trilogy Luke so I'd rather pump myself full of toxic runoff(Now when are you making Magnaguards 8-A and have a good profile?)

2nd time I heard you use that phrase.
also what was the reason they became 8-A instead
(Now when are you making Magnaguards 8-A and have a good profile?)
Unlike Grievous, idk what shit they appear in besides Clone wars, RotS and 2003 Clone wars (but that's legends) ok that might be enough content to add to a rework, but in their profiles it said they overwhelmed "Pre ESB Luke" do they appear in a comic?

Dunno, I wasn't around for it or was focused on other things

Check their wookiepedia page for Canon/Legends, they're pretty good at listing all appearances for things

If you want I can search/research and send you things for the profiles

After the current Legends CRTs are done (the Tier 0 Force one and the Star Forge one, if it is ever looked at again), I will maybe make a series of CRTs to update the legends profiles (formatting, Legends-specific Force ability page, upholding some contested scaling, etc.). Mostly depends entirely on whether the verse is even active enough, though. Taking a couple of months to pass one CRT is diabolical.

OWK Obi-Wan and OWK Vader are essentially equal in both power and skill.
Vader's defeat was due to Obi-Wan's amplification of Luke and Leia's thoughts.

And Vader is superior to old Obi-Wan. Ben himself considered the fight hopeless.
Unless i'm mistaken, Ahsoka is after ANH? Even if not, Vader is still above them and i dont think it'd alter the list below
where Grievous.

Good question. I'd put him here, on the "updated" chain, unless i'm tripping and dunno:
(Outdated, will be remaking this)

Luke > OWK Obi-Wan ≥ Vader ≥ Ahsoka ≥ Kanan ≥ Ben Kenobi ≥ Yoda > Kit Fisto / Plo Koon / Windu > Grievous ≥ Ezra / Cal / Ki Adi Mundi / [Insert Jedi i don't know] > Din "Mando" Djarin > All "The Mandalorian" characters

Is Republic Commandos in Disney Cannon? I ask because Scorch is in one of the Bad Batch episodes but like.... He doesn't act anything like himself and gets killed by some of the same shit his squad is known for easily slaughtering by themselves when not in a squad.

Shouldn't there be a 2x multiplier on the scaling chain for both Canon and Legends? In Episode III Anakin mentions that he has doubled his strength since the last time he fought Dooku and is consistent enough to overpower him.

Yes.... But its also weird because of TCW since Anakin and Dooku fight a shit ton of times in that show as opposed to how it was originally in Legends where that wasn't the case before the show was made. Not to mention the calc everyone currently scales to comes from a show that takes place way after Revenge of the Sith so it would be hard to tell where to slap this multiplier in the chain.

That doesn't mean the multiplier doesn't exist and it's known that it would apply at least to Anakin during Episode III. The problem would be the scaling chain, however it should be something retroactive, since if we assume that Vader (at least post-Rebels) is superior or comparable to Anakin then the multiplier applies, and if not then Anakin is still superior to Vader and his value would increase from 8-A

I've also seen that there is a L7C calculation in Clone Wars so if it is approved or used it would be much easier for the scaling chain.

I never said it didn't exist, I said its hard to apply because Star Wars' scaling chain currently is a ******* mess.

i'm working on it atm, but i can already tell y'all that i'm not applying any multipliers, just fights that happened and interpretations of them

REALLY think our scaling chain should be based only on that unless it's really needed

I remember somewhere saying that Dokko was at his prime/peak in episode 3.

But I'm just collecting Vader stuff during that time, so I didn't save it.
There's a statement of Dooku calling upon basically the entirety of the Dark Side or something during his duel with Anakin before he gets his ass kicked. It's part of the reason I keep saying that the gap between Peak Dooku and Pre-Order 66 Palpatine is not that big.

Man, I hate this shit. This context bullshit. Sometimes to get the full context of a fight you have to dig really hard.

That's why I'm only collecting Darth Vader stuff every now and then. Since he's the character I enjoy working with the most, and this kind of elevates RoJ Luke/Palpatine, who are the other two I like, I think I'll focus on that.

So, I talked to you about a possible Vader upgrade to Low 7-C. It would be easier to continue with Kanan's downscaling at the end of Rebels' first season and then scale to any Jedi, right?

But Fiole says the following:

I think strong downscaling wouldn't be possible? Since it would be considered PIS?
Like Kanan said when asked what could kill Vader: "Not us!"

So, I'm planning to organize the SW calculations, and...

You realize how much this is shit when not even the MHS+ calculation for blocking lightning force is on the verse page.
