Chainsaw Man discussion thread

Everything seems fine and solved until Death takes out a large bundle of dynamite from her pocket and says "ain't i a stinker?"
 
Just watched the movie, so I'll just add a spoiler tag here
Typhoon got so freaking big it literally dwarfs the skyscraper shown in the trailer. You could calc the spinning speed of the devil and get a stupid amount of KE, which of course fits what it freaking did in the movie (like seriously, this is what I expected the typhoon devil to be). Reze's explosion snap and sparks might have some hypersonic scaling, it works like lightning and statued Denji multiple times, Reze herself also moves at a flashing speed multiple times (which might get to supersonic+), blitzing Denji (achieved with her explosion). Reze got a lot of crazy feats outside of that one explosion too.

Absolute cinema, anime of the decade, kinomatic, would watch again, Reze is so beautiful, the osts are so beautiful and hype (with a suprise comeback, they sure love that one song), cinematography is at it's absolute peak, would watch again 100%.
 
hm... rough calc from my memory got town level Typhoon... Well, that's only the total kinetic energy from it's entire body spinning at stupid speed, so it won't scale to the actual durability obviously.

Hm... Supersonic+ spinning speed with around 600 Kilotons of TNT, well sounds about right (it might be 2.5 megatons of TNT, which... oddly supports the small city calc). Dura would be around building level-large building level probably (edit: yep, my estimation is about right)

Ah yes, also also, Angel Devil's weapon at THAT SCENE in the movie appears to be kind of a light attack, or at least it appears instantly with a flash of light around it. This might result into something cool, who knows?

Reze got the scaling she deserves, Denji ain't scaling to all of Reze's moves, he only tanked the smaller ones, or dodged/blocked and parried them. Beam gets higher scaling probably, who knows? Typhoon gets insane AP and LS (more than anyone ever shown in the series, except maybe Pochita's feat, that I'm not sure) with kinda ass durability (expected to be around building level to maybe large building level against punches and the like), supersonic+ and hypersonic feats are secured I hope, Violence got better LS feat out of the pothole, that's about all I remember
 
I have a question, Reze can apparently resist explosions she causes herself, so shouldn't she have heat resistance?

So, seems like Asa was chasing after her mom all along. Part of me is scared Fujimoto's incest fetish will take over and Denji and Asa will be brothers like Leia and Luke.

Meanwhile powerscaling-wise seems like Pochita's regen just beat it's fraud allegations.
He was able to regen from getting his chest erased so no heart weakness, his immortality is also coming in clutch, so it's seemingly not as stamina limited as Aging Devil/Gun Goddess made it seem.
Yoru also has the same regen contract as Makima, but using california. Her dimensional travel is also pretty good, seeing how she can summon and weaponize other devils from hell to her liking as well.

Yoru's fraudulent contract seems far worse than Makima's, it comes with the limitation that healing takes multiple lives. iirc Makima doesn't seem to be limited by that from what I saw

Not yet at least. The whip had split Pochita in two, sending his other half flying into that building. His heart was likely damaged, but in the end he had never had a heart weakness to begin with. His regeneration does not come from his heart, even if it is eviscerated, as long as he pulls his ripcord, he is able to regenerate back to peak condition (up to a High-Mid extent)

Considering she seemed to take pleasure in making Pochita kill Californians indirectly she might have done that for pure sadism or to force Pochita not to fight back as agressively/brutally as he could.
That or Yoru is just dumber than Makima and botched her contract's wording. Wonder if it has the same "it's not an attack if he loves me" weakness as Makima's.
 
Fear wise and physically, Yoru is still worse than a full fledged Primal Fear. She ain't getting that insane passive heal unless her fear reaches their level

Nah it won't, she said "burden of death", however that means she can lose an arm and not heal.
