DeMatteis also explicitly knew about cosmologies created by other writers in other stories when asked if they are within the Creator's Dream, yet still said they are within the Dream, so he's aware of the current stuff yet he's made it very clear that nothing is outside of the Dream, so that hasn't changed.

Personally, I don't think they should be split. I think we should ONLY catalog canon, so unless there is a canon reason for cosmology splits (the Eighth Multiverse) we should treat it as one.

Agreed, I was thinking of something like this myself.

I don't think his Universal Manifestation from Iceman needs its own key like we currently have, it should be merged with his mainline Universal Manifestation.
 
You know what ? Normally I would've let other peopole do it, but due to the overwhelming evidence I have of massive revisions in-bound, plus the freedom I now have with how flexible my job has given me because I've proven I'm not expendable already, I believe I'm going to go ahead and be the main enforcer of my revisions.

I'll be doing a private message thing that focuses on my revisions and those of others, so we can all get our stuff organized so it doesn't become a disorganized mess like previous threads have been about these issues, so everyone is on the same page before they are sent out there.

The values are still too low, they still put Danvers at small city at best and Thor as Moon level the other values still go too low. At the end they still claim Danvers is capable of holding herself against Hulk and is a strategiest on similar level to Captain America and is as smart as Thor.
What caught my eye is that they put values in joules.

Of Course, I don't expect proper scaling from them but tbh i didn't watch captain marvel and i have no impressed on her from movies and from comics (from very little i have read) she always seems the hot head one with bad decisions in the group. I have might read more comics to make a more accurate impression but that is what it is. Can you recommend some comics where she is more mature and reasonable ?

She is kind of an hot dead really, she is confident in her skills all the time so she makes decisions too fast and ends up not working, that's how her personality is. But saying she makes the bad decisions on the group? That's too far, others that people consider to be smarter have actually made much worse than anything she ever did. If you don't like her being "hot head" then you are not gonna like anything with her in it, but if you are willing to give her a shot Kelly Thompson's run of Captain Marvel is really good to the character and is a recent run and is shown less "hot headed" than some of the other books.

None of Thor's or skyfather Thor's most impressive feats are remotely acknowledged here, and he should have far more battle experience than Danvers, but Marvel Comics editorial department seems to have an extremely biased agenda going in that regard. 🙏

You can probably get mainline guys to crazy high tiers, fuckery happens when you try to use them to scale every other dude to that tier.

I've talked about how disingenuous current tiering is for Marvel characters, but yeah Marvelbros we prolly gotta admit we just... don't acknowledge antifeats, like at all. "Other verses don't either" yeah wank is a part of the entire culture of VSBW, and it will always be because whataboutisms and fic-dick measuring contests are basically all the entire wiki is based on... but it's not accurate is it? Like if we wanted to go whole hog we would be making respect threads or god mode versions or composites. Big number alone can't be your motivation for making revisions lol, if it was I gotta just say you're abit... stupid? Misinformed? For using this site because you'd get appreciated way more in other spaces lmao.

Beyond that most comic characters have mechanics to justify variability in their tier that WE don't represent on the file 90% of the time because we haven't read the character but at the same time we take what is written on file as gospel against our better judgement. ******* like Namor, Juggernaut, Human Torch and even Ghost Rider have mechanics that we just don't list on the file because we just haven't read 'em lol, but we act like they're this rigid touchstone of scaling whenever we put ******* at 5-B, additionally for some reason we list our glass cannons either as straight up the same tier as their hax, OR FAR WORSE, list them a considerably high tier based off of one singular physical feat someone got off a respect thread (Storm is like this, her 8-C is wack as shit and she is 9-B+ AT BEST). Please realize Respect Threads aren't based on indexing, they're a compendium, a compendium has DRASTICALLY DIFFERENT requirements on what goes in. One respect thread isn't made for scaling to 700 pages, one profile is.

But yeah at the end of the day "High 1-A Hulk" isn't the issue, scaleable High 1-A Hulk is, because I have seen when they write the guy goes "HOLY SHIT, I AM MAX RAGE, THIS IS AN EVENT COMIC, I AM GOING ALL OUT THIS IS IT" and futz around with Colossus or some shit because Marvel is not a shounen that perma kills characters and characters follow editorial guidelines. If we HAVE Thor at High 1-A or whatever the ****, NOBODY EVER should scale to him, because not everyone Thor fights has the same or even any variability mechanics, so you're just gonna be drowning in antifeats.

I thought that the "scale everybody to become nearly omnipotent" fever was getting too strong here, and I needed some help to make people use their sensibilies and common sense a bit, which I think that you did well above, and I agree with your post for the record. We should strive for aaccuracy and reliability, not bloated complete ridiculousness. 🙏
 
To be fair I can see why people would think 1-A+ Hulk would be reasonable these days given the entire reason for how existence has been retcon'd into a balancing act for the two strongest characters in the verse, TOAA and TOBA, so he should be in those ranges by that logic.
 
It's reasonable if that was the only Hulk we ever had, and we had to work off one run. I think Ewing's system mostly works, Immortal Hulk essentially has an entire aspect imo that's understated, but its implied TOBA and by extension TOAA were actively sandbagging for the sake of the narrative, a theme that sorta carries over from No Road Home

Ewing tends to work on those concepts and holdback alot in the works that he writes, in fact you can look at the latest Immortal Thor run where he implies characters like Grey Gargoyle of all people purposely holds back (implication being from his time as Mokk which made him hyper-aware of killing his opponents)

No offense but I can't figure out a single reason why anyone would be assed to make a speed revision. Marvel combat speed ratings are a joke anyways

Well, the Deadpool/Batman story was badly written content slop in my view, and I did not have a good impression of the rest of the stories in that issue either. The art in the Captain America/Wonder Woman story was good, but beyond that this crossover issue was a poor quality cash grab in my view.

However, Grant Morrison will write DC's Batman/Deadpool story and apparently turn it into a massively metafictional struggle against real world threats. Whether those real world threats end up being neofascist extremely far right politicians and their hate-demagogues and internet trolls, online scan hosting sites, just the powerscaling community, or something else, remains to be seen, but Morrison is usually a very competent writer and seems to have some degree of genuine spiritual/mystical insight and ability, so it will hopefully be good. 🙏
 
I'm wondering if anything can be done with this information from Magik's solo series.

So the antagonist for the second arc of her book is a Sorceress who created her Organization's impossible space base by inverting a falling star. Additionally she states the Organization's defenses and magic is fueled by this Star.

Now, I initially didn't put much significant thought into this since falling star is a colloquialism for meteors, meteorites, and asteroids.

However while doing a reread of the series I came across this observation.

Liminal remarks on the star having Hydrostatic Equilibrium. This means that the celestial body being referenced at minimum must actually be a genuine planetoidor larger as Hydrostatic Equilibrium is what distinguishes Dwarf Planets from smaller celestial bodies such as Asteroids and Centaurs.

All of this matters because Magik then uses the entire star to fuel one of her spells in the finale.
