Sonic General Discussion Zone Act 1: New Frontiers

Do we KNOW it was Sonic who destroyed the chains trapping Little Planet?
The Story of Little Planet. | Sonic the Hedgehog! Amino
I've SO many calcs for this simple scene. It's actually kinda wild

yes, he was, who else could have done it?
I just want to be sure cause like, then we also have the Eggman symbol flashing red right before the explosion and it could've been some self-destruct type thing. I know we also have Sonic running to it in the first place along with how he landed after chains already fell, but you get why I'm thinking abt it?

there should have been a more direct mention

Just read Sonic IDW issue 81 and the moon was half destroyed in the background of one of the panels which made me happier than it had any right to. I'm glad we are in an era where attention to detail and consistency are more emphasized in Sonic.

Also as for the comic itself Lunar doesn't really seem to have villain vibes unfortunately, although I'm hoping that they are up to something we don't know yet. Actually my insane conspiracy theory is that all of the members of the Celestial Troop take up the persona of Lunar when they commit robberies and that there is either a real/original Lunar that hasn't been introduced yet or Lunar isn't an individual at all, just a persona which could be why Lunar is refered to as they/them because the person in the outfit can be male or female depending on who the Celestial Troop sends.

Conspiracy theory aside Sonic IDW issue 81 was rather interesting and I'm hoping that Lunar/the Celestial Troop are just straight up villains since IDW is kind of lacking them and I also hope that they become recurring problems even after whatever grand plan they have is thwarted.

Inb4 someone uses this to push tier 1 base cast agenda.
Funnily enough even if this were a completely literal statement everyone would just get the same reaction speed and possibly movement speed buff Sonic gets from dodging and escaping from the Titans rather than an AP boost, that would go to the vehicles lmao

Tier 1 Extreme Gear

Hitting the Zombots with extreme gear dealt heavy damage to it.

Uh oh.

Where did you read it?

Lunar seems cool. I think the design is really nice, and I'm excited to see what's done with Lunar in the future.

The Moon detail makes me really happy too.

Should the Time Eater page have a note about how it still has the ability to erase space-time in SXSG? Even ignoring the JP dialogue since it technically isn't the original script, (although I'd say it's still worth considering due to the Sonic franchise being a Japanese IP,) with all the outside statements about it erasing/destroying space-time I think it could be concluded that consuming dimensional energy leads to erasing space-time, especially since Time Eater consuming dimensional energy means the Sonics still have to restore space-time like before. Plus I know 2 sources that I could show if I can, although one is of questionable validity and the other I can't find the source for, but it does say White Space is a "mysterious void outside of space and time." (It does confuse me how it's outside of space and time despite being a space itself, but the same goes for how erased space-time goes there, but I'm probably just overthinking it with how it isn't considered normal space)
Hopefully the last time I reply to this same message I sent sorry 😭 😭 😭

I also just remembered how zones get a "???" when you first interact with them which further supports the interpretation of erasure, it's likely just a hype moments and aura type thing but eh agenda

Fun detail from Toyoda's supervision

He got asked during a meeting, "How strong is Amy with her hammer?", and he answered that if you were allowed to make it comedic, it should be strong enough to send a small car flying 50 meters into the air with a full swing. He felt that for the recent Miku song, they put the Pico Pico Hammer was shown as that strong as well.

It's cool hearing them talk with each other. If we get a CrossTalk about Joker, I hope it's Wave and Jet again.

What's the general opinion on how Encyclospeedia is treated as a source, specifically due to its errors and goofs? Is it generally agreed to be reliable as a supplementary source as long as the information stated lines up and doesn't contradict the main game?
