Honestly I try and let it be water under the bridge, I really really do. But any time he comes in here with a passive-aggressive douche attitude, it just surfaces to my mind and gets me angry.

I like to talk to people who actually respect me enough to not pretend to know me and paint me as a sick freak, and who I can respect in turn. Not somebody who points fingers at entire groups with heinous accusations.

Sorry for not seeing that! The sole reason it isn't listed as layers yet is because LaserPrecision is trying to gather everything layered in the franchise and launching it in a CRT to see what sticks and what is rejected.

Currently we have Layered Chaos Control, layered Mind Manipulation for Eggy with certain inventions and from Dark Gaia, and layered Intangibility. All in due time!

• Small note about Chaos Control, but it works on Type 1 BDE realms (White Space). This means Chaos Control works on beings/areas with standard immunity to Time Stop, and iirc bypassing any amount of layers unless those are 1-A or above.

So yeah, TLDR it is to try and note everything that has layers before making a CRT to try and apply them.

Quick note: I meant that Layered CC, Mind Manip, and Intangibility is stuff we already have on the pages as we speak and not the only things we have of note.

I will play a little bit of devils advocate here just for the sake of fairness to DB.

For Mario vs Sonic 2 while spite was present in the episode was it exactly one sided spite in retrospect? After all DB portraying Mario as a violent sociopath who would kill someone over a chair is arguably as disrespectful as DB making the Sonic from that episode a complete wimp with no charm who got brutalized in the most unnecessary ways for a Death Battle between Mario and Sonic.

Then again I say that as someone who just finds Mario vs Sonic 2 so absurdly atrocious that it just loops around into being funny.

If I remember correctly that was one of the things that was brought up but I'm pretty sure the main arguments were gameplay thing's like how you are allowed to break bricks that are transmuted Toads and you can toss a baby Penguin off a cliff in Mario 64.

I think this is an issue with how many famous people get exposed for being horrible people, which has been especially noticeable ever since 2020, so it makes people paranoid of each other which is sadly understandable. But it's a completely different story when you pretty much look someone in the eyes and tell them they're like those types of people.

This was the same guy who made a theory about Luigi’s Mega Shroom, so the “seriousness” of a given theory ranges from “Doesn’t believe it all and seeks only to make you think/make a shitpost,” to “What are the physics behind the nonsense? (Believe the physics, understands it doesn’t apply to fiction),” to “genuinely believes this because he’s probably on the money, or at least feels like he is.”

On an unrelated note to everything here and on some light spoiler territory for anyone who doesn't plan to play the beta.

At first I thought that of all the items in Sonic Racing Crossworlds that the sheild was the lamest one. But I've changed my mind in Dinosaur Jungle because it turns out that if you use it right as the dinosaur chomps at the shortcut you will take no damage and be able to pass through safely as soon as you enter that portion of the track. That and being in first place and then getting hit with King Boom Boo only to deflect it with a sheild is a great feeling. Also speaking of Dinosaur Jungle after the first shortcut there's a second one that is blocked off by two cacti but there's a gap for an extreme gear player to slip through with good positioning which is a nice risk-reward shortcut for Extreme Gear players or people that use the cars but have an item to tank their way through the cacti.

No? The official timeline is all sorts of whack right now anyways, like Sonic Advance 1 not being mentioned, or the Storybook games, etc. Plus we have direct confirmation in the games (Frontiers and soon to be Crossworlds) that IDW is canon.

Speaking of the timeline I overall like the scaling here (there's ofc things i find iffy, like the whole hypertimeline thing for example) but I kinda wish it didn't use Prime and ESPECIALLY Speed Simulator, like why are we using a Roblox game there's nothing useful for scaling there, and even if there was, the franchise should have some dignity to it

Also iffy on IDW being used but that's mainly because of it being a comic and not a game which makes it feel a little too disconnected even if it's technically considered canon

Thanks for the response, my original message was probably a bit rude in hindsight so I apologize for that

- Personally I think the issue with the Hypertimeline is that it's not mentioned in the franchise and I still think the verse would still be at about the same level it is now without it, but it's also my fault for not exactly knowing how such a thing works other than skimming over the explanation page and arguments surrounding it, so I'll take back that statement.

- I'm aware SEGA considers Prime canon and Speed Simulator canon, although the confirmation for Speed Simulator's canonicity isn't too solid proof from what I've seen, but couldn't you ignore those entirely either way? Or would that be against the site's rules to ignore it?

- tbh I'm less concerned about the feats between the two and moreso just how "disconnected" it feels in terms of story and characters yk? Like I know IDW was said to be canon multiple time but because it's a comic series and not a game, it just feels a bit disconnected if that makes sense. That said Frontiers mentioned Tangle (yay Tangle!!!) So maybe it's not as disconnected, but yk what I mean?
