Sonic General Discussion Zone Act 1: New Frontiers

So the spinoff scene with Sonic is shaping up to be incredible with Sonic Racing Crossworlds next month but we still don't have details on the next mainline game. That said what are the hopes you guy's have for a Sonic Frontiers 2 assuming that is the next game?

For me I hope that multiple playable characters carry over from the Final Horizon update and that unique skill trees are a thing in the next game just with moves that are more specialized like some pure offense, other's utility based like a Sonic Heal type ability and a final group that are mobility based to give the skill tree more flavor than just murder thing's quickly like it sometimes felt like in Sonic Frontiers.

I hope Shadow is a playable character in the game. Same for Silver. That would be super peak.
 
Since Chaos Emeralds are responsible for half the 12 universe feat in Rush, both sets would scale to 0.5x 12 universes, right?

I like the voice acting in Frontiers. I want Mike Pollock gone, but aside from that, Sage, Amy, Eggman, and The End were all wonderfully acted in the game, for me. Knuckles's voice acting in Frontiers Divergence is also genuinely the best voice acting in the franchise, in my opinion. So, I really hope the next game can expand upon and continue the more natural and sincere feeling direction for the cast that Frontiers started. And speaking of that, I hope the writing continues too. Frontiers, as with any Sonic game it seems, was hurried out by SEGA, and this left a lot of the game's dialogue and script as unused content and such. I want the tone from Frontiers to persist, and with a story that has had more time to exist, and be built, rather than a story that quite possibly was altered a month or so before release.

I also need every stage and asset in Sonic Unleashed-Sonic Generations to be a complete no show for the next game. I would accept a data crash if it meant new actual models with actual new designs, rather than re-edited assets using the previous asset as its reference
 
To not get off-topic, of Sonic, I will just say he is not a good person. Regardless of his voice acting, I do not want his hands on this franchise in an official capacity, due to that.

Kinda feels like the Metal interactions with Sage and Egg might be hinting at an upcoming Heroes related thing.
 
Should the Time Eater page have a note about how it still has the ability to erase space-time in SXSG? Even ignoring the JP dialogue since it technically isn't the original script, (although I'd say it's still worth considering due to the Sonic franchise being a Japanese IP,) with all the outside statements about it erasing/destroying space-time I think it could be concluded that consuming dimensional energy leads to erasing space-time, especially since Time Eater consuming dimensional energy means the Sonics still have to restore space-time like before. Plus I know 2 sources that I could show if I can, although one is of questionable validity and the other I can't find the source for, but it does say White Space is a "mysterious void outside of space and time." (It does confuse me how it's outside of space and time despite being a space itself, but the same goes for how erased space-time goes there, but I'm probably just overthinking it with how it isn't considered normal space)
 
Does everyone + the Chaos Emeralds surviving the cosmology's destruction from Solaris' birth not count for a durability feat for everyone involved or is it another one of them outliers

Yeah, I know there's a imgur album about it, I just think it'd be nice to further cement Time Eater's abilities since I've still seen some debates over it yk?

Personally I'm somewhat on the fence about it extending past 1 timeline with all the arguments about it and "echoes" shit, although I do think there's strong evidence for all space-time, but the biggest thing is having the erasure there in the first place tbh.

+ Not relevant to powerscaling, but Sonic(s) resisting the erasure and restoring space-time gives this really cool "Sonic's freedom goes beyond space and time" thing to his character, especially since Sonic's freedom is also represented by his speed. Technically there's other characters who resisted the erasure but the only other guy restoring space-time was Shadow who is Sonic's equal and even he was struggling against his evil dad's control while the Sonics were mostly having fun

But thanks to the help of a user here, Out’o’Sound, I finally managed to wrap my head around it!

For starters, I just wanna say that I REALLY admire all of your work, your love for this franchise, and your dedication to keeping the Sonic verse’s pages well looked after!

Second, while I may not be the best scaler around, I’m so excited to finally be able to join in with discussions, and I do hope to contribute wherever I can!
