Sonic General Discussion Zone Act 1: New Frontiers

Apparently the Pac-Mobile in CrossWorlds is from Ridge Racer V. That's really cool.

Yeah I think this heavily implies that only the Cyber space track is simulated (if that), because unless Dodon Pa is the most cracked genius in the multiverse then I doubt he can "simulate" nor even know about the nature of White Space.

Also, unless you go the route of saying they are time travelling back to such a point, this helps prove that White Space exists independently of the Time Eater as the guides state and has always been around.

Also puts more credibility for layered Dimensional Travel if the World Rings/Travel Rings can go to non-existent dimensions/space-times.

Honestly, although I don't think every track will be simulated... would that really be impossible to consider? I mean, that is the joke of the character. It's the character no one thinks about, that everyone thought was just a badly-made Eggman disguise once again, and that it's impossible he can do as much as he shows to do... but he does. He is impressively smart and resourceful and that is the joke. If it were funny that somehow Dodon Pa was able to tap into the White Space and create a virtual simulation of it, then that could very likely be the intent.

Honestly, this would just be modern-day Big the Cat, the character no one thinks greatly about, but is secretly very powerful character, and people just ignore him because they dislike him.

Nnnnno, I suppose not...

It would be utterly bizarre, but... possible, I guess. Seems like the sort of lame gimmicky thing Sonic Team would do.

The more you speak on this the more I can see them doing it for a slapstick gag, which I'm not fond of lol. Oh well, if it happens then it happens

One day you will come back to plot relevance, Big... outside of a memory construct of you.

I'm happy Pac-Man's "getting passed" animation is his hands on head "oh no" type expression
Love it, such a callback to Pac-Man World.

Unironically a lighthearted Pac-Man and Sonic crossover comic (even in like a double-sized one-shot) would be incredibly fun for me. Even better if they're somehow already familiar with each other without elaboration lol

I can already see the ending of Frontiers 2, Hyper Sonic finally appears to defeat a Dark God that could defeat The End with a simple thought, but is ultimately defeated, only for Dodon Pa to appear with his space ship dropping a bomb that defeats the Dark God and then asks if everyone is ready for Cross Worlds 2, now featuring Deltarune Sans.

That would be awesome, personally. Sonic seems to be in World 2, so hopefully they can have some cool interactions there as well. Sonic remembering Pac-Man's birthday and stopping by is sweet.

Nah, Deltarune Papyrus. His first appearance and it's in a completely different game LMAO

Oh yes yes yes, especially since Pac-Man is now voice-acted in World 2 Re-Pac when he wasn't in the original release. Makes me wonder just how much dialogue there might be from Pac.

I loved seeing Pac in Green Hill, it almost looks like that's in his Sonic DLC pack but we'll really have to wait and see I suppose.

Yes! It's funny how it started off as back-and-forth happy birthdays on Twitter with sweet art.

It would be so minor but it'd be sooo cool if we see him enter Pac-Man's world through a Warp Ring. Would really enhance the consistency of it all.

Pffft lmao please Lord in heaven no
now featuring Deltarune Sans.
Nevermind. Based and worth it

Now THAT would be funny as all get-out lol

OK. I've been out of the loop for a bit, but I guess I'm gonna start running around in a mylar blanket like Chuck McGill. What the **** do you mean 2 of my ideas are in the recent issue of IDW?

An Espio & Rouge mission?
The Chaos Emeralds in a ******* coffin?

Coincidence? Maybe. But hyperspecific shit like this happens to me all the time, the electric eye, man, I'm tellin' ya.

Mfw Dodon Pa is now smarter than arguably both Tails and Eggman combined.

Granted, it would make sense why these areas are replications. Allows them to explain away realms that visiting would cause issues (Cyber Space's Cyber Corruption and etc). Interesting that Eggman knows the hazards are real.

because he is making replicas and he wants a real experience

If they are just simulations Dodon Pa probably isn't in the supergenius tier as technically he doesn't need to simulate every single inch of the locations he's simulating but instead just enough for a track. Although maybe that's just cope because I don't want Dodan Pa to be the smartest character in the verse.

Anyways that out of the way I love how Sonic Racing Crossworlds seems to get more goated with each passing week regardless of Twitter seeming to hate it

The website still says "Drift through dimensions", and it also mentions traveling through "worlds" with the Travel Rings. I think you have the idea in that it's more likely that only specific places are simulated, or, there was miscommunication within SEGA regarding the game's context and development.

Either way smthn tells me that this multiverse is not a standard one and was made for this game, given the simulation angle.

Depends. If we see celestial bodies in these tracks then while your sentiment holds true there seems to be much more simulated beyond the track we race on.

Twitter can suck a big, meaty, black **** because their tastes are almost always shit.
