Deactivating Anti-Hypertime annihilation mechanism limiter... | Sonic Cosmology Downgrade Part ?: Hypertimelines

And we see him showing up in multiple places at the same time:
This proves he takes areas locally, since there was one at the party and another at the arc, and it did not happen at the same time , but even if it did, it kills your own argument, because if we play both cutscenes at the same time (thank you for posting them btw, helped a lot), Sonic was trying to attack time eater while Shadow was already teleported to white space.

also the fact that the game features no entirely separate universes from Sonic's world. Instead, any alternate settings that appear are timelines within the main universe further shows time eater didn't erase the entire cosmology
Time Eater is already accepted to have erased the cosmology. You would need another CRT to debunk this.

That scene with Classic Sonic was when he destroyed all of space and time. Anything else is headcanon.
Headcanon? It's literally just the order of events shown in the cutscene?

I'm not even denying that, I'm just saying that he didn't do it all at once. He erased some in classic Sonic's timeline, and then he erased more in modern Sonic's timeline. That's made quite clear in the cutscene.

In the context of CD, which is when the fight is taking place as it’s specifically classic metal sonic, yes this is an alternate bad future. The good future, the likely canon one, is more brightly colored
Sonic 4, Sonic speed simulator the game you are using, both shows that bad future is the canon one of Stardust speedway.

Crisis city and stardust bad future are separate from the main universe so, no. They are or were made into alt dimensions.

Classic Sonic taking the destruction of the cosmology is currently accepted. That's why Classic Sonic has all these resistances.
Nonexistence Erasure (Enhanced Nature Type 1, Aspect 5 [Other: History]) , Plot Manipulation, Text Manipulation, Dream Manipulation, Enhanced Conceptual Destruction (Type 1 [6-D]), Mind Manipulation, Soul Manipulation, Emphatic Manipulation & Information Manipulation (Type 2 [6-D], 1 Layer; Unaffected by the Time Eater erasing history and all space-time/reality, which would include places such as Maginaryworld, leaving everything as a colorless timeless void. It was noted that Sonic and Classic Sonic had to restore the flow of time to restore their friends, including Amy, Knuckles and Tails, who were unaffected by Void's presence and attacks)
So yes, you would need yet another CRT to pass your headcanon.

Except they have never mentioned that the bad future is the canon one, and it also doesn’t make sense that stardust and only stardust is the canon bad future and everything else is the good future. Episode 2 I think just aped off the visual presentation of the Gens version to save time and Speed simulator having it can be chalked up to that game already dealing with alt timelines and dimensions.

Yeah and it doesn't make sense for Eggman to recall Crisis city, yet here we are.
Also no need to for that, we have two visual instances of it being the definitive future (for now, since the future in sonic is consistantly changing)

I don't understand how this proves your point because it's doing quite the opposite.

It’s not the definitive future, again the good ending in Sonic CD is “every single zone” being in a good future, the good ending is canon. And whether the future changes after that is irrelevant to Gens because the Metal Sonic fight is taking place specifically in the CD era, meaning that the bad future was the alternate at the time.

I think they just didn’t want to program in an entirely new modern version of the good future in Episode 2 for a location you spend about 1 minute in during the game, much easier to reuse the Gens assets. It‘s also irrelevant because what was canon during CD is the important element in context of Gens.

Idk lowkey this thread has made me exhausted, if the ht is removed so be it, good luck Sonic supporters though.
That's because the opposition keeps changing arguments everytime they get debunked. Just look at the fact OP doesn't even mention anything he put in his original post, for example. Of course that's exhausting when someone throws everything at a wall to see if it sticks.

Well okay I was thinking more just the sheer girth of points to go over, think we can all be civil and not resort to ad hominem in the future.

That's true, too. Starsprite, for example, has insulted me several times in this one thread.
Quote me and I will apologize for every letter I ACTUALLY insulted you in, but in return you do the same exact thing because you also insulted me here.

Do you have an official source that states there was a retcon?
A retcon doesn't have to be a statement when it was shown in 3 seperate games with the sonic lore being consistent on the future constantly changing.
Also just for a fun fact, you can still get the good ending despite not getting certain levels a good future as long as you collect all the timestones and not ALL zones got the bad future. I know this because I played the game and noticed that before.

Seems like 3 staff disagree with the OP but only one agrees with the OP. What more needs to be done before this is closed?

Getting all the time stones automatically makes every zone a good future.
Not really, since we see what actually happened in Sonic 4.
What happened in gameplay =/= actual cutscenes
It's not different from some games where despite the first game has best ending stuff, the next game continues on the good or mid ending stuff.

I think Time Eater time traveling to bring back crisis city does still make sense given the Iblis minions being present and the levels with them matching the state the other levels erased by time eater were in visually. Same with time traveling back to before time was erased in ‘06, resetting time can be done by rewinding prior to time being erased. So I’d probably still agree with hypertime.

In Sonic CD, the game that’s relevant to generations, getting all the time stones gets a good future in all the zones. What Sonic 4 does is irrelevant.

I'm more neutral now, but still leaning towards a disagree to the OP, time being linear doesn't really make sense to some otherwise important plot points. The ending of 06 is that time was reset so it never happens and yet that's an oxymoron because it also apparently still happened at the same time with other characters still remembering what happened. I'm not sure how or why Qawsed shifted to agree.
