The Elder Scrolls General Discussion Thread

Skimming through a RT on another website I found this quote from the ESO Meet the Character quotes for Fa-Nuit-Hen:

"Do not mistake me for one of those aristocratic patrons who adore art but would never deign to practice what they admire. I studied under my Barons Who Move Like This and mastered every fighting style in the Aurbis. My Baron Who Moves Like a Shivering Droplet said that my blades move fast enough to split light and sever rain from a thundercloud. I know how difficult combat can be, as I have experienced it several times over the eons. I'm sure you're familiar with the legends. I know you mortals still sing songs of how Morihaus and I would drink taverns dry and lay waste to the beasts of the land."

This would upscale quite a few characters no?

It would but everyone would be cautious because light in the elder scrolls isn’t light like our light. It’s pure magic, creation, or time in some cases. Light also emanates from beyond time, space, logic, causality, math, and across infinite planes of existence that are infinite in scope.

nope pretty sure fa already has immesurable speed, the people who scale to or above fa have already immeasurable speed

That is another immeasurable feat for those it isn’t an outlier for. Which is unfortunately all characters beneath low 2-C. Though I am curious we current have auriel’s bow be high 6-A scaling to Harkon, the arrows fired can be seen by the Dragonborn and you can walk out of the way with good positioning. Are the spells that go to the sun and back only from low 2-Cs?

First off, this makes 0 sense. Anu and ANU are two different things. Your key for Anuiel’s justification is literally talking about Auriel. Not Anuiel. Anuiel is a Monad-like figure and the source of all attributes and being. A sort of totality. Auriel is literally just Akatosh who’s a subgradient of Aka who’s a subgradient of Anuiel. So at least get the justifications correct and the scans. Anu isn’t really interacted with anymore than Padomay is. He’s just an all encompassing force stated to be ineffable. Outside of the Amaranth, you don’t really interact with him this being and you don’t “overthrow them” but literally return to the source and form your own creation with the images taken from the first dreamer

He specifically is replaced. The Amaranth goes from an uncaring emptiness to love. The story makes no sense if this isn’t the case since the entire point of the ending is everyone’s lives’ in the dream have improved.

Second:And how would Anuiel not get High 1-A+? Anuiel literally encompasses the many paths which exists outside the Aurbis as starlight beyond the cosmic interplay forming innumerable Aurbic structures spread from the initial seed. Worlds completely distinct from one another and have different laws and make ups. Basically extended model realism. Some of these structures don’t have magic or Daedra. Some of these structures have never even been made. And some of them or just completely distinct. It’s basically a stream of (im)possible worlds. So he will get the same rating that you’re trying to propose.

There is one step beyond CHIM, but you're right in that it is not godhood. It's the flowering of a statehood where the images you give birth to in your dream-- stolen (?) from first dreamer-- wakes up. Wails knowing free will. And begins to dream in the same way. Children of liberty without end, and then the music lives forever as a pirate radio tuned against the rules of Heaven and the vulgarities of Hell.
Not at all. You simply take the “images” from the first dreamer and form your own dream. It would make a little sense for them to just be in the same “dream” but just overthrow him. MK even said that if anyone obtain the state that “Tamriel would be in the rearview mirror”. Basically saying that they wouldn’t be in Tamriel anymore. The Numidium had already destroyed the entirety of the Aurbis basically. But paradoxically since he’s a tower, it made it so he was paradoxically holding up the Aurbis is a sort of irony. That’s why when he was defeated, the digital said “NO MORE WHEEL!” “UNION” because the trap within the trap happy come undone, and there was no more Aurbis. No more wheel. Especially given all the damage that was done, man timed no longer exists alongside the Altmer. The numidium had retroactively erased them from the pattern of possibility. There’s another quote that I would have to dig up but he basically says that it’s an exodus from the dream entirely in the sliding out to create your new one completely distinct from the other. You have to remember that the whole of the dream is a trap. That’s why it’s called the trap within the trap. The only way was to escape it completely, and create your own dream with a new theme. But the first dreamer remains.

We haven't seen a fleshed-out alternative to CHIM to support something more preferable, but I promised a long while back to provide one. We'll see.

I will say that, CHIM or not, there is no evidence that either Talos nor Vehk achieved Amaranth. If they did, Tamriel would be in their rearview mirror. The Amaranth deserves its own topic, really. Its core concept is the most divisive among the mystics, in my opinion.
Found it

More like slide out from the cosmos to become a new one. A splitting of hairs, maybe, but the Amaranth is the hardest concept I've ever attempted, so I'm a bit picky about it.Anyone that can make the final jump goes to sleep and dreams forever, making a new cosmos and being each new part of it, watching as those new parts wake up within him/her, their actualizing children, some of which naturally rebel, but love begets love which is the Amaranth.

If someone trying to replace the dreamer becomes a dreamer, like you said earlier, than the first dreamer can’t be tier 0, you can’t have an equal in tier 0 in your verse unless they are the same person just viewed differently

Ignoring that is death of the author as that doesn’t match with how coda ended with Anu being replaced with love. Also reaching a tier 0 is also not allowed on this site unless you let go of yourself and accept becoming one with it again, but Anu didn’t do that he specifically ascended into the role which contradicts tier 0.

My response quite literally proved that they aren’t replacing the dreamer. Go back up and read it. It even says they take the images from the first dreamer. Meaning that they’re still sort of derivative from that first dreamer..
