Does the current canon interpretation of Luke vs Vader treat him as specifically more skilled? From what I know, it's a trading of blows at a similar level that is then compounded by a greater level of power due to Luke tapping into the dark side

The main point of episode 6 is that Luke never succumbs to the dark side; he comes close, but it doesn't happen.
The database states that he uses anger, but anger isn't the same as accessing the dark side, since some Jedi battlesaber forms utilize anger without accessing the dark side.
Furthermore, even if he had used the dark side, it is currently accepted (in vsbattle) that the dark side confers greater combat ability, so it would be the same. And I'm not sure that the increase in physical power this way is as direct as DB.
Although Luke uses Force Choke at the beginning of the film, was it only considered a dark side technique decades later?

I don't think so. I think it was more in the context that it was at this moment that Luke truly fought with all his might.
Throughout the film, Luke didn't want to fight/kill his father. He repeatedly refused to fight Vader.
And even in the final fight, Luke remains defensive for a long time, even hiding from Vader, telling him he won't fight him. It's only when Vader mentions corrupting Leia that Luke steps forward, wanting to truly fight seriously and go all out.
I see Vader's defeat more as Luke fighting seriously for the first time in the film, wanting to defeat Vader, than him accessing some aspect of the dark side and becoming more powerful.

As I said, I don't take this literally, since Luke was only really fighting for the sake of fighting at this point.

Guide released in 2013, I don't think we can use it.
But where else is the issue of becoming more powerful (like physically) mentioned? At least in the database it's only said that when using rage Luke attacked Vader more violently, dominating him.

The book Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know came out in September 2015, and the first season of Rebels ended in March 2015.

Oh yeah, she was getting her ass kicked later on the fight although it is possible she is rusty since she haven’t been in active combat for a long time

Also now I think about it, she is not in her prime since the Clone War era and I assume it has been years or decades since Ventress got herself into a lightsaber fight and laying low. (It is shown in the Bad Batch where we see her making a appearance later on)

I wonder when my excitement for Star Wars will end.
I was thinking about taking a break when I finished separating Canon and Legends.
But ever since @Sir_Marvulous mentioned wanting a skill blog, I haven't stopped messing around in the sandbox.
I don't know why I feel this way; I didn't even feel this way when messing around with my favorite verses in VS Battle. Maybe it's the excitement of seeing things being built, since the verse was completely outdated.

The initial impulse was that I started playing Fallen Order, so if I play Hogwarts Legacy, will I be excited to update the Harry Potter verse?
I was thinking about taking a break when I finished separating Canon and Legends.

Another thing I discovered is that the Grand Inquisitor knows all lightsaber forms and also knows how to counter all of them.
Shit, if this continues, the upper skill level of the verse will be made up of guys who are as skilled, if not more so, than guys who know all lightsaber forms, as well as how to counter all of them.

Right now, I'm trying to find general statements about the Jedi. Like, how skilled they are compared to warriors who don't use the Force.
I only remember Anakin saying in Episode 1 that Jedi can't be defeated. But I wanted something more.

I'd like to offer my opinion.
If I were to make a CRT for this lightsaber combat sandbox,
Should I first propose the blog without the character statements/feats and scale, so that it would initially just be a demonstration of lightsaber combat and Jedi arts, or should I only propose it when I have a considerable amount of character statements and feats to form a skill scale?
Because I can release the CRT for the first one almost immediately after I apply the Canon and Legends separation. The second one will take a long time.

I'd propose that you let skill feats get gathered, THEN make a skill blog for Canon and a skill blog for legends. I mean look at Darth Marr's profile, it has perfect skillwank.

I heard both bad and good reviews on the Sequel series especially the final film for that matter.
More negativity on that especially with ppl not taking kindly of “Somehow Palpatine has returned”
Granted, they kinda tried to resolve that issue with other novels and some other things that should already been explained in the said film in question (TROS).

I liked episodes 7 and 8 when they came out.
They weren't perfect and had their problems, but I think they were interesting enough and had cool concepts.
I think if episode 9 had been good, the quality of the previous episodes would have been acceptable.
Just like the prequel trilogy.
