My first CRT, should be simple. TFC Demoman (Greg) can use Detpacks which this accepted calculation puts them up to High 8-C (3.6 tons of TNT).

This would only affect Greg's attack potency, which would read something like this:

Attack Potency: At least Small Building level (An elite team of mercenaries, they spent six months hunting down the Administrator’s best, with the TF2 crew considered the rejects and laughing stock of the mercenary world, only losing due to the mercenaries no longer having souls. Their weapons are still capable of harming the post-Gravel War mercenaries), Large Building level with Detpacks (Can pulverize large rock walls with his Detpacks)

That's all.

*Edit: This most likely doesn't scale to the mercenaries' durability since detpacks can kill them even at a distance

Agree: LandonTheGuy, Jason_Courne, Diamond_Drone, DaReaperMan, OrangeFR, Crabwhale, Armorchompy

Disagree:

Neutral:

What makes me a good Demoman? If I were a bad Demoman, I wouldn't be bumping this thread, now would I?

i think this is a fair change, it doesn't scale to the mercs durability, right?

I can't find a source for the detpack's damage (and I don't have a PC to test it out), but it seems like a common sentiment that no one can survive the detpack, at least point blank.

try to find some yt gameplay of tfc to see if they can survive with some distance from it

Well, I found this video where the detpack kills a Scout (?) point blank, and this video where a Demoman gets killed from his own detpack at a distance despite dropping down from it's position.

Ignoring the current upgrade thread, the whole verse scales around 0.086 tons.

Yeah agreed, though now that I am significantly better at calcs than I was in 2021, I should note that the Warpath calc is probably much higher since the concrete wall is way further away from the rocks the Detpack has to placed near and thus would require more energy to destroy due to Inverse Square Law.

Anyways, simple calc for simple one-shot weapon, agreed.

Thanks everyone, what else needs to be done before the change can be applied?

Would you be willing to do a recalc?

Obviously agree with this.

I really gotta sit down and rework the scaling here, though I have technically done so before it was never applied.

Really main part of changing them is just that the Classic Mercs consistently get one-shot by the TF2 mercs, with like two exceptions I think lol

Alright, though that's not really fair for the TFC mercs, since there were extenuating circumstances.

Like Tf2!Pyro blowing them up, Zhanna one-shotting TfC!Demoman and Miss Pauling at the same time, with the only physical feats being for TFC Pyro and TFC Heavy.

Their weapons scale to the TF2 cast, but in terms of physicals they mostly suck lol

We'll have this debate another time, or another place. I don't want this to be as derailed as my Hyperion CRT.
