Saint Seiya Discussion Thread (IV)

Eh, the anime doesn't need it. You have the Big Bang creating time statement in the anime
It’s complicated to scale everyone to BBs at peak. Since Saga face tanks a bb and it explicitly hardly does anything to him. But guys who are also much stronger then saga peak at BB level.

i guess you could chalk it up to his cloth? Maybe? Like, by the Hades arc, much less the Omega parts, sanctuary Saga just isn’t that strong, but they still hype up BBs even though he eats those for breakfast

The anime is clearer about this, especially if you go into Omega and even SoG with God Gold cloths. Anime Gold Saints at their peaks are explicitly Big Bang level

Just realized my first sentence there was wrong. I mean that flat out scaling gold tiers to the Big Bang is awkward.

Because Omega characters would just one tap Saga, and still hype up attacks that he’d just tank. So having them with a lower tier usually, and then Low 2-C at peak would make sense to me

Or you could have stronger characters be at a far higher level of Low 2-C than Saga. Two characters can be Low 2-C but one could still one shot the other

I guess? But let’s say we have Saga at Low 2-c. Now take Mime, who is exponentially stronger then Saga.
Then take the Twin God warriors who are even stronger.
Then take Hagen who’s stronger than that. Then take Siegfried who’d stomp Hagen. Siegfried is explicitly weaker than Kaasa, according to Shun.
Ikki stomped Kaasa.
Kanon is stronger then that Ikki
8th sense Ikki is stronger then that.
Adult Pre Omega Ikki nearly lost to one of the Kings of Mars.
And the Omega Bronze saints scale to those.
And Tokisada is stronger, and cannot whip out a BB normally.

There’s prob some Movie stuff I could shove in there too but I can’t be assed to think about the movies

A very simple way to look at it

Tokisada cant do a big bang with using Saturn's EoT dimension which is explicitly stated to be able to be destroyed by a BB.

Saturn is then multiple times stated to be stronger than any enemy Seiya and co has faced.

This type of scaling makes Saga > Saturn, and yet at the same time Saturn > Saga

thinking about it more, saying they are all Low 2-C, or only low 2-C at peak equally contradicts the anime because the anime just wasn’t consistent. Very nice. Although I do think the anime in its later installments tended towards the latter.

Is the “void” into which Hades of the lost world sent the pegasus of that world with his sword in G Assassin the same type of “void” that the gods use when they use dunamis?

Sworn enemies btw

DW comes back this month. Can't wait for Saito to introduce the Gnostic Monad so we get tier 0 StS

I just noticed, from 2:06 onwards, you can also hear Mime's Harp in the background. Honestly this surpasses the original composition, this is too much musical genius.

A Dark Wing anime with good animation and music could genuinely be a great 'reboot' to the series even if it doesn't follow the traditional Saint Seiya formula much like most fans are used to. I'd watch it over a million different generic Isekai all day, everyday and twice on Sundays
