Given the level of hacking, cheating, modding, exploiting, etc etc etc by peeps in the game, yeah pretty much (again, imagine trying to scale sandbox/open-world moddable games with the inclusion of every possible hack, mod, cheat, exploit, etc in each of the games, I still have no idea how far they'd rank/scale in terms of tier honestly)

The main reason people argue otherwise is because they enjoy applying Platonic concepts to SS and SM, but treat DB with Aristotel in mind.
And hey, it's fine to have this thinking, but if you match all three shows with the same philosophy in mind it's obvious why Goku solos. He is faster, more experienced, and can trade blows with and defeat multiverse busters.
Edit: This also applies to Goku (and other anime MCs) vs DC / Marvel superheroes. To people, superheroes represent archetypes, or dare I say it, Platonic concepts. Dragon Ball is much more focused on giving the impression that working on yourself will allow you to improve, so people treat it as an Aristotelian show. It helps explain why Dragon Ball and other shounen series like One Piece and Naruto are so widely debated.

It's even funnier cause Socrates and Plato were skilled in combat (Socrates was a hoplite and Plato had wrestling experience) and Plato and Aristotle both also respectively criticised and wrote treatises on rhetoric which is part of persuasion, argumentation and debate alongside logic and dialectic.

The best example that comes to mind with the Plato and Aristotle thing is Kami. He's been implied via statements to be able to recreate the moon, and I believe it was him who proposed it in exchange for Goku's tail so as to prevent future Great Ape rampages. This was never shown on-screen though, and many people continue to believe to this day that kami is not actually capable of creating celestial objects because "we don't know how we did it and it could have been the dragon balls, in which case anyone can do it".

I don't think more popular verses generally will demand/attract more scrutiny over the smallest things. As much as I dislike one piece as a piece of media to consume for fun entertainment. I recognize people for some reason get stupid nit picky and try to block even the most reasonable easily apprant upgrades. Bigger verses be like that.
